New Hyrule Warriors Game!

Hurdle Warriors: Age of Calamity, a prequel to Breath of the Wild (it takes place 100 years before the game), has been announced. It will be out on Nov. 20, 2020.

Oh, that's interesting. I won't mind a hyrule warriors game that also happens to be cannon... It's a weird format to tell a zelda cannon story though.

Didn't play the previous Hyrule Warriors but I will definitely buy this one.

Not a huge fan of Warriors games usually, but this seems dope. Lot to expand on the BotW continuum. Hoping we'll get some hints in the game regarding BotW2.

so... was looking at the age of calamity trailer and i remembered seeing this and being confused years back playing the game. Isn't that zelda, calamity ganon and... ganondorf rather than link?

Sucking to the point that you give link red hair... not possible. Doesn't that look kinda like what the revived ganondord in the BOTW sequel might look like?

So a new villain eh. Doesn't they seem a lot like the supposed "Ganondorf" in the BotW2 teaser?

But the classic gray skin, long hair, jewel in forehead. Could be Vaati or Yuga or even Agahnim.

I also like the idea, that they might be the mysterious fortune teller, who had the Royal Family dig up the Ancient Machines. So that it was all a setup by Ganons minions all the time.

Btw, finally saw some of the gameplay video, I love and findit absolutely hilarious that they made all the Link stuffing his face with food in middle of battle memes and fan comics canon.

If they are an pre-existing character, I'd like Vaati most. Agahnim is kinda boring and Yugas character comes from the paint magic, which I can't seem being a thing in BotW universe.

Also considering that they originally planned to include the Minish in BotW, Vaati would make sense keeping that in mind.

It can't really be a pre existing character though. Most non ganon villains die in their respective games IIRC. It could be someone inspired by a former villain but a new one makes the most sense. I think a yuga clan member that is actually intimidating would make the most sense...

I dunno. Often they are also sealed, banished or perished or famished or whatever. Besides continuity is a loose concept in Zelda. It could be sort alternate version of pre-existing character.

True though that they rarely recycle villains other than Ganon. Vaati being the most notable exception.

Based on the teaser, I don't think the mystery villain is a Yuga themself. But clearly works with them. Clearly a Ganon follower though. Likely a corrupted Sheikah.
