I doubt that Musashi will go to the same castle as Kojiro. I'm sure he'll remain a Vagabond for a while. Maybe do a bit of farming and caligraphy...

And bring back Gonnosuke. He must have improved now.

Yes, all the important conversations are difficult to understand lately.

The idea of Musashi and Kojiro in the same building is awesome. Just think how much mayhem they could create. I don't really think of them as enemies, just two people destined to become friends. Do you remember when Matahachi said he imagined Musashi and him as two strong men standing together? the image which appeared then was Kojiro and Musashi together. and the first time they met in that battle, and suprised each other sb said they instinctivelt knew they were not enemies XD

I know Kojiro and Musashi will become friends. remember that time when they met and you could read the sparks? it's chemistry, and they fit.

and i think that, all the more, is going to make it more dramatic when the time comes that they'll have to fight each other for whatever reason there is.

i think so, yeah. he knows where he belongs. it's the path of the sword he must take. the old man told him to go to the path in the middle, where mediocrity is. But Musashi's not born for that, he's born for greatness.

Agree. Though, I wonder who he'll get to fight now. He's already faced most of the opponents he faced in the novel (but the final one), there's only Gonnosuke left and posibly a band of thieves in a village where Musashi would teach the inhabitants the basis of strategy and use the two swords style again.

I guess it'll be more based on Kojiro now. He fought one of the four Hosokawa's blade teacher but there are the other three left (in the book he only fought one).

Looking forward to seing that anyway.

that's why i'm saying it'll be Kojiro vs Musashi one day. Nobody else can be a worthy adversary.

I don't think the middle path was intended to represent the path of mediocrity. Though mediocrity may flourish in it, the intention is not the same. I believe the middle path is more the path of balance in order to obtain nirvana.

Remember, Buddhism flourished at this time so having Buddhist undertones in order to explain certain ideas should be discussed. Also remember, at one point in his life, Musashi actually does put down the sword and focuses on more of a Buddhist lifestlye. But that is much later in his life

noted. I actually couldn't find a word other than mediocrity at that time, though I understood the old man was stressing on "peace through the middle path" or something like that.

Still, I think Musashi will always be in pursuit of something greater, thus he cannot stay in the balance.

musashi the fugitive!!!!!, welll, the of the story is near,and i think while musashi's recovering his leg,he would stay in the village where he teach the villagers how to protec again the vandals,and the character of iori.......i guess he won't be included in vagabond, maybe gonosuke will replace him.....otsu run and cath musashi (i love 268,the hug was xxxxxxxxxDDDDD)

what did tenma do to kohei
why tenma had been said to save kohei life

He sort of castrated him I guess.
From memory : later, with the girl, Kohei says he can't get "it" hard or use "it" any more, or something like that. Around chapter 126 we can also see one guy getting killed whilst raping a woman, so that's how Kohei's life was saved, he's not able to rape any one (at least not that way) or have sexual intercourses, so he cannot get killed whilst doing it.

Sorry, I didn't have the books to check, and it had been a while for I had read those chapters. I just checked it now. Obviously I mixed it with the woman killed by Tenma while Kohei is raping her, one minute before the castration thing.
