So here it is... Lolu.

I never really supported this ship until the Loke Arc (mainly cuz I hate players). Between that arc and fighting festival, I was in love with the idea of this ship. A player that turns from his ways to become husband material. It's the cliché reasons girls always go for the bad boy types.

In the beginning every instant of Loke's interaction with Lucy had been something he would do to any other girl. And to be honest I felt it to be a bit creepy. Loke started out flirting with Lucy until he realized she was a celestial mage. Then he tried to avoid her cuz I guess he was fearful a CS mage would figure out he was a celestial spirit.

She never really seemed ok with the constant harassment, but then Loke was dying from what happened with his previous Master and Lucy as being Fairy Tail's resident celestial spirit expert was going to save him. You couldn't help see the potential.

As a token of appreciation for having find her keys earlier with the Phantom Lord incident, and for rescuing her as well, Loke and Lucy go to a local bar. Lucy then tries to find out why he doesn't like Celestial Spirit Mages, but he refuses to answer. Before Lucy ready to leave, Loke suddenly grabs Lucy's hand, embraces her tightly, and says he doesn't have much time left, much to Lucy’s surprise. Not wanting to get her involved, he quickly passes this off as a joke and then receives a slap from Lucy. (Which is really funny because the omake Watch out for the guy you like came out around this time period where Lucy slapped Natsu so guess there was a two for one Black Friday sale on slapping all guys in the guild XD)

Later at the guild, Lucy is still upset from the events of the previous night. Loke's 'girlfriends' arrive saying that he suddenly broke up with them. This surprises Lucy and she tries to find out the reason behind Lokes awkward behaviour. Gray then appears and informs Lucy that Loke has left Fairy Tail, and is nowhere to be found. Lucy then realized the truth and springs into action, as she knows where Loke is.

She quickly heads to Karen's grave, where he confesses that he is actually Leo the Lion, a fact that Lucy already seemed to know. Loke claims to have killed Karen, his former summoner, and as a punishment he was banished to the human realm. Lucy tries to help him, but Loke says that his state cant be changed. She tries to open his gate, but the Celestial Spirit King arrives instead. Lucy then pleads to the Celestial Spirit King to spare Loke's life and even endangered her life by summoning all of her Celestial Spirits at once. Touched by her resilience to protect her nakama, the Celestial Spirit King decides that Loke will be given a different punishment instead. Rather than dying, Loke should dedicate his life to serve Lucy as her guardian. His key then materializes, and Lucy officially becomes his new master, with Loke thanking her.

I felt that Loke being a celestial spirit would kill Lolu and in a roundabout way it eventually did, but that didn't stop them from getting a couple of moments during fighting festival during Lucy and Loke vs Bixslow.

Coming out like a boss to rescue his Master.

Their team work was exceptional in this fight.

And then he ended with this.

But Lucy never seemed really impressed with his flirting attempts.

After FF, Loke got development with Aries and Karen during the Angel fight, but Mashima sadly started negating him to more comic relief as shown in Edolas when he tried flirting with Lucy Ashley and Lucy Heartfilia. Or just using him in straight battle.

The ship's last quality moment happened on Tenrou when Caprico/Zoledo showed up to attack Gray, Lucy, Loke, and Cana. Realizing that Human subordination magic weakened the humans in the general area, Loke sent the others off while he faced Caprico alone.

And after that every moment they get is filler....

...cuz Mashima apparently forgets Loke. So that leaves the anime to fill in the gaps with ship teases. And that's what finally nailed this ship into the ground for me as it lost that specialness it had in the early series.

The last time we see him is in the Jacob battle.

(not the best battle for Loke to be called in as he's a pervert too).

Throughout the series, we see Loke flirting with other girls and even flirting with underage girls.

So he never really stopped his player ways.

A lot of fans ship him with Aries for him protecting her when Karen tried to use her to entertain men at Blue Pegasus. And for their fight in OS before Angel shot both of them.

My main ship with Loke is this Michello's granddaughter. As he was mentioned fooling around with a councilman's granddaughter in chapter 2 and then in Tartaros (eight years later), he appears knowing the whereabouts of Michello because apparently he's still fooling around with the same girl. (It must be nice not to get any of these girls pregnant, eh Loke?)

I like this ship but I don't see a long term relationship. Nalu is more old married couple that will still hold hands in their later years and take care of the grandkids. Plus, he is a spirit and Lucy wouldn't do a relationship with one. That aside, she could prevent him from flirting with other girls and help him with his problems. Maybe in a parallel world where Natsu isn't there and he wasn't a spirit then it would work. Although, this is a great fanfic ship... which prob have some steamy ones.

Nice post jinx but still a non existent ship, Loke is a player and Lucy treats him as a friend only, And as one of her celestial spirit she obviously cares for him as good as the rest of her celestial spirits however it still better than graylu. At least they had moments like when she went against the CSK. It doesn't deserve this ranking but because the votes were controlled by bunch of ppl who made a conspiracy against Nalu they come up this high. Meh

I agree with you. I understand perfectly what you mean and i have the same mindset.
I don't have anything against Loki, but his behaviour made it impossible for me to picture him with Lucy (or any other girl) in a serious relationship. Too much of a flirter. Hence i never shipped these two.
After Lucy saved him and he became her spirit though, their relationship grew a lot afterwards and they became really close. So despite not seeing and not wanting any romance between them, i gave that pairing a decent score.

I can’t believe such a little known ship could make it so far, especially above the leagues of NaLu!!! I swear, this rate must be rigged.

Oh, look at me giving this a 10. I’ve always find this couple kind of essential, not because they’re two damn amazing demons but because they’re both female. Now you may think “but what about the other gay couple Fraxus?”. Well, Freed is obviously attracted to men, but that relationship is completely onesided. This one on the other hand...

Throughout the series Seilah has shown great respect, appreciation and fascination for Kyôka. Even though they didn’t actually visibly ‘make love’ in the series, there were some heavy indications that they did got intime off-screen.

Now let’s finish with Jko: “They were hot, cute, genuine, and actually developed. They were a lesbian couple done right tbh. Didn't need to over announce it but just showed it like a regular relationship.” Tell ‘em!

As i said i'm not a NaLu fan i much prefer Jerza or Gajevy for instance, but i'm surprised people are still saying that there's no romance between Natsu and Lucy.
The friendzone moment from Natsu at the end only proved how much of a dummy Natsu is, and how he's oblivious when it comes to love. But you're blinding yourself if you think Natsu likes Lucy only as a friend.
And Lucy's romantic feelings for Natsu are painfully obvious.
I understand the hate and how Natsu's behaviour can be annoying (it annoyed me, as much as it made me laugh). But it is no different than Gruvia, with Gray not revealing his feelings for the majority of the manga. Gotta read between the lines.

In any case, NaLu didn't deserve 1's imo, nor did it deserve such a bad place. As already said, freaking GrayLu and LoLu are still in this. Let's assume you guys are right and there's no romance between Natsu and Lucy, how is there romance between her and Gray? And Natsu and Lucy share a stronger bond than Lucy and Gray.

It's whatever though. I'm scared for the rest of the ranking, now that i know how fucked up it can be.
I want Gajevy first

I'm not a diehard Natsu-Lucy fan, but even as a fan I can still accept the truth. There really is little to no romance, and a lot of fan service/romantic moments seem to be due to force. Lucy has romantic feelings, that much we can assume, but Natsu has shown absolutely nothing of such. I've been in plenty of arguments over this, and there has been no concrete proof of Natsu liking Lucy as anything more than a friend. Quite dumb to call it hate when there is none, and I'm just stating what the manga shows.

Well, Gray didn't really have feelings for Juvia until waaaay later, so it kind of is different. But he at least warmed up to her, was protective of her, and promised to tell her his answer while showing that he did like her, if not love her.

I agree on that. I'm not saying which is better, but it makes no sense that Jellal and Erza made it, but Natsu and Lucy didn't. Gray and Lucy kind of make sense, given they seem to be natural like Natsu and Lucy used to be, and that given there's no romantic future between them, it makes their interactions even better, if that makes sense. We're not assuming though, we know there's no romance between the two, not until Natsu returns the affection in a romantic way.

Yay, Gajeel and Levy! One of the best shipping in the manga! Not as annoying as Gray and Juvia was and didn't become annoying as Natsu and Lucy did, and no one-sided BS. And you can even see how they influenced change in each other.

When did I say romance? I said they are the most developed relationship in the manga. Their relationship as whole (not just one aspect) is clearly the most developed. There's no denying that.

Also if you think they're lacking romance you can watch Dragon Cry or look at their more deeper moments in the manga. Their relationship had blatant romantic undertones.

Their relationship being the most developed is pretty debatable, especially when you have other relationships that are developed well.

Where? There's rarely been any romantic undertones, and I've been trying to look for it to support Natsu-Lucy shipping. Their deeper moments lack anything deeper than friendship, especially because of Natsu.

How is it a marriage proposal? One would say that to a fiend as well, especially if the person saw a friend as a sibling. That is in no way a marriage proposal, but Natsu seeing Lucy as an important and close friend that he wants by his side. Not necessarily romantic.

Still a far better ship than graylu and lolu. Care to explain when was the last time when lucy had any good conversation with gray and loke, let alone any romantic moment. Lolu may be over back in loke arc or in festival of FT arc but once aries came into the pitcher it was over. Nalu may not be totally romantically developed but only a mentally retarded person will rank graylu over nalu which has happened in this case. Well I just hope gruvia is ranked higher than it coz it is very well developed.

She had good conversation with Gray while Natsu was knocked out or fighting Zeref. I forgot which. And Loke and Lucy did have good conversations as well, but that was long ago, and the romantic moments might have been iffy. Especially since even if Loke did love Lucy, he was still a playboy. But why are you pointing these out to me? When have I ever mentioned those in this thread?

Yes, Gray and Juvia are more easily better developed than Natsu-Lucy, at least when it comes to romance.

By that logic Gruvia are only fuck buddies. Gray said her body is his, meaning he only sees her as a piece of ass. He never said he loved Juvia.

Well, he's shown romantic inclination towards her, which is more than what anyone can say for Natsu.

Evidence? If you're talking hard facts then no, but its not like Gruvia or Jerza have any hard facts either, very few ships in this rating do.
Gray's answer was far less romantic than Natsu's was, a sexual implication hardly makes it a better confession. Poor Juvia, i expected much better from him
The difference between Carla and Natsu is that Carla is a cat, Natsu is a human.

Anyway, Natsu's emotions dont matter.... at all, Lucy clearly loves him and that means at some point they are getting married. People are too hung up on "both sides need to have feelings" one side is enough, Natsu isnt Gray, hes not turning Lucy down.
Like i said before, the dudes the same as Goku, meaning he's an idiot who cant understand something complicated like love. Its not a question of if Natsu and Lucy get married, they will, 100%. Its a question of how long it takes Lucy to grow some balls and drag Natsu to the altar like Chichi did to Goku. Not the same manga i know, but its the same situation, i'd wager Lucy's balls will drop before Gray's will, Nalu are prob getting married first.
