No, I actually think Ochi wins thanks to the level he showed against Heracles.
He cannot use Mach Serve every service game, though, he'd get injured if he does. He can use the Smash version of it if an opportunity arises, however.
You’re severely underestimating Sanada, Sanada has a crapload of improved moves and with En he would blast Ochi away. I don’t think Sanada wouldn’t be able to eventually keep up with Ochi.

Thing is that Sanada was only just focused on that match to complete the triple clutch and managed to semi complete it by mixing the BA with his special shots. We don’t know if he hadn’t been that stubborn on completing it and used his other moves if he would have at least made Toku go completely serious.
Ochi has a high level of play and we still have yet to see his final match but Sanada shouldn’t be hopeless. As like Ochi has Mach and can rally at a high level Sanada has more power and can use that to his advantadge. Eventually Ochi would succumb to it I think. Even if not, Sanada is versatile enough to use his other moves if he has thrown away his philosophy of fighting his opponents head on.
Sanada mixing BA with RanShinEnPou would also be dangerous, I doubt Ochi can return them all if Sanada mixes his specials here and there. He is quite unpredictable now.
Stamina wise Sanada is superior too and power is Sanada’s forte and surpasses Ochi there. Mental and Speed are Ochi’s best bets but Sanada has power and speed for him. Also when activating Rai his speed will probably become a 7 or more but he can’t overuse it because of his legs.
I think Sanada has arguments for beating Ochi, he would fall for the mental assasination but I’m totally sure he would break it eventually.
I notice @Hardy is kinda low on Sanada than most people. hehe
he have Akaya over Sanada already. He also side with Shiraishi over him iirc. And he mentioned that he only won against Osval because of matchup advantage, and Camus stopping the ninja special move.
Having said all of that. i agree with him that Ochi will take this one. hehe

The whole point of that match was him getting rid of that stubbornness, though. It would be against its principle if Sanada had more in the tank and didn't bring it up (and also wouldn't match the comments on Duke vs Tokugawa being on another level).
I don't think Sanada is hopeless. The only match up I've done that I personally thought was one sided before it even started was Shiraishi vs Kirihara, and even then Konomi can just make up sth and change the winner there.
As far as we know their Stamina is the same (4 and 4). I can give Sanada the edge since the Msers developed more in the camp, but on the other hand we know that his best Specials take a toll on his Stamina and he cannot just spam them all the time, which likely levels the scenario. Also, Sanada needs much more leg work to win his service points and I don't see him winning rallies without his Specials, compared to Ochi that can Mach his way through.
Ochi showed in his match with Oishi that, even if he cannot hit 100% Machs every single game, he can still hit hard overheads, so he can probably alternate the 100% and the 60% version that Atobe and Niou could barely touch. Can Sanada return that one?
I think that both can keep their serves reliably, but at the end of the day the one that has the best odds to break or at least take it in a tie-break is Ochi.

I was 50/50 on Shiraishi and Sanada. I think the former had a better rally but the latter has (of course) much better Specials.
That's more of a dig I have against Osval than against Sanada. Even if he had data on all of Japan, the French rep barely got to show any sort of serious tennis, and Sanada removed his strongest Special out of the equation with Shadow (the same Special that likely got him the S2 spot).
I think it was base Irie lol. Kaji was shocked when Irie activated TnK against Atobe.
Kaji has only 1 more point in total compared to Ochi, though, and we know that peaks are better than being all rounded in many scenarios. Ochi has a 7 just like Kaji, but he has a 6 while Kaji does not. Ochi also seemingly got stronger recently and recovered "something he had lost" thanks to pairing up with Mouri.

Pretty sure Kaji is fully recovered.

I'm not sure comparing Irie and Ochi gets us anywhere in this match up, though.
Fully recovered to be destroyed by Base Oni and Base Irie. Both didnt use even TNK. Lol
That actually made genius #6-#10 look weak. Because Kaji was higher rank than them. Unless he was carried in doubles. For ex. If Kiratini (former #4) carried him. Lol
Off topic but I went back to those chapters and I did not remember Atobe actually keeping his serve against Romeo. I had thought Romeo activated Materializar in like the first game for a good while now, lol.

It was said that Oni caught Kaji by surprised with the Golden Jack Knife. He got injured before he had a chance to go all out.
I have no idea what happened with Irie, though. Really unfortunate that Konomi skipped that one completely. I assume it was 1-1 and Kaji forced Irie to go all out from that point on. Irie then won through the Mental disparity they have.

We are kinda going off topic. But to connect with Ochi.
I am struggling to see BASE IRIE 6-1 ing Ochi. (Heck, even Mouri)
But I guess Irie is really that strong where he can 6-1??!! Ohmagari, Kimijama Tohno, Ochi, and Mouri at BASE?
Wait No! impossible.
But he did it to Kaji who is #5. Is it posssible that Kaji is actually weaker than #6-10?
After all, it is not always accurate
Ryoga and Tokugawa held #4. We all knew they are in #1-#2 spot. Duke is #3, Oni is #5. But we all agree Oni Beats Duke. Tanegashima is #2, but most posters have Tokugawa over him.
Worst case scenario, Ochi loses 6-2 if Irie can consistently get clean returns against 60% Mach. Doesn't really tell us much.
Since we have Irie >= Yukimura >> Sanada I guess the comparison isn't worthless.
I don't mind having a big gap between the top 5 HSers and the rest, and Irie finding himself somewhere in the middle. The top 5 have ACE level and have shown to be able to fight head to head against the best players in the tournament, that also have a respectable level for Pros (Volk, Amadeus, Bismarck, Camus). Kiritani (maybe?), Kaji and Ohmagari being not as good is not really a dig towards them, and the latter compensates by being exclusively a doubles player.
I think the order of the HSers is fair. It just so happens that we don't know what happened to Oni, who is the one screwing up the order. There's a chance he exchanged badges with Byoudouin when he lost the number 1 spot and went down all the way to 5, then dropped that position immediately to strengthen Tokugawa and the 2nd string. It makes sense since we know him and Tanegashima always tied when they played each other.
Ochi at full power may had been in a similar situation compared to Irie.
