Oohabu has actually "a complicated spin and movement that is unpredictable even for the player himself" (<- Hirakoba's 10.5 profile). So, by spamming Oohabus, Kite can probably turn Saiki "off" (just like Tachibana did with Abare Dama). He can hit them as serves and regular shots, too, not just smashes.

Does this mean that Kite accidentally hit 2 people in the head in his match vs Kimijima-Tohno and pretended it was on purpose because it makes him look cool? Maybe
The thing is there is not a single match at all where Chitose/Tachibana/Kite have a place in Singles in this tournament. They're not against any country any Japan is up against other than maybe Aramenoma. Kite value in doubles are probably that much better.

Maybe against Greece Players who didn't play like Hades, Vulcan, and Hermes. (Konomi hinted they are not that weak though.iirc, Konomi implied they are stronger than that stephanopolous brothers Akaya/Tohno fought against)
They might have a chance against Evangelos/Hercules.
Evangelos is really weak from what weve seen. Hercules will be the problem.
But anyways, Mifune and other Coaches didnt made lineups Seriously until Semis against Germany.
They have questionable decisions like putting Niou in Singles 2 against Australia. Lmao. (Niou's illusion is significantly weaker in Singles)
Or putting 4 Msers in a Do or Die match against France in quarters.
I think Kite has a fair chance at beating Chitose currently. His Ohabu should give Chitose problems until he finds a counter to it, given he has high technique he should eventually counter it. After that, it depends on how he manages to handle ODS, he isn’t like Henri who can freely manipulate and control the spin of the ball or has a zone like Tezuka.
Kite being selected and not Chitose makes me believe the former has higher potential and will be better in the future. Stats wise Kite is one point higher and I doubt at this point Saiki alone would shut him down.
He should be able to return Kamikakushi and after that and Saiki Chitose’s got nothing left, and Kite has a wider arsenal of moves.
If he mastered Nitoryu then Saiki becomes useless as Chitose would not be able to predict his next move.

Kite's profile does say: "He is also able to handle the Habu and Oohabu at will. " so let's interpret that as Kite being able to direct the path perfectly (which... makes things much simpler to explain, yes).
But it doesn't change that for the other person the shot is unpredictable. Tachibana aimed Abare Dama at Chitose's blindspot and even like that Chitose needed to take a wild guess to return it.

Chitose was selected and rejected his spot, though (which is why I listed him as "former" even if it's not exactly that). Both him and Tachibana turned down the offer to focus on their training to achieve Beast Synchro.
Assuming the order matters and that Kirihara and Echizen were always going to be selected because of their potential, then the 2 players that got in thanks to WoK rejecting their spots are Oishi and... Kite.
Suzuki fell for Kamikakushi and he has 4 Speed, 4 Mental and 4 Tec. The report of that match says that Chitose can hit that shot at any point now (whereas in the past his backhand wasn't reliable). Based on that and Zaizen getting clowned by it at the Nationals, plus Tezuka remaining at the baseline whenever Chitose hit drives, it's very clearly not an easy shot to return from the net, so Kite's vertical step is probably sealed with that. Since it disappears, any wrong judgement will screw him up (based on Henri's statement) so his horizontal step is likely sealed, too.
Actually, Chitose has a wider array of access to techniques thanks to Muga. He was able to copy Tightrope Walking (vs Tachibana) and Sky Inversion Drop Volley (vs Tezuka) just by watching Seigaku vs Rikkai at Kanto. Ryuzaki even mentions that he could hit a power shot like Hadoukyu if he wanted. This, in turn means he can mix up lasers and curved lasers and counter the Steps more effectively, for example.
Kite's last match with Marui revealed he hasn't mastered Nitouryuu.
Gonna check on Chitose's profile tonight, if that changes anything.
Maybe.

From the not selected players, only Kenya has a higher stat total than Sengoku (18 vs 17 as of 10.5, maybe Sengoku's is higher now).
With only 3 in Stamina I don't think it's that clear. Against Tachibana he only activated Saiki towards the end of the match, as otherwise he would had ran out of gas (which happened in his match against Washio/Suzuki, likely because of the Beast Aura).
If Chitose cannot win 4 service games without Muga in each set then he loses imo.
But maybe his profile says sth interesting about his Stamina.

Chitose Senri
A maniac who studies Muga. One of the former Wings of Kyuushuu, he continuously explores the potential of his tennis.
Supplemental Info:
-Since the members of his room are eccentric, he often goes for a walk at night. (His roommates are Inui, Yanagi and Mizuki).
-He checks on his e-mails once every 20 minutes.
Height: 194cm Weight: 81kg Handedness: Left Shoe Size: 28.0cm Eyesight (Unaided): Right: Low vision on the right side / Left: 0.8 Special Techniques: Muga no Kyouchi, Saiki Kanpatsu no Kiwami, Kamikakushi Playstyle: All Rounder Favourite Brands:
Shoes: Prince (TRIPLE THREAT RIP) Racket: Prince (Pro Hold Tour II CG)
School (Year, Class, Number): Shitenhouji Junior High (3rd Year Class 1 No. 17) Birthday: 12/31 (Capricorn) Blood Type: Type A Hobbies: Shogi. Walking Family Members: Father - Mother - Younger Sister Committee: Beautification Favorite Color: Dandelion Favorite Food: Horse meat Thing he wants most: Silver earrings Thing you're bad at: Spiders Specialty outside of tennis: Recognising siblings on first sight
Stats:
Speed - 3: He wears iron getas that weight 6kgs. Once he switches to tennis shoes, he can move at an unexpected speed.
Power - 4: With a fine physique, the lower half of his body has been trained thanks to his iron getas, which in turn allows him to deliver powerful blows that overwhelm his opponents.
Stamina - 3: His eyesight, affected by his match against Tachibana, hasn't completely recovered and its burdening his physical strength. This, combined to his use of Muga and Saiki (which consume Stamina), makes him unsuited for prolonged battles.
Mental - 4: His curious mind is actually a weakness. He disregards victory and defeat as long as he can further study Muga.
Technique - 5: Being able to use Muga at will clearly displays high Technique.
Kurobe Memo:
He has the dangerous flaw of a maniac: he cannot resist his curiosity. His ability is first class. I want Tachibana to push him to correct his eyesight, without hesitation.
Image 1: Besides disappearing, the shots on their own are at a National level.
Image 2: With a love for the unknown, curiosity is the driving force behind Chitose.

I do not have access to anything about his Tenipa profile, but as far as I know his vision is still poor and his only change physique wise is that he is now 195cm tall.
Considering that his vision is hurting Chitose's Stamina, I give this to Kite, since these are usually 3 set matches. Something like 4-6 6-4 6-2.
But Chitose cannot use Saiki for a prolonged period of time. He may not be able to do it through a whole set, let alone 2. Against Tachibana, for instance, he activated it at 4-5 otherwise "his legs won't move".
The coaches took note of this and gave him just a 3.
Kimijima has a 4 and it's noted "he cannot last a whole set".
Ochi's 4: His weakness is that in the latter half of a match his movements become tired and slow. He urgently needs to strengthen his stamina.
Mouri's 4 does say it's "enough for 3 sets" but he cannot pace himself to do it.
Pretty much all other 4s are ok for a 3 set match (or a drawn-out one), 3 is "insufficient for it".
Kite can just spam Oohabus and prolong the match as much as possible.

Yes. But it's not like Kite have access to Coaches Data to know and emphasize it. Kite isnt a Data Player like Renji or Inui.
Anyways, even if he knows.
I think Chitose Can use Muga if he cant use Saiki the whole match.
Ohabu will be a big problem for Chitose. I agree.
But Chitose's Kamikasushi will win some points too.
Actually IMO, the best Chance Kite has to win is PLAYING DIRTY.
As in injurying Chitose or putting a dirt in his face. And then hitting him in the face Like What Kite tried to do against Tezuka.
IDK why. But The WOK pair Chitose and Tachibana seemed like have a Weakness against "DIRTY" (Sorry I cant remember the right term) Players like Akaya or Tohno who (yeah you know their playstyles)

He doesn't really need access to data, everyone knows the downsides of Muga. Konomi at least gave Ryoma a way to explain his Muga spam by saying he has a really high recovery rate (and even then, his Stamina is at least 4).
Pretty sure Kite's 23.5 briefly talks about him not playing dirty any more so... that's not an option, lol.
Yanagi was scaled and defeated by Inui.
Inui is mentioned/implied many times to be Weaker than Fuji in Seigaku. And We knew Fuji was destroyed by Tachibana in their practice match
Tachibana>Fuji > Inui ≥ Yanagi
However
In Npot, I think Yanagi improved much better though.
He was a big factor against France. Beating Edgar and Jonathan. While Tachibana is a non factor the whole NPOT.

The comparison doesn't really track since Data Tennis is very unique in the way it works. It allows you to beat players that, by default, are much stronger than you. It just so happens that Fuji is immune to it and people cannot get his data.
I'm not sure who is stronger in PoT itself.
Yanagi was a big factor against France, but it was mostly as an enabler of Mouri who was the best player on the court. At the same time he was "just" a substitute whereas Tachibana got into the first team that was drafted, so originally he wasn't seen as such a valuable asset by the coaches. Best case scenario for Renji, Tachibana ranked 14th and Yanagi 17th.
I think Yanagi takes it, he starts with high level advantage due to Data Tennis (Tachibana is not a foreign player so Yanagi likely has all his Data) and he adapts his data quickly to changes. Given that Yuki could return Abare Dama on sight alone, Yanagi can likely due it through Data though it might break through a few times.
For me the biggest decider is does Beast Aura power up Tachibana enough to just Rawly overpower Yanagi. If we assume a roughly equal improvement in stats since Yanagi was only a reserve and neitger has the High Speed Evolution Trait. Then Yanagi only has Technique over Tachibana for pure stats. If Tachibana levels up enough from Wild Beast Aura than he has a chance. Otherwise I think Yanagi has control.

Yuki returning Abare Dama is anime only (in the manga Ryoma copies the Entaku Shot). We've only seen someone return it twice: Chitose, by guessing that Tachibana would specifically aim for his blind spot, and Kintarou who just returned all balls with his clones.
Funny bit about Tachibana's stats: in the profile of WoK vs Washio/Suzuki, Chitose gets his Stamina boosted (presumably because of the Beast Synchro) but Tachibana's isn't. There's a chance that, for whatever reason, the stats that are displayed on his sheet are his Beast Aura stats, not his base ones (which is odd since Konomi seemingly didn't do that with anyone else). Maybe it's just his Stamina that doesn't get any significant boost but his Speed and Power still do (I find this more likely).
It is funny. Chitose and Tachibana are supposed to be equal. But:
I think if the matchup is Yanagi VS Chitose. I would have went with Chitose. (Chitose can use Muga and Saiki so data is useless against him. Since Yanagi wouldn't know what chitose will copy)
But for Yanagi VS Tachibana. I think Yanagi's data will be effective against him.
Tachibana doesnt have any auras. No Saiki. Not even Muga. So the only ace he have is abare dama. And I don't think he can just spam it whole game. No Player in POT world can use their special shots for the whole 3 set game.
Yanagi have Kamataichi and Utsutsemi too. It will get some points imo.
