yeah but they'll probably end together only at the last chapter although natsu lately is being such a perv toward her xD

I heard mashima originally didnt want to bring lissana back (for development purposes) but the anime poeple convinced him but he doesnt have much for her to do or so it seems.

yea its almost a slap in the face to the readers because you would think that natsu would have all of these emotions towards her, and he barely acknowledges her, i realize this is a shounen title and is not a romance driven plot, but for mashima to bring her back , just to let her be some supporting cast member, after all of that drama was built up about her and natsu's childhood (embellished by the anime without a doubt) is an insult to the fans

well, the anime made it a slap in the face, i dont mind nali (but recently my naluness killed it for me) and the manga flashback wa so sweet i wouldnt mind natsu wit lisanna if he didnt end up with lucy but the anime kind of exaggerated and mashima clearly doesnt want to change anything he planned even if he brought lissanna back

You heard wrong, the anime people didn't convince him to bring her back, unless you just mean that they convinced him in that he liked what they were doing with her.

Wasn't it a friend of Mashima's that convinced him to bring Lisanna back? Because from what I know, Mashima had really no plans of bringing Lisanna back. It is true that the whole natsu-lisanna in the anime was way too overdone.

Honestly I don't see the two as a pair at all. Lisanna teased him about being his wife once when they were kids, raising an egg. Probably any kid who ever played house with anyone as said that. The only other time the manga ever remotely suggested there might be something was when Gildartz teased him, and even then I get the sense that it was more just because Natsu didn't have many other female friends. He didn't even seem to fully recognize that there was a second gender to appreciate until after the time skip, and none of that sudden interest has gone towards Lisanna.

I think the rule i first girl wins anyway. Lucy ran into Natsu at the beginning of the series before we saw him with anyone else, so the two seem like the most likely couple just for that. In a shoujo the childhood friend would have a shot, but for a shounen it's rare to see something deep. Then again, there is Jerza so maybe Lisanna's got a shot. Of course... she hasn't seemed too romantically interested in Natsu either.

Although I'm pretty certain than in the end it will be Natsu-Lucy, I'm a big fan of the "childhood friend" thing usually, so I really wouldn't mind if it ended up being Natsu-Lisanna.

As for Lucy... well, she always have Leo, right?

No its more like the first girl the Reader sees the Protagonist meeting. Lisanna came way later, like after the Phantom arc which was the major beginning of NaLu in a lot of people's eyes.

I'm not a shipper really (don't care about romance in manga) but there's so much ship tease in Fairy Tail it's a bit hard to ignore. With that in mind, this is what I see as the pairings (or intended pairings) in FT:

Natsu x Lisanna: I see Natsu and Lucy's relationship as more a brother-sister type thing, but I wouldn't be very surprised if I was proved wrong.
Luc x Leo: though yeah, I'm not sure where poor Aries fits into that. Then again, Loke likes having a girl on either... arm.
Aquarius x Scorpio (lol!)
Erza vs Jellal (I don't know what she sees in that guy. :P)
Gray x Juvia: though I'm not sure why Gray is so put off by her advances - Juvia's hot!
Elfman x Evergreen: may as well be an Official Couple at this stage.
Levy x Gajeel: poor Jet and Droy, lol. Though I suppose if Mashima Pairs the Spares they'll at least have each other. XD

As for Freed, well I wouldn't be surprised if we got some Ship Teasing with him and Cana. Though having said that, he did get the pleasure of having Mirajane straddle him. XD And he does seem to like Laxus a lot...

Did anyone see Natsu's expression as Minerva bully her bad? The painful expression Natsu had was completely different from Gray and Erza. He was yelling stop it with such an agonizing expression. I think that was the only my fangirl side screaming at me for a nalu moment esp since this is a shonen manga. I pray that there's a tiny romance for next chapter between Natsu and Lucy.

Ahh, it would only be so much more hurtful, if Lucy will be gone or disappear on the 7th day. I think the movie has a bigger chance of having a romantic situation than the current manga, where it's more rage for ST than love for Lucy Imo.

Plus, there's that age difference now...

The age difference will be the deciding factor. :u

But I do support

Gray x Juvia - I have no clue how Gray feels about her, I just recall that akwardness from likes 10 chapters ago when Erza brought Juvia's feelings up.
Gray x Ultear - They look good together :P
Levy x Gazelle - They also just look good together, though I do want some sort of scene where he apologizes to her, Jet, and Droy.

Erza and Gerard - I really do feel like Gerard needs to answer for his crimes, and not get one of the "best" female characters in the series. Although Gerard was being controlled, I still see him as a villain. That's who he was made out to be up until he was brought back to life. He is even running around with the person who was controlling him. (Ultear was supposedly controlling him, right?). Also, the dude is acting like a wimp, even after 7 years. Plus, there's that age difference now...

Nothing happened between them yet, but I get the feeling she will end up with Romeo.
He's 13 now, and she's still 12.

And I feel Mashima is pushing him to be a Natsu #2, (kinda like Konohamaru in Naruto).
So it would fit if he would get one of the 3 heroines of the story.

Erza and Gerard - I really do feel like Gerard needs to answer for his crimes, and not get one of the "best" female characters in the series. Although Gerard was being controlled, I still see him as a villain. That's who he was made out to be up until he was brought back to life. I don't really get the whole "still a villain" argument. It's like saying Joey should have suffered in YuGiOh (I am so sorry for the reference) for having been forced to duel Yugi. It was out of his control. He was brainwashed. Even if Ultear only altered his personality and left him to his own devices, which seems most likely given his guilt trips, that's basically creating someone different with his memories and body to do her dirty work. The Jellal who's currently running around isn't the same person for ToH at all. As for forgiving Ultear, she genuinely regretted her actions, likely explained her motives, tried to right his life as best she could, and he had seven years to build a bridge and get over it. He's a fugitive, so his options for allies are limited. Why not work with her?
Also, once you get older an age difference isn't as big of a deal.

However, I think Jellal does agree with you about not deserving Erza. He did make up that fiancee thing. I'm not sure if Erza's line meant that she was accepting that he didn't want to go any further with her or if it meant she knew that he liked her as much as she liked him. It worries me...

Let's see if I can have this make sense, I liked Gerard the villain as a character. That Gerard and Erza actually seemed like the had a strong relationship. Even though it was an antagonist/protagonist relationship. I wouldn't have a probably with Erza x Gerard if somehow he had integrated himself in with Fairy Tail somehow. Sort of like what Gazelle did. What happened instead was that he was presumed dead, and then suddenly pops up in the middle of an arc with no memory and then tried atone for stuff he doesn't even remember. Also, Gerard has only had like a handful of interactions with her over the course of 15 years. I just don't see a strong feasible relationship between the two.

You don't have to know someone all your life to love that somebody, it can only take a couple of seconds actually. Life, full of wonders and it's not like those spare moments haven't been some heavy emotional ones.

I'm not one to bash a pairing no matter if its a crack pairing but Lucy with Sting just brings up a big feeling of disgust. Not to mention any FT member with ST members in general with recent chapters.

No offense meant to anyone who ships those pairings but count me far out from them.
