Hm... i am not sure how i feel with the shade of pink of cusacks hair though and his clothes color a shade of white jesus christ how lazy this can get?

I remember when i colored these guys in few chapters i colored back when i was still hyped about this series it took me a at least some days until i will decide the colors i would put even did multiple different color combination versions to decide which one will click me better because if i don't feel the click i am not satisfied and i want to be satisfied in what i do. I seriously hate i am perfectionist i wish i did not, suck ass to be a perfectionist because your mind cannot rest until something you do is perfect what a curse...

To me they went with some lazy colors i suppose because it would be easier for them while they animate the scenes but i like the yellowish orangish shade in chandlers sleeves i think the color combination with white is ok but i am not sure if the pink bow-tie fits that well.

Aren't the colors decided by nakaba i.e the author of source material?..He gave cusack Reddish-pink in a volume cover i think..not sure about the dress color code though..

i don't know because there had been cases where the anime had different colors than nakaba's cover so i don't know what is happening with this stuff.

it's sad to see my boi king with his wings reduced in size and the cover would've been cooler with king shown flying and mel with somewhat different pose..

nakaba reduced it's size since 300..but still i want to believe that it's just perspective and the wings are "folded" ?..

More like to draw with more comfort. King is a character which appears in each chapter and in a lot of panels, so drawing his huge wings with details while he is in his awakened form takes some time and that could be even tiring. So Nakaba has just chilled a bit and draws the minimum of his wings.
But yet, for covers or colorspreads he could take some effort and do it correctly....

yeah..like he did with 4C mael's 6 wings in volume 34 and not in magazine releases..

IDK ..it looks the same colors to me from this art in chp 312..(in the right set of his wings)..We will have to wait for anime since they change color schemes..i hope they do better job

Take a better look on both pictures. King on the volume 40 has at least 6 different colours on the spots (green, blue, pink, yellow, etc) while on the colourspread just one same colour for them. I am talking about the spots. For the rest it seem Nakaba is keeping the wings kinda transparent.

That combo looks great, makes it look like a battle royale and Mel and Ellie on opposing sides is such a nice touch

To be fair a lot of characters get less detail in their appearance when it comes to covers/chapters where they aren't most important.

Some Goddesses wings get less detail or depth to them and look trash, just like how King here gets tiny wings when they're actually huge.
