To summarize, I just think that

RanShinEnBou will give Fuji a lot of Trouble.

And Sanada have Superior Power and Strength than Fuji. (Sanada have way better stats than Fuji)

Shadow and Triple Clutch too.

Well, we are just assuming Fuji can. Maybe he couldn't?

So, if Fuji Cannot hit SSS, then he will be murdered by Rai right?

And even if he could,

Sanada can use Shadow to be Unpredictable.

That way, Fuji won't even know what will be the next move of Sanada.

The problem of most of Fuji's techniques are the user needs to know the kind of shot he will try to return.

For ex, Tsubame only works on Spin Balls. Or
6th Counter only Works on Cord Balls. Higuma Otoshi only works on Smash. Etc.
It should give him trouble, but the inverse applies as well. I don't see what Sanada has that counters Fuji.

Triple Clutch isn't a thing.

Would Shadow counter Light Wind? Back in those chapters, I wrote the explanation like this:

It's explained that inside your head you first see your opponent's movements, then analyse the outcome of the ball and said opponent's movement, and then react accordingly. However, with his Light Wind Fuji's brain is skipping the middle step altogether, and reacts immediately after seeing his opponent move thanks to his outstanding tennis sense.
Also I checked and Ryoma did try to use Hope, but he wasn't able to get it over the net because of the 5th counter. I wonder if this would apply to Sanada's Specials, too.

Yeah. Shadow Counters Light Wind

The Brain cannot see the next movement cause of Shadow.

In Short, Fuji's Sense Wont probably sense Shadow?

Very Interesting topic and matchup indeed.

Another question is:

How will Sanada Counter Fuji's Combination of 5th and 6th counter?

Forest will beat 5th Counter. But it will be returned by 6th counter.

Will Rai able to teleport to Hoshi hanabi place? Hmm

I'm not sure it's a counter, though. Fuji is reacting to the move that his opponent just did, he isn't planning ahead.

6th counter only works if the opponent returns with a cord ball, Sanada likely won't need to worry about it.

If both cannot deal with each other moves then

Can Both Keep Serve against the other?

If yes, then it will be a stamina battle and will be decided on tiebreaks.

Sanada have better stamina and endurance. He is also more viewable as more physically fit.😎 If that counts. Hahahha

The problem is that Sanada needs to keep spamming his Specials and they all take a toll in his stamina according to 10.5. We also know that if he uses Rai too much his knees die and has only used the move sporadically ever since they started playing 3 sets (and against Australia he didn't use it at all). Also Fuji can start his games and Sanada's with the 5th counter but Sanada hasn't shown the ability to use his moves as he serves (or, at least, I don't remember him ever doing that).

The 5th counter will force Sanada to either stick to Wind/Storm or bend the ball so it passes the net which greatly reduces the threat of all his moves. If Shadow doesn't counter Light Wind (and imo it doesn't) then Fuji has this in the bag since he can rally with TnK and Sanada hasn't shown he can. Fuji can play at such a pace that he baited Ryoma to use Cool Drive, then Ryoma changed moves in a split second and Fuji reacted to it.

Fuji move is actually insanely good. He's been show to be able to score against Bismarck. Yes, it's 2-1. But the move is still able to score.

Ok, I am done playing devils advocate.

I voted for Fuji. Lmao.

After all Fuji will be the 4th Strongest Singles Player of Japan in the Future

1. Ryoma
2. Atobe
3. Yukimura (I cant see how Fuji beats Yuki, it just isnt possible as of the moment)
4. Fuji
5. Kintarou
6. Sanada
7. Akutsu
8. Shiraishi
9. Akaya
10. Yanagi/Kite/Oshitari

(I supposed that will be the ranking too after The Finals of Japan Msers in Singles)

So yeah #4 > #6 so Fuji Wins. Lol

WAIT. WOW

Sanada overtakes Fuji in the Poll 4-3?!😮😮

Hot Take.

I will go with Akaya.

Shiraishi's Entaku shot only works when he is dominating or controlling the rally. That's why he was only able to do it against Fuji and Zaizen when he was the more dominant rally player back then in their matches.

I don't think regular Bible will do well against Akaya.

Now, Star Bible will be the toughest to deal with for Akaya. Because Shiraishi can copy Hadokyuu or any of Shinjenhoji's techniques.

However, Akaya's Devil and Angel Mode. And the Fused ones can overpower shiraishi imo

Question is, whether the stamina of Akaya can hold.

I'm gonna be honest: I don't think Shiraishi stands any sort of chance here.

Shiraishi's best feat is dominating TnK! Kin. We've concluded that it was mostly because he knew Kin's weak points and they were playing on a doubles court. He CAN rally with TnK imo... but so could Kirihara with an incomplete Blue Eyes Mode. Blue Eyes made Kirihara even faster than that, to the point he was "really" playing doubles on his own and jumped into Tanegashima's reality after being divided by Existence Boundary. Would it be strange to say he looked stronger than his partner (who was better than a Pro level player at that point) in those 2 final chapters?

The Stamina drain and time limit was just an effect of the incomplete version, as pointed out in 338 by both the crowd and Tanegashima. He was just too exhausted after fainting in the first set (same applies for his match against Fuji).
--- Double Post Merged, , Original Post Date: ---

More on Kirihara's Stamina: in 10.5, the coaches noted that his endurance and leg strength greatly increased in the camp. Konomi made him grow 2 cms since then and made him actually lose 2 kilos in the process, so it stands to reason that he further evolved in Stamina and Defense (and Speed, but we already know that).

Shiraishi's only chance is letting Kirihara grow overconfident and then attacking him with Technique (displayed as Chitose's Kamikakushi) but honestly Kirihara already faced much tougher opposition in his match against Germany, I don't see it scoring past him. Marui (who has really low Power) managed to repel Hadoukyuus with Wonder Castle, and it's not like you can spam Hadous for long either, so that's not an answer either. Nevermind the fact that Kirihara sent TnK! Siegfried flying so he's packing a bunch of Power of his own, too.

So, in short. This just relies on Akaya's stamina

If he can maintain his blue eyes for 3 sets, then he wins

But if he can't, then he will just be a version of himself that was basically no diffed by Fuji.

I argue Fuji is significantly better than Shiraishi at this point though.

Yes, Shiraishi's techniques are useless. He cannot even use Entaku shot because I doubt he will control a rally.

Unlike Muga and Devil Mode, Blue Eyes doesn't seem to drain Stamina at all, so there's nothing to "maintain".

If Shiraishi could have a 7 in Speed and Stamina at the same time he could try to drag the match as long as possible and try to win with a comeback since Kirihara cannot pace himself, but Star Bible only allows him to improve a single stat. Akaya might win this in 40 minutes.

I say Kirihara win. I'm only interested in how much he win by because that would impact Shiraishi/Tanegashima and Akaya/Tanegashima and comparison with Germany Doubles 1 pair.

Poor Shiraishi. He always lose now among his tiers.

Back in POT, he is seen stronger than Fuji and Akaya

Now, He climb down to Yanagi and Kite Tier.

The way we are hyping Akaya now. I think we all agree he far surpassed Yanagi now.

And gets closer to Sanada. But still way below Yukimura.

With his rate, maybe he can surpassed the 3 in the Future. That is his goal right?

AND

Take note Akaya is Chosen by Japan Coaches to play against Germany.

I theorized that by that time (Semis), Japanese Coaches picked the strongest possible allowed Combination against Germany. THAT TIME at least.

Which means for Japan Coaches, Niou and Akaya are the best Doubles Player Mser during that time. Or Maybe they complemented Duke and Tanegashima the best respectively? Who knows.

Nah, Fuji was clearly better than him in his match against Niou.

Being Yanagi and Kite tier ain't bad at all tbh. You could argue both were already as good as him in PoT, too.

At this point in the series I think Kirihara is better than Sanada (even more if Sanada fights head on) but we won't get to see them play because it's important for Akaya's character to look up to the 3 demons. It would be ridiculous if Yanagi can still no diff him.

Against Germany, they wanted a player that was all about aggression to try and get a Howling with Tanegashima's excellent defense. Kintarou was terrible at doubles so they went with Kirihara. It's a bit of a poor excuse since Atobe and Fuji (for example) were already way better (in singles and doubles) and had shown they could play full attack tennis, while still being flexible enough to adapt to different partners (unlike maybe Sanada).

Akaya is better than Sanada? Hmmm.

I am not so sure about that tbh. I mean I don't think I will go that far yet.

Sanada VS Fuji is very close. And I believe they are both slightly better than Akaya now.

But yes. Akaya should stomped Yanagi now.

I guess Fuji and Atobe are more suited to Singles.

While Akaya is better Doubles

Akaya loss almost all his Singles Game:

Lost against Rikkai Trio in Practice, Fuji TWICE, Ryoma. He even lost against Siegfried in Singles. Lol

In Doubles, he almost always Win.

That's just naming results though, disregarding how every game transpired.

Kirihara lost vs Ryoma because of plot and then when Konomi gave him the exact same upgrade Ryoma got... he lost to Fuji because of plot.

So with Red Eyes he was better than Ryoma (until Muga) but worse than Fuji (until Muga) and yet lost both games.

The second Fuji match is not even worth discussing but Fuji played along and said Kirihara was better than him.

He "lost" the set to Siegfried but left him dead on the floor, he never meant to win the set itself. At the end of the day it worked well (even if his final execution barely missed) since Tanegashima was worse than Bismarck but Kirihara managed to come back before Sieg and win the second set.

FTR he won against Tachibana, Krauser and Orion (technically? if we are talking about Siegfried we gotta mention him, too).

Meanwhile it's noted that he doesn't like doubles and won't stop thinking about attacking. He only works well here with partners that can take a step back and support him.

Niou was chosen because the other coaches suggested Byoudin to take on the Doubles Pros. At first Mifune scoffed at the idea. But off screen must have come up with using Niou's illusion.

Akaya's lack of flexibility might have been a positive factor. Someone who wouldn't backdown from attacking no matter what. The howling didn't form, but it makes sense.

Lol. Then who the hell the other Coaches think will face Volk? Lmao (Tokugawa?)

I wonder if Tanegashima and Akaya could have really have an howling. Technically, No one in Japan Pairs was able to achieve howling. Well except for Niou, but that is using Illusion of other players.

Lol.

Akaya and Kintarou hate doubles.

But they are the best at it among Msers.
Even better than Ryoma, Yuki, Sanada, and maybe even better than Fuji and Atobe in Doubles.

If I am an assistant coach of Japan. I will suggest Akaya/Kintarou Pairing in the WC 2 years from now exclusively. And not play Singles. To piss them off. Lmao. Jk.
