I think Darunia will be one of my favourite characters with his hammer and his dancing. XD
As for Ruto and Sheik, I'm liking that for the former they went with a water bender approach, while with the second they went with a ninja one, as it had to be expected.

Siliconera got to play as Darunia in a demo and provided some feedback as well as new information about weapons

There has been more screenshots added here recently too.
You can see the characters fighting in their OOT/TP/SW costumes as well.
Hylia Lake has been added and the Kokiri Forest too. Please Nintendo, add Saria.
Also, that blue haired chick (Lana I think?) is riding the baby Deku.

And here's the best part.
The Water Temple is back people.
The keys are everywhere, but yet nowhere...

Actually, it's pretty cool that they not only added the costumes from the 3 titles, but also their locations.
Lanayru Sea would be sooooo cool, also Gerudo Valley. Y'know, because of that catchy music.


Oooooooone more thing. The site where the pictures are posted also gets updates on the stages and characters, and guess what? Still more characters and stages to come.
Nabooru still has a shot.
It would be such a troll if they still had Tingle in mind, but its inevitable that he'll be there. Japan loves that guy for some reason.

Gotta love that water temple. Well, the water temple was hard but it was also fun.... I am glad they are bringing it back. Nabooru is definitely coming. They can't afford not to have her and her dual swords.... or huge ax.

Based on the trailer, I think Sheik's appearance is around the time Zelda is "missing" since she informed Impa and Link that the rumor of the princess's death was untrue. ^^ I'm assuming in the story mode, you can probably switch between the two.

Ganondorf should be present, considering that he's the most iconic villain.
In any case I'm totally hyped for this game and the characters' movesets are awesome, as well as the stages.

Well, they already have ruto for a zora although it is a bit of a shame she does not have quite the skills of mikau in majora's mask. I would take his combat over her waterbending. Still have my fingers crossed for a gerudo girl.

If Mikau was in Hyrule Warriors, he would probably be a waterbender too.
But he waterbends with his guitar, like the Wind Waker controls the wind. And his death animation would be him making a cool guitar solo before collapsing.

Huge shocker here guys.
Ganondorf is playable, and he sports some epic hair. I would personally had gone for the mullet he had in OOT.
So where is Nabooru, Nintendo?

Nintendo's press release:

• Adventure Mode: Players are faced with a grid of challenges that looks like the map from The Legend of Zelda on NES. Completing each challenge unlocks a new region of the map, and with it, a new level of Adventure Mode. Certain characters and weapons can only be unlocked in Adventure Mode.
• Costumes: Club Nintendo members who buy and register Hyrule Warriors within four weeks of launch will receive a set of alternate Ganondorf costumes as free in-game downloadable content. More details will be made available on http://club.nintendo.com. For certain other characters, Nintendo will make downloadable alternate costumes available as pre-order bonuses from select retailers in North America. Nintendo will announce more information about how to get these cosmetic add-ons in the future.
• Playable Characters: In addition to Ganondorf, players can opt to play as various characters from The Legend of Zelda universe. Each character carries his or her own specialty weapons: Link (Hylian Sword), Princess Zelda (Rapier), Impa (Giant Blade), Midna (Shackle), Sheik (Harp), Agitha (Parasol), Darunia (Hammer), Princess Ruto (Zora Scale), Zant (Scimitar), Fi (Goddess Blade), Ghirahim (Demon Blade) and Lana (Book of Sorcery).
• Weapons: A Chain Chomp will make a guest appearance as a weapon. As the story advances, new weapons will become available to some characters, such as the Magic Rod for Link, the Baton for Zelda and Spear for Lana. Weapons have special abilities called Skills that increase attack damage, or perhaps increase the chance of finding Hearts. Filling the Focus Spirit magic gauge will temporarily increase a character’s abilities and help to mow down huge numbers of enemies. And Bombchus are back, just bigger and more explosive.
• Game Play: Players can level their characters up to increase HP and attack skill, or they can grab materials dropped by defeated monsters to craft Badges to increase a weapon’s number of attacks, create longer combos or extend Focus Spirit time.
• Co-Op Mode: Two players can play a local co-op match, with one player looking at the TV and the other looking at the Wii U GamePad controller. Single players can also play on the TV, or using only the GamePad in off-TV play.
• Locations: Players will face down hordes of enemies in familiar locations, such as Skyloft from The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, Lake Hylia from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Twilight Field from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.
• Classic Zelda Elements: Players will recognize items from their favorite Zelda games, including bombs, arrows and a Hookshot. The game is filled with familiar Zelda staples, such as Cuccos, Rupees, Gold Skulltulas and plenty of grass cutting.

Ganondorf seems fun. Honestly, I thought he would have hair related attacks after seeing his hair. Seeing his style it kinda seems like they wanted him to have a demise-ish look considering his new hair and build. I wish they'd stuck to his classic look though. Ganondorf is supposed to be badass and hardened, he isn't supposed to look like he spends all his downtime applying copious amounts of hair gel. Its cool that he has swords although I wish they'd finally given him the one he had in the ending scene of super smash bros melee. He looks cool enough though, I guess I can't complain that much lol.
