Yeah they've really given his character a lot of importance this season, I didn't expect it( not with this particular villain anyway). I hear they're also going to introduce Scarecrow this season; waiting for that one.

So far I've watched Constantine ep 4, it's about Mnemoth. the story is a little bit different than the comics, but overall I'm liking this show.

Still haven't seen the 2nd season beyond the 1st ep which was decent.

The last episodes of the arrow and the flash were awesome. First, let's appeal to the fans with a crossover ... think you got enough ??? Next episode: Reverse Flash for The Flash and Ras Al Ghul for The arrow.

The flash has been a great tv show so far and the arrow is now kicking up a notch as well.

Only Arrow episode I've seen has been the crossover with Flash( 2 episodes ago?), but I watched Flash's mid-season finale and it was so good. I'll copy my post over here from my thread:


As far as Reverse Flash goes, I've read a couple of theories about how who he is and how this whole thing works. One of which states the use of time travel and that Wells may be an older Reverse Flash who has come back from the future to ensure Barry becomes who he is in order to for himself to gain his ability and achieve his future goal. This was similar to my own point of view regarding Wells but now we know there are 2 of each, or 2 and Wells; as like you, I'm not entirely sure he's evil.

Notice how Reverse Flash didn't kill Eddie? a video I watched mentioned that there may be a relation there; if RF is from the future then maybe Eddie could be his grandfather or great.

Then there's the second Flash thing; made me feel so dumb; how did I never think of that?! If RF wanted to hurt his mum, he wouldn't be running in circles around her, and that's because something else was trying to prevent him from getting to her, but it wasn't strong enough.

So goldb, now that Marco Polo is out, what's your decree?

I finished the first season of Marco Polo. It was quite good. Getting an eye on the mongol empire and on marco polo was really interesting. I don't know much about history in Asia but I'm interested. Of course, it's a fiction but it's giving an overview of how life was back then.

I had doubts with the main character but the actor playing Marco is in the end convincing. Best character is by far the chinese chancelor Jia Sidao. He is a good "vilain". I put "vilain" in quotes because it's mainly a matter of perception in that era. He is the most clever dirigeant by quite a large margin, Kubilai and his family really pales in comparison. It's funny because real life Jia Sidao is known to be a complete fool. In the serie, he is smart and ... also likely the best martial art expert in the world (with maybe the exception of the blind master of Marco Polo).

There are bad points though:
- Budget is not the same as a HBO serie and battle scenes are somewhat lacking (when the battle is not entirely bypassed).
- The intimidating Kubilai Kai and all scenes with him are good in the first few episodes but when he is starting to trust Marco and we see more about him, my impression of him changed and he changed too. At the end of the first season, he is a pig who lacks self-control.

By the way, can someone recommend a good show similar to SOA, Breaking Bad, etc.?

I've been really distracted lately but here goes a few words on Marco Polo since I finished it last week.

As zellogan touched on, neither did I have much of a historical grasp on the character, Kublai Khan or just the era for that matter. The story didn't captivate my attention from the get go but that slowly changed and I enjoyed the character dynamics not only between Marco and the others but also the secondary characters themselves. What else I really enjoyed was the strong portrayal of females in this show; they aren't all the helpless maidens we get in some shows but strongminded individuals, some of who are very adept in certain fighting disciplines.

Some of the characters take a while to grow, as you'd expect with any shows that has a huge cast but from the onset Thousand Eyes was my favourite character; you just can't go wrong with a martial arts teacher like that and same is true in the opposite side that I hated the Khan's son from the moment he appeared onscreen; spoilt brat that he is, but beyond his character, I had a real gripe with his performance. The Khan's very scene made him seem like a tyrant but I feel like that as the show progressed, it broke down his character and not necessarily to show layers of his person but I feel there may have been some damage done there for me.

Marco's character was pretty decent, even though the actor is relatively unknown. I'd give the show a 7/10; I wouldn't say it is a must watch but I'd recommend it.

Just finished watching and have to agree that the series picks up towards the end. Jia Sidao's role as the villain (since the series more or less portrays the mongols as the protagonists/anti-heroes) was pretty good. The ending left me craving more :-(
