Re: 226 Discussion [Vagabond]
Alright, as I expected, Musashi was going to build upon his Niten Ichi method in this battle.
I guess his method was to bypass the "flesh and bones" of the Yoshioka and go straight for its "soul", Ueda.
It should be a great battle, but knowing that there's not gonna be some big "boss" battle at the end is unique and disappointing in its own way. Unless Ueda rises up and face Musashi without half his face, which is likely to happen anyway seeing as how it doesn't seem that his injury was immediately terminal.
My prediction for 227:
Musashi demonstrates the basis for his "Go Rin No Sho" when he tries to explain the philosophy in which battles against multiple enemies should be fought one-on-one, and how if you can truly defeat one man, you can defeat one hundred men. Plus the expansion of Niten Ichi. Basically, this upcoming chapter is going to be a defining moment in Musashi's journey as he's going to come upon a number of realizations and after this battle, he'll continue on his quest on a higher plateau of knowledge--which basically happens after every significant battle in this book.
