As we leave the daycare we approach a police officer that fights us with his single Pokemon, a Growlithe. It hits hard but Dennise can manage it, she's a tough vamp... or so I thought. The next attack is a critical hit, that sends Dennise into the graveyard. NOOOO she was going to carry us ;-;
Hermie steps in, wanting to avenge his friend... and gets immediately burnt. Is this random Growlithe the end? Hermie fights bravely despite the burnt, and powered by his anger he manages to leave the bastard Growlithe open for his famous Coup de Grace.

The size of the city overwhelms me and after this fuck up I just check a guide. An NPC gives you a Machop for a Drowzee, which I have. I normally wouldn't even think of this as I cannot use Machop, but he comes with a Macho Brace which could be extremely useful when grinding... but then I'll lose Sam the Fat Cunt...

I move to the next Route and foolishly grab Kenya the Spearow for the Mail quest, so now I'm carrying around a Pokemon I cannot use. Perfect. My encounter is a Drowzee which I reroll into a... Lv.12 Fem Nidoran. Not bad? Not bad at all... I catch her on a Premier ball (yeeeeeee) and name her Niderin. After this I go back to the city, grab the bike, unlock the gym and go straight in.
Newest member Niderin does Flamenco dances all over the beauties in the gym and low kicks all their pokes, evolving in the process. Only MONSTER WHITNEY is left. Her Clefairy mimics Farf's Stun Powder AND metronomes and electrical attack that almost kills her. While we still get the upper hand and win full hp, Farf remains paralysed. Here comes Miltank...
I forgot Rollout is a rock move so it very quickly puts Farf in danger. I switch to Hermie in desperation and his HP goes under 50% in a single hit (WHY DOES THIS WORK ON GHOSTS!?. I then switch to Dudette that is almost ten levels lower... and she actually tanks some hits!? I was quite impressed, this allowed me to heal everyone and switch the momentum. Before she died I switched to Niderin, who gets us the win in a battle of attrition despite Whitney using 2 super potions. NICE!

- Continued from Cycling Road after the loss of bob and got through unscathed with one close call for Milly
- Laid bob to rest in the Heaven box
- Got the fossil revived and put the Shieldon in the PC box
- Take Linali with us, cut the trees and go through route 206 on our way to wayward cave.
- Route 206 encounter is Kricketune and it comes along willingly
- Wayward cave encounter is Gible! Was a proper prick to catch but after a long 15 minutes it got in the ball and stayed there.
- Everything goes smoothly through Mt. Coronet (used repels for no encounter), and the route towards Hearthome (caught Ralts)
- Received Eevee in Hearthome
- Did some grinding and vs seeker battles
- Fantina's gym time
- Ustegius (Luxio) dies to a gym trainer's haunter from a crit shadow ball
- Gyaraods goes on a revenge run for Ust vs Fantina and OHKO's Duskull, Haunter, and Mismagius with Bite
- Sped through to Solaceon town and did the shit there
- Route 209 went fine
- Route 210 encounter was Lickitung but Hardy went LOL and critted
- Got to Veilstone unscathed
- Decided to grind up on route 214
- Hardy dies to a Goldeen's horn drill (FUCK)
- Go through the routes to Pastoria etc. for easy flyability post-Vielstone gym, get the encounters for some of the routes and get Pikachu at the backlot mansion
- Find Dawn Stone just past Pastoria and evolve Kirlia
- Gallade sweeps the gym ez
- Rival gets dunked on in Pastoria
- Raichu and Gallade double-team the Pastoria Gym

Got repels cause they will come in handy next. I go east, get Strength then repel into the water to try and get a decent encounter on the other side, as grass is only found there. So I go into the water and when I'm almost on the other side I... Get an encounter!? How!?
It's fucking Raikou. I throw a fast ball on the guy for the giggles and it naturally fails. This leaves me with a question: if I chase it all over the game and catch it, is it ok? It's the same pokemon. Or should I catch anything else in that route? I dunno man... Just in case I follow my plan and find a... Lv16 zubat. Reroll into... Lv15 mankey, Mankoko, aight. I Make it to mahogany and heal there.
Also, happy birthday @Evil3ye ,in your honour Hermie will be used the most by far in the next session... Hopefully it won't get him killed.

Yes, since Gen V you can choose the order of the Elite Four. My team was already on like champion level but nonetheless I had four random casualties in Victory road and even more on the last route, all against no-names. The Pokemons' levels are so high that all know the ultimate moves of their type, so death is on every corner.
I will still get the team into mid 60s and try challange it. Probably won't succeed but at least gotta try.

Initially I didn't think I was, because I was being one shot by random trainers while being slightly higher leveled than them. But looking at the Elite Four battles, they really do not live up to their names. Veteran Trisha and Tierno, Blackbelt Ander and Ace Trainer Mireille would probably also totally pwn those four losers.

I picked up Pokemon Sun again and continued on the mono type Ice run I started few years ago, but like naaahhhh. Hau, Lilie, Prof. Sexy and the other squad kept stopping me every. fukin. five. minutes. along the road, I just can't. I have never felt so restricted in movements and annoyed by NPCs. Even XY, with like 15 rivals that stopped me quite often it never felt like your that boxed in. What a horrible gen. I finished the rock main trial on second island, and went to the third cool-music island, but it's just like, I can't...
However, I think I will do an ORAS run, because wanted to play an other Hoenn game before SDBP come out, so think might do that now. I am thinking about a set Pokemon run, won't do a nuzlocke yet, as it was quite time consuming, but I want to do a run, in which I only use Archie's Pokemon.
