Just some of my thoughts on pairings.
Lucy x Natsu x Lisanna
Natsu strikes me as a little bit similar to Ryoma from Prince of Tennis. Ryoma is so focused on tennis and given his young age he currently has no interest in girls, even though some are obsessed with him. Natsu's situation is a little bit different, but it's still similar. Natsu's focus is on becoming an S-Class mage so he can find Igneel and that is one of his biggest priorities at the time, that and they keep running into dangerous dark guilds that nearly annihilates them all the time, which generally gives little time to think about romance.
There's definitely something between Lisanna and Natsu, but I'm personally hoping nothing will come of it as I'm not particularly fond of Lisanna (her excessive "MIRA-NEEEEEEEEEE" shouting drove me mad) and I just find her generally annoying.
I'll be generic and go for NatsuxLucy. Lucy can also be extremely annoying, but I still find her much much better than Lisanna. That and I think she and Natsu make a far better match. I also think Lucy might fancy Natsu a little more than she or anyone else thinks, she just doesn't realize it yet. She did after all keep "beautifying" Natsu and just the thought of that made her blush to the point of steam blowing out of her ears. Then again, she thought he had a crush on her. But she's still blushed many other times when he's stared at her.
Gajeel x Levy seems likely in the long run. It's pretty damn obvious Levy has a crush on Gajeel (she blushes whenever he says something kind to her, she says she "hates" him but actually means the opposite etc). Even Jet and Droy has stated that Levy seems to have a crush on Gajeel. The question is, will Gajeel realize this (or will Levy confess?) and if so when? What will his reaction be? Only time will tell really.
Jellal x Erza is pretty much decided. They obviously love each other but Jellal thinks he's done too much evil to be with her and that he needs to repent for his sins. In the long run, they won't be able to stay apart. Still...am I the only one who thought Erza was a little cold about Simon's feelings for her? She was like "I was well aware of his feelings for me" but it kind of felt like she didn't really care because all that goes through her head is Jellal. Which is kind of sad because if he hadn't done what he did I think (and if Erza had been able to get over Jellal) she and Simon could have made a pretty cute couple.
Mirajane x Laxus
Has anyone ever given this pairing any thought other than just a simple "maybe"? I don't know why but it just struck me once and it seems like a pretty interesting pairing to me, and a likely one. They may be opposites but opposites do attract to each other sometimes after all. I can't really imagine Mirajane coupling up with anyone else in the guild other than Laxus at the time.
I've tried to think of a pairing for Cana but I can't really come up with one because I don't like her, at all. I find excessive drinkers very unattractive and she's worse than excessive. That and she decided to go on with the exam despite the dire situation on Tenrou Island, which made her go below zero on ranking for me (notice the Aquarius reference there?). She DID come back with Fairy Glitter and all but I still hate her.
If I don't stop writing now I never will...so that's about it for now.
