Mira and Laxus makes the most sense. Lisanna is more like a kid sister to Laxus.

They probably would get together at some point, but that's just speculation. Hiro obviously loves to troll but he does like to draw them together or signs of the together outside the manga. I think he favors this one the most out of all the Laxus pairings. It was the one most heavily prompted in the manga ending as well while the others were just added for the punchline.

Cana's OTP is beer. Don't see her with someone like Laxus.

Woah, I'm surprisingly in awe how people accept the name of this Nalu kid as Nashi, Nancy or whatever. Yay, let's mix the names of both parents, nobody will not see a thing, should they not think of a name like Iris Dragneel

Would Simon want Erza to hate Jellal? No, he should want her to live her life free of hatred. Erza was a friend of Simon who forgave Jellal even Kaugra forgives him. This is fiction, not real life. Even superheroes have killed people and our favourite anime characters. Jellal after TOH, even when he saved Erza wasn't a "bad person". He did bad things in the past but that doesn't mean he is bad in the present. That's one of the themes in FT (forgiveness and villains being misunderstood) and the main characters understand that because they have all done bad things but they aren't bad people. Jellal is an antihero who is trying to pay for his bad past. If people keep thinking black and white in fiction without proper analysis, the message will get lost and it wouldn't be enjoyable.[/b]
Like i said, the fact that Jellal is getting away with "bad things" doesnt bother me, Superheroes being killers doesnt bother me, and Jellal killing some random chump wouldnt bother me either. What bothers me is that after Jellal kills a dear friend of Erza's, she after only a very brief scolding when they meet again in the OS arc, forgets it ever happened, thats not what a friend does. And maybe you're right, maybe Simon wouldnt want Erza to be filled with hate, but i doubt he'd want Erza to forget what was done to him and im certain that no sane man would want their friend to fall in love with the man who killed him.

Im aware that forgiveness is a big deal for Fairy Tail, and im fine with that, but i draw the line at murder.
The fact that Jellal is a better man now should also count for nothing, he still commited crimes in the past and he still stole Simon's life from him, this shouldnt be forgotten just because he's turned over a new leaf(or lost his memories). He can pay Simon back sure, by sacrificing something equal to what he has stolen, his own life. Devoting his remaining life to helping people might also be acceptable i suppose, as long as he remains as miserable as possible while doing it. And im not talking "guilt" miserable or any of that nonsense, i mean physically miserable. Living in the streets, eating garbage, etc as long as he never attempts to find any sort of happiness for himself. If he does that til hes an old man then in my eyes that'd be fair payment to Simon, who had all possibility of future happiness robbed from him. Of course with that being said i wouldnt care if he decided that he couldnt be stuffed and lived life however he likes, as long as he no longer pretends that he is a good person.

I think the only one actually and truly feeling bad, or caring, about the crimes Jellal commited is Jellal himself (hence the crime sociere thing, trying to avoid Erza situation etc.). He seems to punish himself a lot, which does show that he regrets his past. The fact that he acts like that makes him one of the more realistic characters (as far as realism goes in this series). That obviously doesn't make the crimes he commited go away, or redeems them fully.
The rest of the main characters, do not even seem to care that much about what he has done. Yes, Erza partially. But hey, love is a strange thing. Can make people incredibly blind, it can make people forget or ignore awful things. Or my favourite: "I understand why he/she acts this way".

Regarding Simon, I think if he got the chance, he actually would sacrifice himself as an attempt to redemption. Though that is not in the nature of the series at all + that would create a very sad situation too. Could possibly mess with Erza's tragic life even more. She'd cope, but I doubt she'll ever get truly over it. As Jellal hasn't really got the chance to sacrifice himself, he tries to help the world in his own way. it's the least he can do after all. He knows that.

Arguably, killing Simon is most likely not his worst crime. Just the saddest one we've seen.

Robbing all happiness would be not needed... if you think about it Jellal will never be at peace. He will never stop trying to repay for the things he has done. It's not in the nature to torture of the series to torture a character even more - by adding physical miserable things as mentioned above (+ being physically miserable might limit the attempts to redeem himself too... Not worth it, how I see it)
He pushes Erza away, it's obvious that he doesn't think he deserves happiness for a very long time. Again, punishing himself.
I personally believe that mental agony is already enough, especially seeing he is truly trying to make the world a better place right now. His past keeps haunting him though. It drives him. I don't believe he'll ever be truly, 100% happy in the first place. Yes, obviously, with his future family, helping others, friends that helps. Doesn't make it go away.
If you think about it, people like that, creating a better world due to their own mistakes, are needed in every world. Murder obviously isn't a simple mistake. I do believe, that if someone truly regrets something and wants to work to make things better, why not? Here too, murderers do return to society. Yes, they obviously aren't all sorry for their crimes, but if they are, I wouldn't mind them returning and trying to make up for their wrong doings.

Erza suits him. They have experienced a lot of awful things together, so if there is anyone that would understand him. It would be her. Other way around too: Who would understand what she has gone through? (And they both have their justice thing going on right now. That's nice).

If you have think about it, Jellal is probably not the only one that killed someone and still lives by the end of the story. Even though it's not literally stated, i believe (correct me if I'm wrong) that even Natsu "wiped out" people. In my opinion that didn't imply them being knocked out, but dead.

Ah, but this is just personal opinion. I see why others might look at it differently, and that's totally fine.

Simon did state Jellal is Erza’s weakness because she loves him. The moment he saved her I believe is the moment she forgave him. She wore armour to hide her feelings because she knew Jellal wasn’t a good person. After TOH she stopped using armour as a security blanket, which shows she can trust him as well as her feelings for him. In GMG she doesn’t wear armour around him. When he saved her life she saw the pre-possessed version of his true self in him and thus forgave him for killing Simon. Keep in mind, he was a kind person before possession and Erza knew that wasn’t his true self.

So what about Simon then? Jellal saves Erza's own life and suddenly the fact that he killed Simon doesnt matter anymore? Simon's life doesnt matter as long as she gets to live on? Jellal being her weakness is all well and good, and i wouldnt mind if she forgave Jellal for hurting or killing herself. But Erza doesnt have the right to forgive Jellal for killing Simon, she has the right to forgive Jellal for taking Simon away from her, but only Simon has that right to forgive Jellal for taking away his life and all the potential happiness he couldve experienced in that life. And to my mind at least, if Erza was a good friend she wouldnt get all chummy with the guy who did something so terrible to her friend, despite past feelings
I mean sure, in the OS arc he lost all his memories and seemed to be back to his old self, but not remembering killing Simon shouldnt be enough for Erza to fcking fall in love with him all over again, its almost as though Erza had lost her memories too and forgotten all about poor old Simon.
And do you remember that scene at the end where Jellal gets taken by the council? I sure as hell do. No scene in Fairy Tail has ever made me so disgusted. Its like justice for Simon means nothing.

I agree with almost all of your post here.
Despite how my posts are sounding, with me calling Jellal a piece of shit and all, i'm not really pissed at Jellal, what im pissed at is how people treat him. Jellal is doing the right thing, even after being freed by Hisui at the end of the manga, he still hasnt even visited Erza for the past year, thats good, if he can keep that up for the rest of his life i'll respect him for it.
As for Jellal never being at peace... thats where i disagree. Fair enough on him not living in the streets since it'd interfere with his saving people, but simply "never being at peace" is nothing compared to Simon who is dead. And if Jellal isnt liviing in the streets so he can stay in top form, then at the very least he should avoid anything that makes him happy, this of course includes the woman that "suits" him. He doesnt deserve to be with someone who understands him, and from what the manga has shown, he isnt going to attempt to enter into a relationship with her, which is good of him.

I haven't seen anyone as passionate about such a random character that was obviously going to get killed off :s I guess we can never see eye to eye because Jellal wasn't his true self when he killed Simon and tbh Simon was kinda boring and was literally canon fodder.

Ha, well Simon's death is easily in my top 3 most emotional moments in Fairy Tail, but its mostly the principle "dont forget your friends" and Erza's shirking of it that really gets my blood boiling. I know forgiveness is a big thing in Fairy Tail, but friendship is an even bigger thing and Erza betraying Simon and forgetting all about him after he saved her life feels wrong to me. So yeah, we'll prob never see eye to eye, we just see things differently.

Sorry, but you are wrong in this.

Never he says that Jellal does not visit to Erza, I repeat -never.

Rather it is on the contrary.

It puts that the relation between Erza & Jellal always to had difficulties for obvious motives -the sin of Jellal-

And he obtains the pardon doing that Erza besides happy becomes pretty when before it never had any interest in it.

Curiously Erza it becomes pretty only after the pardon,
When she after the war with all her alive friends and the world in peace she did not do anything of it before

You must remember the scenes where ichiya says to Jellal
-You must a duty to do happy and to protect with his life to someone-
Focusing clearly to Erza

And you must remember the images of twitter where Erza & Jellal are very very joined as couple.

Images of twitter are only images, true, but only there are images of Erza and Jellal together, and in never it goes out jellal moving away of her or something for the style.

True, but its implied. We know that ever since word of Jellal's freedom reached them Erza has been brushing her hair every day, implying that he has yet to visit her. and even if im wrong, they are still at the very least not in a relationship. As for Ichiya's last(not really) words, all he said was to protect Erza, which is reasonable. All we can do is hope Jellal stays strong and keeps up that whole "engaged" facade.

How would that engaged facade be benificial for Erza though?
+ I thought that one was already out of the bag, unless I forgot. Been awhile

It wouldnt.
Erza never believed him in the first place, but played along. Jellal never explicitly said he was lying, which means he can keep pretending so that Erza doesnt make a move on him.

Natsu is all these things to Lucy and Gray's answer was far more non-committal than Natsu's.
Jellal and Erza havent made it anymore than Natsu and Lucy have, Jellal's been free for ages and he doesnt even visit Erza for tea.
Except he didnt say it to any of his other friends, he said it to Lucy. At this point, they're pretty much married. Natsu's like Goku, he's too much of an idiot to understand his own feelings, let alone express them, but they're obviously there.
Gray's answer was pretty committal and far more romantic, even if misogynistic, than Natsu's statement. And it was barely romantic in the first place anyway, actually. Natsu still hasn't shown a sign of romantic interest, and it's kind of weird that despite Lucy being so huggy with Natsu, she thinks she'll never be a bride. Wouldn't Natsu still accept her regardless?

Er, Jellal and Erza won the competition. They definitely made it, and it makes no sense to me how or why they'd beat Natsu and Lucy.

Yes, but he's also gone out of his way and even risked his own life for his friends and said or implied he wants to fight by their side forever as well. They're nowhere even remotely close to "pretty much married," not when the relationship is one-sided. You can say Natsu's an idiot and doesn't understand his own feelings or that he doesn't like to admit this sort of thing, but even then there should have been any sort of implication or indication that he is romantically interested in Lucy. There's been none, none that stand out anyway. Tons of things he's done for Lucy, he'd do for anyone else, and he has.

You here the "now i'll never be a bride" line in tons of manga, and its usually said by the heroine to the hero. But yes, Natsu would 100% accept her regardless, as would pretty much any man anywhere. You ever seen a character turn down a woman just because another man's seen her privates? Its just a jap cliche.
Er, Jellal and Erza won the competition. They definitely made it, and it makes no sense to me how or why they'd beat Natsu and Lucy.
So? That means people like them, doesnt mean their legit. They havent made it, Jellal's been free for a year and they're still not together, Nalu is infinitely closer to becoming a full fledge ship.

Not nearly as much as he has for Lucy, its clear that she is the most important person in his life(aside from maybe Happy).
Natsu wanted to check Lucy out in the showers, and groped her intentionally, shows there's sexual attraction at least. But that aside, Natsu's emotions dont matter, Lucy pretty obviously loves him so they're eventually gonna get married. Or what, did you think Natsu was gonna turn Lucy down lol? The only question is how long it takes for Lucy to sack up and confess to Natsu, once she has its a done deal. I'd say they're definitely getting married before Gruvia or Jerza.

How is your “body is mine” more romantic? No one owns anyone in a relationship. It implies he sees her as being exclusive but that doesn’t mean romance but lust. “We’ll be together” forever implies till death do us part, which someone already mentioned, and is showing romantic love.

I think Mashima should have used another line for Gray because it sounds off, even for him. Maybe the anime translation is better.

The official translation is: “your body...is something I care about...because you’re mine...kinda”. He was referring to her not just the body and the moment was meant to be a affirmation of canon.

A demisexual is a person who does not experience sexual attraction unless they form a strong emotional connection with someone. It's more commonly seen in but by no means confined to romantic relationships. The term demisexualcomes from the orientation being "halfway between" sexual and asexual.

I have always been a promoter of Natsu and Lucy both being demisexual. With Lucy leaning more towards the romantic and sexual side while Natsu leans toward the asexual way. The thing about Demi-sexuals is friendship is really important and you cannot feel a strong sexual attraction without it (you might passingly see something/be aware of something as rousing but pass it by because you aren’t interested). These are extreme high maintenance types XD.
This is off topic so I moved this @Cat Sidhe26 @Gabo I forget the other one.

I agree on this one. Lucy had a “perfect boyfriends” list but is a modern independent single woman aka a Carrie. Natsu seems interested in both but he isn’t like Luffy, who I would say is asexual and aromantic.

It's a little strange that people would think that natsu is asexual, being that he has shown interest in girls, in the anime, ovas, manga omakes, in the movie ... it can be bi, demisexual, but he's not asexual

The dynamics between natsu and lucy have always been more than friends, the way he treats lucy is different from that of others.
In the second movie, when natsu is having those flashbacks, lucy's is the last one, it's different and more special than the others

The director of the first film thinks that natsu and lucy's relationship goes beyond friendship
Interview and this

Yeah I’m going with with Jinx said and say that Natsu is demisexual that leans towards the asexual side. Also even though that’s what the director of the first movie said it’s Mashima who has the say in what Natsu and Lucy’s relationship really is.

Oh yeah that list Lucy had in chapter 2 and from what I remember Jellal and Loke were on Lucy’s prefect boyfriend list.
