Last chapter made me think of something. Galan said he has always wanted to defy Meliodas, it's true that Meliodas is weaker now but he had not his ST back then, which means he had another weapon. ST level weapons are considered as the best of the best and Merlin said there's nothing more fitting than Lostvayne for Meliodas.

Does it mean that the Commandments have currently no ST level weapons? :o

I believe that Lostavyne is best suited for human form Melodias but as soon as Melodias goes demon mode Lostavyne wouldn't be so suited for him anymore. I wonder why Melodias chose to go against his family and side with the godess clan who also want him dead.

That could actually work out. Maybe it has to do something with what Merlin stole from him? It sounds like a weapon that could enhance his demonic powers. I have no idea why Merlin took it but let's say it's for the best? Merlin probably felt the need to keep it as a last resort, since she monitors Meliodas like a radar.

And there's this thing with Estarossa, Zeldris and Meliodas. Supposedly they're all siblings. So if Estarossa and Zeldris are regarded as top-tier commandments then Meliodas must be be somewhere between them, maybe. I have a feeling that the three brothers have some connection with the Demon King. Saying they're his sons is kinda too much though. So I'm not sure.

It was once shown that Melodias demon form is a big beast. And seeing how small Lostavyne is I doubt that the sword is compatible with Mel's demon form.
I found a pic of Mel and there he is wielding another weapon.

As far as I know that's from a one-shot that's completely different from the main story line. :o

But yeah, it's possible that Mel would have a completely different weapon that suites his demon form since I sort of doubt Merlin knows about his true demonic form and the extent of his powers.

Maybe it's a weapon given to him by the demon king?

My crackpot theories would be ...what if Meliodas used to be a part of the ten commandments but changed sides after who-knows-what happened in the past? Perhaps that's why they the Goddess Clan sees him as a threat? What if Zeldris replaced him when he ran away since he's the younger brother/next-in-line?

(shrugs) Eh. Not sure.

Why would lostvayne be less adequate? Lostvayne works for meliodas because it has the specific ability to create clones which can use full counter. Unless meliodas really looses fullcounter when using his demon powers there is no reason for the effectiveness of lostvayne to change. Now, if meliodas transforms into a gigantic demon then he probably simply wouldn't be able to use the thing. Unless simply having it or otherwise holding it is enough to make use of the clones.

At least the weapon of the one shot looks more impressive than Lostvayne.
I wonder what destroyed Danfor if it wasn't the ten commandements. I sort of thought Melodias went berserk against the ten commandements in danfor but dafor got destroyed 16 years ago and the demons got selaed 3000 years ago. So Melodias betrayed his brothers even before he met Liz and became a sin. And Mel's wanted poster is from his time of when he was a sin member and his poster looks exactly like Estarossa who no one alive should know how he looks like cause he was in a seal for 3000 years.

The current timeline suggests:
3000 years ago Mel fought his brothers Zeldris and Estarossa and sealed them away with the help of the godess clan and the humans and co.
16 years ago Mel destroys danfor and liz gets killed. Who would have been able to do this?
10 years ago the sins get blamed for a coup d'etat. But beore that Sins vs. Vampires.

Nah, odds are they do have sacred treasure class weapons. What makes the sacred treasures special is not specifically how much power it can draw from someone, we know for a fact that holy knights have weapons comparable to sacred treasures in that regard. What makes sacred treasures special are the inherent abilities they have. What the commandments probably don't have is weapons imbued with unique abilities.

Doesn't it make their weapons inferior? Sins's STs allow them to draw out more power and give them special abilities fitting them, it would mean that the Commandments can only draw out more power.

Meliodas's Lostvayne is his best weapon so he must have fought with a weapon inferior to it when he was with the Commandments, he was using Full Counter back then too.

Oh man... If you are the strongest you dont need something like special abilities. You can just obliterate everything by using pure energy. Meliodas somehow is now closer to being human than demon because his powers are sealed and that is why he needs special abilities.

It's not said that he was the strongest of them though, Galan wanted to challenge him, also Zeldris and Estarossa must rival him. He can't be much stronger than these two at least, even if he recovers his powers. All the Demons have also magics like the other fighters of the series so a weapon enhancing their special abilities would be good.

He is the strongest and probably Demon King. And that is why he can live so long and why goddesses want him to be killed. Read Kongou Banchou. Kongou and Nanatsu are similar in the aspect of power escalation.

I read Kongou Banchou,
though Akira became the strongest, Takeshi was rivaling him.

They didn't say that he was the strongest of the Commandments. He and his two brothers must be close in power.

How can Mel be the demon king if the ten commandements work directly under the demon king? Would the ten commandements go against their own master?
My theory is that Mel,Zeldris and Estarossa are the sons of the demon king and the one of the three who conquers the human world will most likely inherit the kings seat from their father.

My point was that specifically about how much power the sacred treasures can draw, not the abilities they have. The sacred treasures are not special in regards to them allowing the user to draw more power than other weapons. We know for a fact other fighters have weapons comparable to sacred treasures in that regard. Perhaps we can make the case that sacred treasures are more resistant to damage and stress than other weapons though. Dreyfus probably had a sword comparable to a sacred treasure and even then it broke against demon hendrickson. Although even then the amount of power they draw out is the same as high quality weapons available to others. The trick to the sacred treasures is their special abilities more than anything.

I would think he was using a sword which simply enabled him to draw out a lot of power but did not have any special abilities. There aren't that many choices in that regard.

I think that maybe the clan of goddes can return back.
Maybe there will be even the 3 theological virtues that will help the seven deadly sins.(Faith,Hope,Charity),or the 4 cardinals virtues(Justice,Fortress,Temperance,Caution)

now that we've seen the commandments feed on souls... Who is save from them? The only one I could imagine not getting his soul sucked immediately is King, and that is only because he has Helbram, who might sacrifice his own soul.

I think it's less likely for them to take Mel's soul because he is a demon as well. Also gowther is their worst enemy as he doesn't have a soul since he is just a doll. Even Ban might be a bit safe because he is immortal?
As for king, how will Helbram sacrifice his soul when he can't even be seen in the first place? He doesn't seem to exist in this world anymore.

maybe ghosts can touch souls. Helbram might push King's soul back into his body, but get absorbed in the process himself. Gowther not having a soul is arguable. I also dont think Ban's immortality would save him this time. I doubt that getting your soul sucked kills you. You might be able to return to your body if you are freed.

Maybe it's arguable but I doubt gowther does. He's basically a robot or something. He technically isn't a living being so he shouldn't have a soul. I mean, it's not like robots have souls. They are programmed to act and function like humans by mimicking them but they aren't still 'alive' per se, imo anyway.

Well I kinda think immortality is a soul thing not a body thing. If it was a body thing, then fairies wouldn't die (like helbram and Elaine did) as they're bodies as clearly immortal since they don't decay or anything. That said, Ban's immortality is likely his soul or soul and body since he doesn't die unlike fairies. If so, doesn't that mean taking this soul which is immortal isn't possible? When the demons take souls, the body remains. It's basically killing except without destroying the body. Being able to take Ban's soul is kinda killing him which shouldn't happen. That's how it seems to me.

Then there's the issue of Mel being a demon which obviously is a special case and perhaps makes him immune to that.

As for king, I doubt helbram can interfere in such a way. He is an intangible occurrence and one that shouldn't even exist in the world. Well maybe he can push it back, but even then, what stops them from simply taking king's soul after helbram is gone?
