Movies The Movie Thread!

[Gold Knight]

OMG, DZ, we think alike. I've been wanting Mysterio to appear in the Spidey movie for the longest time. I've said it at all the superhero movie forums =D

Anyway:

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest 'Teaser'

Dunno if you've seen it, but check it out.

[Hermie]

If you have heard nothing about it, then you haven't been looking good enough. :P

[Gold Knight]

Haha, looks just like Sandman. Excellent.

[Dragonzair]

OH.
MY.
FRIKKIN.
GOSH.

Liked the PoC2 trailer, DZ? ^_^ - GK

I don't really expect alot out of x-3. it looks like it's just going to be a bunch of high powered mutant attacks combined with insane special effects to show huge explosions and psycho fighting. the only thing i really want to see is jean grey go phoenix and like annihilate things. shadowcat has a boring power and so does angel, but beast should be an interesting addition. though nightcrawler's the cooler blue fur guy.

Though the best movie in the world is kill bill.

[Gold Knight]

I'm more curious to find out about whether Colossus plays a major role or not. He's always been one of my absolute favorite characters in the X-Men universe.

[Orochimaru-chan]

Narnia is going to have another film out this 2007. Theyre making 'Prince Caspian' next, yaay!

[Dragonzair]

YAY! I loved that book! But the ending was soo sad. T_T It reminds me of growing up. >.<

GK: I hope he does too. XD He played such a small role in the second movie...but he was a part of the team, last I saw the trailer. Along with Rogue and Kitty Pryde. And Bobby Drake.

[Orochimaru-chan]

From the trailer it seems that theres a love traingle between Rogue, Ice-man and Shadowcat....WTF!

[Dragonzair]

I know. That part just shocked the shit off of me. XD

Actually, I'm awaiting any Logan/Ororo scenes, even if there's nothing going on between them. ^_^ I read somewhere that the director was planning on showing the friendship-relation between those two.

I'm a big fan of those two in the comics, and I'm so highly dissapointed in the rumours the Black Panther might be marrying Ororo in Uncanny X Men. I MEAN, WTF?!?!?!?!

sympathy for mr.vengence - This is the story of Ryu, a deaf man, and his sister, who requires a kidney transplant. Ryu's boss, Park, has just laid him off, and in order to afford the transplant, Ryu and his girlfriend develop a plan to kidnap Park's daughter. Things go horribly wrong, and the situation spirals rapidly into a cycle of violence and revenge. info provided by - imdb.com

movie is very graphic and is not for children/teens. Rated R for strong gruesome violence, strong sexuality, language and drug use. or just click on this link for the movie info: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0310775/

[Gold Knight]

Interesting, I'll check that out. Thanks, Calibur.

Sounds just like what I'd like to watch tonight... to bad the Greek title could be anything from "Mr.Vengeance" to "Ruy" to "Sex, Drugs and the worst abduction evah!!1!1!1!!"

P.S.: Your VG cats rule as always

Interesting, I'll check that out.  Thanks, Calibur.

After you do, do you mind writting something about how you related to the main character sharing a main characteristic? I bet you'd be the best at understanding that part of him (though the movie could be structured so as for us hearing people to understand him, which would complicate things to no end (I wonder if it'd work too). Still, I'm curious (like cats are)

Anyway, back on topic. While on holidays in Leonidion I got some dozens of movies from my dad (movies found in newspapers and the such). Among them was "Good Will Hunting" which I thought to be an entirely different movie, still got positively surprised
It's about a very smart young man, Will Hunting, who's actually a math wiz and probably has Shikamaru level IQ. Will, has had a rough childhood, he is an orphan who has had a number of foster famillies, though he didn't root in anyone of them. The movie is about Will and how he evolves from a smart ass slug to a gracious genius butterfly. Or something a lot less poetic, still full of greatness! This movie will be my top favorite for a long while Some of the most noteworthy parts for me are Will's meetings with his psychiatrist, Sean, and the way they affect each other

They showed this at the local movie festival, but I chose to see another Japanese film called Karaoke Terror instead, and I must say, it was incredibly fun.

Remembered another movie! Im looking forward to "Clerks 2" wee! Im kind of on edge about it, but been watching the video journal at clerks2.com and its seeming like it will be some good stuff. Okay, thats my bit.

[Zenith]

I'm looking forward to watching "My Kungfu Sweetheart". It's a cantonese movie i think..according to many ppl i know, it's super funny and stuff. Although the No.1 movie to look out this year is definitely Superman Returns! Now that's a classic remake!

[Dragonzair]

I heard that there's a Kung Fustle 2!!!!!!!!

It's "Kung Fu Hustle 2"!! XD - Zen
Leave her alone.  She's the typo queen after all, it's her "thing" XP /~Hermie
Nevertheless, a correction was probably necessary XD *hugs DZ* - GK
Typo Queen to the rescue!
I can't wait to see it. xD I enjoyed the firsat movie, and I really want to see Shaolin Soccer. And I honestly can't wait for Pirates of the Carribean 2, as well.

Johnny was so hilarious *hot* in the trailer.

[Leen]

Maybe I'll go and watch Fearless by Jet Li. Also the strange thing, Memoirs of Geisha is banned in China when two of the main characters in that movie are actually chinese themselves. I dont know the reason the government decides to do so, but banning an academy-nomiated film wont be too wise for their econmy, will it? =/

[Zenith]

The movie is banned in China coz of the many problems it could cause..remember the Japanese occupation of China a couple of decades ago? By using 2 famous Chinese actresses in a Japanese-themed movie is sorta like inviting trouble..

[icecoldsoul18]

Pirates of the Carribean 2 will be amazing. Simply because while all the girls are going to go see Johnny Depp, I'm going to go see Keira Knightley, who was incredibly hot in the first one.
