Natsu x Lisanna.Everyone of the guild members knows about the relationship of the two and what if Lisanna gets hurt(not physically) if she finds out that Natsu and Lucy have some kind of love relationship?How would Elfman and Mirajane react to that?

I think personally hope... like Eiichiro oda ... hiro mashima will keep romance out of the fairy tail manga ... At least between guild members .. (oda has stated he doesn't want any romance between strawhat crew members.) .. I personally think it would mess up the dynamic ... I mean thier not just a guild .. they are a family ... and most people don't date thier family.
But more importantly .. it would dramatically change the overall point of the manga ... IF they HAVE to do that ... I hope hiro at least waits until the Very very end of the manga ..
I mean i hate to say it .. but the whole .. erza / gerard dynamic / sexual tension .. really screwed up the whole dynamic of the FT manga for me .. If natsu and lucy started acting all serious and lovey dovey around each other .. it would really botch things up in my opinion ..
And i'm against lisana and natsu simply because ... I don't want the group dynamic broken up ..

But if in the end .. lisana and natsu were together .. I'd have less complaints ..
Even though .. other people have compared natsu's and lucy's relationship to being like that of Natsu and lisana's ... so i might have doubts that natsu and lisana were ever in that kind of relationship at all in the first place ..

I don't think he has that problem, Gray/Lluvia, the cowboy ones, Erza/Gerard as far as we know.

If Erza becomes Gerard's lover then I think I'll quit reading and watching fairy tail before its upcoming doom's day. Oh well, just minus one reader, no problem with mashima I guess

Natsu X Erza. Up until gerard arc it seemed as though it was lucy and natsu but after that it kinda changed in my opinion. Lisanna is an interesting mix in this, no idea how she is gonna mix in that little crew (natsu, grey, erza, lucy, happy, wendy, charlie, maybe juvia and gajeel, pantherlily) since it seemed as though lucy was playing the part similar to that of lisanna up until this point.

Had she not dissappered in early in the manga it would've definitely been Natsu X Lisanna. But at this point there is question mark on that.

Lucy will probably end up with loki.

But if at some point gerard come into the story and joins up with FT then there is every chance its Erza X Gerard and Natsu X Lisanna.

Sorry, but I simply refuse to accept the fact that Lisanna is back... or that she's the real one. That's totally out of... everything. I like her and always liked her, she played a great role in Natsu's developing, and maybe somewhere in the back of my mind I counted on her return, but not in that manner. So I'll go with Natsu x Lucy. Lucy is the kind of character I really dislike, but there's something attracting about her. Also, I believe there's something important going to happen soon for the three of them to help realize their places and where are they standing right now (assuming that Lisanna is well... Lisanna, not some kind of a super galactic spy). As for Natsu x Erza... Dunno really about it. Maybe we haven't seen the last of Gerard, who knows.

Yeah but grey and lluvia is a unrequited love thing which is more for comedic effect .. the cowboys are so non-central character that it doesn't matter ... and erza / gerard was a tragic romance .. like i said .. i'm just against it for the MAIN cast .. I wouldn't have had a real problem with erza and gerard ,... except it would've made no sense after everything he had done .. and it would've greatly diminished erza's overall appeal ...

Honestly the more vulnerable and timid erza becomes in whatever storyline .. The less I like her .. which is the opposite of my normal reactions ... I like erza early on ... a hard ass .. strong as hell .. woman who gives out the beatings when and where they are needed ... Sorry to rant ^_^ But i'd just like to see her being erza more .. and less a damsel in distress .. I mean she is a S class wizard .. so I don't think her butt should need saving .. even from natsu.

I still believe Mashima will pairs FT characters up like he did in RAVE. He will drop hints. For example when Virgo gives matching clothes for Lucy and Natsu (Nirvana arc) do you guys see it as a comedic relief or just a small harmless hint? also so far all the omake mostly about Natsu and Lucy, why Mashima go as far to do that.

Chapter 200 we can see another hint, Lucy thoughts about Natsu's feeling of wanting to find Igneel, although end up getting a punch from Natsu.

I wouldn't be surprised if Lucy starts to develop some feelings for Natsu somewhere down the line. But, being as dense as a brick when it comes to things like that, Natsu won't realize it haha.

I agree, hints everywhere. I just don't think they will end up together anytime soon. Cause when they do, the manga will end. And we don't want that. They are better off being partners so it will last longer .

P.S. I'm putting my money on Lucy. Those 2 are the main male and female protagonist.

I prefer Natsu x Lisanna. Great couple. But it is more natural that Natsu will end up with the noisy one.

To me romance in shonen is a really important part of character's developing. Of course, it's doesn't play the main role and doesn't define the plot like in shoujos, but it makes the characters more believable and human-like... That's at least how I feel about it.
Since we're yet to see any new interaction between Natsu and Lisanna, we can't really tell about the change in their feelings. I wouldn't really count the glomp in 199 (or was it 200?). Just a little more time and we see exactly where are they standing right now.
Maybe this new arc will be some kind of a trigger that'll help them all realize their feelings? I hope so, even if not in the direction I'd like it to go (right now I'm Natsu x Lucy shipper).

It's nothing specific about FT ... but honestly I don't think every anime needs a romantic tie in .. in fact sometimes it's a downright detriment ... I've had tons of anime/manga that got derailed from me enjoying them .. when they tried to introduce romance .. (ex. Code Gease)
While it works in others (Ex. Mahoraba .. Psyren Or Ah my goddess) with flourish.
Now i will say it was well done in Rave. But i don't really find it necessary in FT ...


I have this same issue in american cinema ... there seems to ALWAYS be a romantic subplot ... Did "I am Sam" really need one?

i think it'll end with natsu and lucy.

i don't have anything against lisanna (geez why are natsu x lisanna fans so HARSH...) but with natsu and lucy it's always like "what the HECK are you doing??? i don't get you at all!" in the little things but when it get's tough they are on the same wavelength without missing a heartbeat. they understand each other wordlessly. it's dynamic and natsu just accepted her from the beginning when everyone thought "what are you seeing in her?". i don't believe that she was just a lisanna-replacement. natsu's not the guy for that.

AND they are main male and main female. in rave it worked pretty well. why change that concept? just spice it up with a little love-triangle that came much too late in rave.

I really want to see more Erza/Natsu though,

Fairy Tail is one of those rare manga's where everyone gets ship teased with everyone.
