Well even Gildarts who is never at base asked about it straight away so its pretty much canon he got feelings for her.
Sadly she is dead tho her death is surounded by mystery, i wonder if she is realy dead or did something like with Ul happen to her as well. There isnt even a sign of how she died only that she was able to calm down her brother who couldnt controle his transform-magic.

of course she could look much worse just off panel, but Elfman's fighting style tends more towards crushing damage than clawing damage.

^ Actually....Here Now, how does that grab you? I think Mashima is starting to get serious about this couple. The hints are starting to get pretty obvious. Now, the only problem is if he can come to terms about Lisanna.

Im not saying it shouldnt be but with other series *specials* are disgarded sometimes. O well what am i saying.
Its a great sidestory, maybe the anime will put it in were Lucy is atm (something of a flashback) Good idea?

The tree blossoms that realy is a nice + funny romantic gesture of Natsu lol.

Hmm this thread is (NatsuxLucy) not (Natsu and Lucy are best friends) so i recon a 1liner like that wont do in this thread ^^.
There is enough suport for NatsuxLucy but its also possible that they are just friends. But realy you need to do more then just "claim" that.

Finaly someone with a theoretical idea :P. Well maybe you could explain why they would end up together?
The things i can think off

-Lucy fills in the place Lisanna left open.
-Natsu came to her rescue
-Nastu always in her room
-In the last Omake it was all NatsuxLucy centered.

As anti elements

-Natsu might still feel for Lisanna
-Natsu might see her as a comrad
-Natsu also rescued Erza in a similar matter

I must say most interactions in general are Natsu centered. Well thats about it from me ^^

Well, there's 4 factors that you stated was Pro-NatsuxLucy compared to the anti-elements that only have 3. So I'd say chances are pretty big for them to end up together.

I think I've said enough when I said that they are best friend don't cha think? Beside I didn't say that they are just best friend but they are the best of friends. How many best friends have we all know that have ended up together or even married? There you go...it all started with being as simple as bf.

Well it's not like Natsu is completely clueless when it comes to women.I mean hear in this page he and Gray are blushing when they checked the bathroom to see where Lucy is.

Seeing that the meeting of Natsu and Lucy is like the meeting of Haru and Ellie,I tend to think that Mashima is going to build their relationship slowly like in Rave.

Was natsu ever interested in lisana that way? Surely lisana liked natsu but you have to remember we are indeed talking about natsu. somehow he does not strike me as of being in love with lisana and do "in love" stuff with her.

Uncertain given how little has been shown of them in the manga. It's clear he cared for her deeply, but whether he cared for her romantically or not is a matter of speculation.

For me:
Lucy isn't interest in natsu. Her feeling to him ale same as 1 chapter. She see him more like comrad powerfull one and dummy one.

Natsu don't really look for Girl, and i don;t think he look for one. Now he want to be strong and find dragon. Lisarna was actually one who made first step.
