Just saw "The Expendables" today and it was so-so. Don't get me wrong, the novelty of having all those huge action stars together is great and all, but what is has in novel awesomeness, it has in plot suckage. Watch the movie for it's novelty and don't expect anything epic in terms of plot, progression, or direction.

7/10 (one point for each of the expendables crew, including Rourke)

Note: Every man owes it to his fellow man to watch this movie. If you're a man, you should have no excuse to pass up this testosterone pumped film! It is, by far, one of the manliest movies ever made.

That's the point - action movies are not supposed to be gauged by plot. There should be a lot super uber boom and kuku in awesome style, and some nice gags. Nothing else matters.

Movies I watched in last few days:

Prince of Persia - I think the movie turned out to be more reasonable than I imagined. The role suited to Jake and it was not boring. Considering, it was based on a video game, the movie held its own.

Salt - Well nothing new about this movie, I didn't enjoy it.

Twilight Eclipse - Like its predecessors, a boring and really lame movie. Sorry if anyone does not like my comment. But the whole thing about this series is literally below average. The acting is awful, I don't know what 3 of them (Kristen, Pattinson, Taylor) always try to pull. The plot itself had nothing interesting to offer. I had enough of these sequels, never going to watch another Twilight movie.

Hopefully, I will watch Furry Vengeance today. Brendan Fraser is one of my favorite actor.

I saw Grown Ups earlier and...

It was great! As a person who grew up on comedians such as Sandler, Rock, and Spade, I've got to say that I have no complaints. Don't believe all the negative reviews by the critics. This movie left me with a smile on my face and a really nice nostalgic feeling in me.

I can't remember if I've reviewed Salt yet... but it's basically the Bourne Identity, but with a chick.

I watched Fury Vengeance yesterday. It was a simple and funny family movie. Some scenes were hilarious. Brendan Fraser is one of my favorite and Brooke Shields, well she is still attractive.

i enjoyed Salt it was nothing special but alright movie.

i liked grown ups i heard it getting bad reviews but it was a fun film.

also im really really looking forward to Tron in november i love the first tron and this new film looks amazing and a soundtrack by daft punk helps too..and oliva wilde..

Yeah Scott Pilgrim ain't out over here til tomorrow(25th) and I'll definitely watch it when's it out over here.

Just finished watching Toy Story....FINALLY!!! What an amazing film, I didn't cry but I was very moved and the characters, villains alike were all amazing. Ken was just wow! and so was Lots-o. I highly recommend this to anyone who hasn't seen this yet.

Not much love for Scott Pilgrim vs The World huh?

I recently saw it.
It was awesome, inventive and fast-paced fun in a dumb pop-culture flavor. Unfortunately, compared to the original material, it felt a bit watered-down and truncated here and there to fit in the movie format and lost a little bit of its soul.

Some say that Michael Cera's performance was a bit weak.
Honestly, I didn't notice between the gags and the scenes where he was being subbed by a double who knows kungfu.
Overall it was one of those rare movies that treats the younger generation with respect and dared to branch off into a direction all but unknown to those sycophants to the academy with a precious lawn to guard. It wasn't perfect, but I liked it a lot and there is so much potential in this formula of mixing deep with wacky.
Would gladly see it again.

Finally, someone else who's seen Scott Pilgrim! I was beginning to think I was the only one here who saw it.

I haven't read the source material yet (I plan to in the near future ), so I can't compare it to the movie. Though I'd expect what Kravmaga said to be true. That tends to happen quite often when you take a comic or book and put it on the big screen. Still, the movie is a lot of fun, and one I'd recommend to anyone. :3

i watched Splice today.

it a 6/10 it kinda predictable but is an intresting film n the creature effects are intresting...also Butterfly form Aizen appears in the film to if see it ya know what i mean

Saw The Expandables yesterday, awesome action movie, the fights the one-liners, the references, etc not a strong plot but you don't go to see a movie like that for the plot...

I give it 8/10 and Highly recommend it to any person out there that loves action movies, you won't be disappointed.

i saw expendibles tonite..was aweasome...solid fun film with some plot not much but it there..

only thing is i would have not hand randy coulture i dont like him rather have dwayne johnson aka the rock..be better stone cold vs the rock...also wanted more Terry Crewes...

The other day I ended up seeing The Other Guys with Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg. It wasn't Will Ferrel's best movie because that was obviously Anchorman and that movie's comedic value will never be repeated, but nonetheless it was still a good one. It also wasn't Wahlberg's best role but it was still funny seeing someone who has been so serious his whole life play someone with a comedic role in this movie. The presence of Samuel L Jackson and the Rock were hysterical even though short lived for the movie. Overall if you want a laugh then by all means see the movie because it will do just that but don't go in irrationally thinking its going to be a masterpiece like Anchorman because then you will be let down. lol.

I watched The Expendables yesterday. I would rate it not more than 6 on a scale of 1-10. Nothing brilliant about the movie at all. Just some random scenes that were good.

The other movie I watched was Green Zone. The story was about US invading Iraq for WMDs. With Matt Damon in it, the movie was bound to be at least a decent watch. The movie actually turned out to be much better. I would rate it 8.
