Could Derrierie be the Beast?
What do you mean by the Beast?Could Derrierie be the Beast?
666.What do you mean by the Beast?
I don't think so, unless she is much stronger than we think(like above Meliodas and his brothers). It would fit the Demon King better IMO.666.
I'm pretty sure he is the strongest. Zeldris seems to be the leader of the TC, but he doesn't take order from Zeldris, in fact even Zeldris asks him what to do.Estarossa might not be the strongest demon king apprentice, 10 commandments, but he is without a doubt the most evil. Just imagine how wicked he is a bird into a demon. And who knows he might be the demon king.
Sssshhh. Do you realize the consequence of this ? You're gonna bring madness and summon dark123Zeldris is likely the parallel of Meliodas, as in the leader figure, whereas Estarossa is that of Escanor, as in the strongest of the team.

Discuss them here; creating a thread for their decrees alone is unnecessary.I am not sure if this is the right place to post it but is there a thread specifically for the Commandment's decrees? Or do you discuss this in here as well?
Neat idea.Alright. As of this latest chapter, # 170, I have had more concrete thoughts on what Gloxinia's decree is or rather how it could work and under which conditions.
Gloxinias is the Commandment of Repose, if you will, or rather represents "You shall honour the sabbath day and keep it holy".
That seems awfully specific seeing how in the NNT world there is no equivalent to Christianity or Judaism and the other world religions.
Nakaba is most likely going with a much more broadened term here. Sabbath is a holy custom, it represents tradition. Sabbath is also marked by a specific set of rules for a very specific duration.
And I think that's it already. Gloxinia's decree works by someone violating specific rules he set up for a specific time. Like a tournament. A tournament lasts until a winner is decided. Gloxinia had that idea with the tournament, he specified the rules. That's his "sabbath day", so to speak. If you quit in advance, you violate the sabbath. If you break its rules, you violate the sabbath.
Another reason why I think Gloxinia could be hung up on sticking to the rules and honouring them might lie in his past. Repeatedly he has mentioned that the humans are a greedy folk, that they only think of themselves and that they are vulgar, violent and what not. I think he got this decree by the demon king because when he still was the Fairy King, he upheld the relations to the humans. A ceasefire or treaty or something of that sort. And he clung to it to the very end but got bitterly betrayed by the humans or someone else at that time. Which would be so fitting. It would so fall in line with the general Fairy history and that sort of sentiment was passed down through the generations even to the point where Harlequin as a king knew that you shouldn't trust humans and be too friendly with them.
As for chapter 170, I think that while Escanor just did what he did, it won't last long. Either Gloxinias decree - provided it works as stated above - undoes the damage or Escanor is somehow punished in the process or it has some other effect. But ultimately I think Gloxinia will be right with what he said in some earlier chapters, that him and Dolor will have the last laugh. There is no cheating out of this tournament and Gloxinia might have set it up so that the conditions are met.
I think if that's how it works, it still has limits. It is about rules but from the way Gloxinia set them up, they are also fair. Something that is disadvantageous form the start probably would violate the decree, too. Or it has to be something that is applicable for all participants, caster included.Neat idea.
But then again, wouldn't that be far too overpowered? Setting a rule of, say, preventing to murder Gloxinia would give the Fairy King a huge advantage.
I'd rather have this decree take effect when the opponent agrees to perform under the aforementioned rules, which, in this case, would not inflict any sort of damage to Escanor.
If the caster is included, that completely changes the situation. I'd actually buy it if it were that.I think if that's how it works, it still has limits. Dolor already made it clear. The Commandments can be subjected to their own decrees as well. They actually have to be careful about how they use them, if they do.If the caster is included, that completely changes the situation. I'd actually buy it if it were that, honestly.
Indeed, but Gloxinia himself is not participating in this tournament. Even if his servant were to represent him, the former is already done for. That would create a loop which only results in Gloxinia's opponents being affected, whereas he's immune to his own Commandment - he has no rules to break.Dolor already made it clear. Yes, but it would still force him to continue this tournament and eventually fight. Since I assume that is the whole point. I mean, he only staged that entire thing to have a shot at Meliodas, right? So he does intend to fight one way or another. He might not have fought yet but it will eventually be his turn. He obviously made it so that even if he has to abide his own rules, he still maintains some advantage but as I said, if it works how I suggest there has to be some sort of limit somewhere.Indeed, but Gloxinia himself is not participating in this tournament. They seemed like they wanted to 2 versus 1 Meliodas, which would be unfair, but who knows, really.Yes, but it would still force him to continue this tournament and eventually fight. It's a lot of speculation right now. I think it will be explained in due time. I only wanna know how close I hit to home with this because I love calling stuff like that. :P
I'm pretty sure Merascylla's was 'You shall have no other gods before Me', because it's about having an unwavering faith in God.Okay. We know what Gloxinia's Commandment is but what about Dolor?
I think it could be one of either three
- You shall have no other gods before Me.
- You shall not make idols.
- Honor your father and your mother.
I think this because he is obviously worshipped as a deity by the giants. He also chose to make his golem servant in his own image. King confirmed that a golem only becomes complete and unleashes it's full potential if it was made with a clear image in mind. Diane drew her power from her feelings for her friends - the same principles apply to Dolor's golem yet he chose his own image. Which leads me to believe he has only faith in himself, so he must either not trust or believe in anyone else or he is extremely confident or it somehow plays into the favor of his Commandment decree.
What do you think?
Btw, what was Merascylla's corresponding Commandment if she was the Commandment of "faith" ?
