Lol. Then who the hell the other Coaches think will face Volk? Lmao (Tokugawa?)

I wonder if Tanegashima and Akaya could have really have an howling. Technically, No one in Japan Pairs was able to achieve howling. Well except for Niou, but that is using Illusion of other players.
--- Double Post Merged, , Original Post Date: ---

Lol.

Akaya and Kintarou hate doubles.

But they are the best at it among Msers.
Even better than Ryoma, Yuki, Sanada, and maybe even better than Fuji and Atobe in Doubles.

If I am an assistant coach of Japan. I will suggest Akaya/Kintarou Pairing in the WC 2 years from now exclusively. And not play Singles. To piss them off. Lmao. Jk.
The first Howling we saw was Tokugawa/ Yukimura.

I'm not sure I'd say Akaya is one of the best doubles players. He's usually just attacking aggressively but his partner is usually a strong doubles player covering him. Yanagi's data and Tane's Void techniques. Not to say Akaya's weak, but he kind of just ignores doubles strategy.

Kin is actually developing the doubles mindset by instinct

Oh yeah. I forgot about Yuki and Toku Howling.

Hmmm. If I will rank Msers from strongest to weakest as Doubles Player.

1. Niou (WITH Illusion)

2. Kintarou

3. Akaya

4. Fuji

5. Shiraishi

6. Kite

Ryoma, Yukimura, Atobe and Sanada. I felt like are significantly weaker in Doubles than Singles. And I mean Significant!!!

Oh. This is no contest.

It is Atobe.

We can have an indirect and direct comparison

Indirectly, Romeo Will beat Akutsu easily. And Atobe defeated Romeo convincingly.

Akutsu has 8C, but he doesn't master it. (Compared it to Byo's 8C, and it fails in comparison). Amadeus have no problem rallying against it. And Imo, 3rd Yr HS Atobe is as good as Amadeus if not better.

Directly,

3rd Year HS Atobe Will Stomp Akutsu hard.
Atobe's skills is too much

Why would Romeo beat Akutsu easily?

How did Atobe win convincingly? He won by the smallest of margins after getting a massive boost from Romeo's Materializar. Had Romeo known there was a drawback in Atobe's evolution he would had played in a completely different manner.

Akutsu's Tenipuri Party profile has 8C listed as an ability, I'm not sure why we should think he hasn't mastered it. He just didn't use the 10 clones from the get go to trick Amadeus. The downside is that, much like Atobe, his body isn't ready to use the ability for an extended period of time.

Amadeus had trouble, he lost his own service game against 8C. Had Akutsu been serving he would had won the game quickly. Meanwhile Atobe and Romeo had no answer for each other in their receiving games.

Tbf Atobe easily broke Romeo serve once he unlocked seeing his future opponents moves. And even in his weaken state was able to rally and overcome 120% Romeo.

Monster vs King!
Both of em are lacks strength enough to perform their true strengths.
It leads to base tennis.
Monster can hit destruction
Atobe got his ice serve
And etc
Amadeus compared Monster spirit to Boss himself however he skips tennis often
And I can see there is a hole
Master of insight can find that hole
In the other hand Monster is one rare talent
He almost beat Tane at look over there
... In case of potential, he can go further than Atobe! Yet his attitude toward tennis is lame
I highly believe those who are know what they want has more to offer than the rest
I choose Emperor over Tensaie cause Fuji often don't take tennis seriously (more in the past) while Sanada has more commitments.
He (Fuji) needed to find a reason or ... during a match while Sanada fighting for a horizon.

Bosd beated Monster Volk is a great example of that.
So I choose King over Monster!

Atobe barely win over Romeo.
In case of will Atobe has more than Romeo than Actusu (After all he is Captain)
Anyway:
Serve, ice world/Destruction
Both can be countered by the time.
8th C Vs Future (limit on both)
Insight and Abnormal way of playing
Clone Vs Rondo
Adaptation Vs Insight
Monster countered Shadow!
Atobe probably can do it with Insight
He learned about Tane's game after "look over there" and shares to Sanada. (Kinda Insight:))
What else?
This match is something way Worth to see
I wonder at the end what both of them can achieve. They probably good at doubles too.

I dont think he mastered it.

It is flat out stated when Byodoin used 8C that the reason AKutsu Lost against Amadeus is because the body of a regular Mser cannot handle 8C.

Perfect 8C for me is how Byodoin used it. I know Byo is a better player than Akutsu. But still, Byo's 8C really make Akutsu's 8C laughable.

Going back,

All Atobe needs to do is prolong the match, and 8C will destroy Akutsu's body.

I think Atobe without evolution can prolong it long enough. Even though Akutsu will win the first set. Atobe will win the second and third set easily once he used Infinite Evolution.

Let's say 8C5 is the 5 clones version, 8C10 is the full version.

I addressed that. Akutsu could had used 8C10 from the get go but chose not to. So he can do it, but his body will die shortly after. Byoudouin can use that version for long because he's physically stronger.

But Akutsu doesn't need 8C10, that's Volk level. He's playing Atobe, not Volk. 8C5 might be enough and he used that for a whole hour (likely longer than what Atobe lasted with his Evolution)

How can Base Atobe prolong anything? Base Romeo broke his serve. Amadeus is much stronger than that.

On top of that, odds are that Base Akutsu with Destruction has a better chance to prolong a match.

But that's the point right? Akutsu is using 8C5 for 1 hour already. And still he cannot win a single set? (How can he maintain it in 3 sets?)
(Unless, we will hype Amadeus as hell too)

Akutsu cannot even win the set by using 8C5 by 1 Hour.

3rd Year Hser Atobe should be stronger than Amadeus imo. Now, if that is not the case, then Akutsu may have a chance.

Anyways, giving Akutsu the benefit of the doubt,

That in 1 Hour, he can beat Atobe in the First set.

Now, Atobe can use Infinite Evolution to win 2nd and 3rd set easily.

-------

Ok, let's say Akutsu only needs 30 mins to beat Atobe in first set.

Now, he is left with 30 mins.

Now, Atobe can use his Future self to prolong the match more than 30 mins.

But it's pointed out that the point only lasted an hour because Akutsu was baiting Amadeus. The moment Amadeus finally adapted to 8C5, Akutsu immediately brought up 8C6 to win the point. He would had certainly won the match after that, Amadeus would had been demoralised.

8C5! Akutsu broke Amadeus' serve immediately, which is a massive feat given that it took Ralph 3 sets to do the same (and he did it without losing a point).

Why would it take 8C5! Akutsu 30 mins to win a set against Base! Atobe? Kirihara and Ludovic are players that go all in attacking and can win sets in 15~ minutes. After that he still has 45 mins which is probably around the length of the set and a half that Atobe played while in Evolution. Nevermind the fact that if Atobe plays at base Akutsu can do the same and spam Destructions, and Atobe hasn't shown anything to indicate that he can return them, so there's no need for him to pop 8C5 from the get go.

Gonna try to organise my thoughts better but:

Volk=Byoudouin>

8C6! Akutsu >

8C5! Akutsu (HS3 Atobe and 120% Romeo are here imo) (small advantage) >

Ralph = Amadeus (small advantage) >

HS2 Atobe = Bismarck (small advantage) >

100% Romeo >

Romeo >

(base Akutsu is here imo) >

Atobe
--- Double Post Merged, , Original Post Date: ---

Actually, checking the chapters again, I think HS3 Atobe was still stronger than 120% Romeo even if by only a bit, but his body was just too banged up to have proper rallies. In turn, that would lower Romeo to Ralph-Amadeus tier which bugs me much less.

Like this:

8C6! Akutsu >

8C5! Akutsu (HS3 Atobe) (small advantage) >

120% Romeo = Ralph = Amadeus (small advantage) > etc

Actually, bottom line is this.

What if they both start at Max

So Akustu use 8C5 and then Atobe use Infinte Evolution at the get go.

Who will have the upper hand?

Who will destroy each other?

Is that a stalemate just keeping their serves, and just waiting for each other to pass out?

The coaches voiced their concerns on Akutsu skipping practice:

" Stamina – 4: Even though he doesn't exercise regularly, his stamina is quite high. I'm the most concerned about the time he spent away from the tennis court. "

But he has lost weight between fanbooks and we know he's in the HSer NT in the future, so that seems to be in the past.

Romeo at 100% forced Bismarck, who is pro level, to go all out. He's no scrub.

Atobe as HS3 is likely as strong as Amadeus (slightly better even, imo).

I just checked Akutsu vs Amadeus and the latter didn't go all out until Akutsu was at break point so that changes my order once again a bit.

If they both start at absolute Max then Akutsu wins pretty much all points and dies because his body shouldn't endure 8C10 for long.

If it's HS3! Atobe vs 8C5! Akutsu then both can probably keep their serves and it becomes a battle of endurance. Akutsu was in 8C for a whole hour so I think he takes this one. Granted, when Atobe's time ran out he was still able to play short points, Akutsu fainted.

If it's Base! Atobe vs Base! Akutsu then Destruction allows the latter to win.

Does 8C even work on Atobe? Can't his insight see which shot Akutsu will use. Especially with Future Sight. Amadeus could rule out various positions and he doesn't have Atobe's insight. Plus Akutsu doesn't have an answer to Atobe Kingdom

Akutsu does have Destruction but I'd be surprised if HS3 Atobe Can't use the Super Sweet Spot

Amadeus' Darkness is some sort of Insight attack, though, and it had limits that Akutsu kept one-upping:

"He’s proud of his ‘Dark Side’ tennis, and he can easily return ‘Destruction’.
The composed and proud player is aware of the potential of younger players…!? His unwavering determination, unbreakable concentration and his ability to see through skills with his insight etc… are all at a high level. Regardless of nationality or age, he recognizes strength and is particularly fond of the talent of young players.
"

None of Atobe's shots seemed to be using the Super Sweet Spot. Nor were Romeo's own strikes reflected at any point. I do think that Atobe at HS3 might be able to do it but not the current one, so he's at a disadvantage if he doesn't use his Evolution.

8C counters Atobe Kingdom. Atobe needs to analyse several patterns at once. On top of that, Akutsu's tennis is formless thanks to his flexibility and he can attack from any angle.

Doesn't Atobe not need to analyse the attack patterns since he can just see into the future to see where the ball will go

I'm not sure that's a thing? Atobe evolved becuse he saw his own future self's skills and attack patterns, not someone else's. That one chapter does end with Atobe seeing that "he'll evolve infinitely" (which doesn't make sense).

@Hardy

Based on your arguments for Akutsu?

It seems like you have Akutsu as Japan's Strongest Mser so far.

It was stated that he can because in chapter 404 he saw that Romeo was able to evolve and return his world of ice. If he is able to predict that then he probably also can see Akutsu's attack patterns.

Difficult choice here. If Akutsu can maintain his 8C state for longer periods of time than Atobe with his Infinite Evolution he might win this but the thing is that Atobe keeps evolving constantly and eventually he would figure out how to deal with the copies of Akutsu with his Insight. If Akutsu collapses due to overusing it Atobe wins but if Akutsu can score points and force Atobe to keep using his evolution, Atobe’s body would crumble.
