Oh, thanks ^^. But the story is certainly interesting, I guess. To be honest, out of all DBZ characters, I had wanted to know more about Bardock and he is considered as one of the characters I'm most interested in. I'm really glad Toriyama decided to work on Bardock's story.

"Episode of Bardock" was written by Ooishi Naho. She also wrote "Dragon Ball SD" and the manga adaptation of "Yo! Son Goku and His Friends Return!"

Rankings from 1996 - 2011 issue 30, shows which series has Lead CP but does not show which series have colour pages.

Change your encoding by going to View>Auto-Detect>Japanese. That's if you're using Firefox, but I'm sure Chrome, etc are similar.

But Toriyama was credited as "Director" so I'd say that Toriyama also had a hand in writing it. Wonder if we can accept this as canon though??

It's a what if story that ties in with a new Dragonball Z game, so it's not canon.

Since there's little to no contradiction to the original manga, I take both "Son Goku and his Friends" and "History of Bardock" as part of my personal fanon.

didn't like the oneshot. "the angel are bad"- thing reminded me of baynonetta, without the cool action sexy protagonist. satan was boring with his school weapons and his everyday confession. the other loser were really plain. it should take 500+ chapters to make him to someone thats able to confess, but that would take too long as that could be interesting.

hopefully the the other are better.

The art is neat, though it... felt kinda typical as far as crazy stylistic manga go, if that makes any sense?

Like it has a dynamic art style and everything, but it doesn't really do anything that a series like Soul Eater or Undead hasn't done either. It actually reminded me a lot of Undead in particular except way toned down.

Story and characters were pretty bland too, if it's gonna become a series it needs a lot of work IMO.

Lol... -SINS- was scanlated? What the... out of all the entries they picked the most crappy one? :/ Personally I read all entries up until now and I thought -SINS- was the only one that sucked ass.

Don't have a clear favorite yet, though. Tsukimi no Soba and Takamagahara both had some great parts and some aspects that were not so great. Murahagane was the same but I felt it was a little weaker than the other two. (Probably because half of the OS was just fighting with huge ass weapons... :/)

So far, my current favorite one shots in Golden Guture Cup were Takamagahara, Sins, and Murahagane. I liked how Kawai, the author of Takamagahara, used the parody of Picasso's work, so I looked forward if the author also do more parodies with famous artworks (if it get serialized). I liked Sins battle scene and weapon design; however, its artwork somehow reminds me Amano (author of Akaboshi). Murahagane's atmosphere and artwork reminds me 80s action manga and this is the part that I liked about.


Tsukimi no Soba is also nice, but I think it needs little bit more work.

D.Gray-Man much?Those designs reminded me of Hoshino's akuma,especially the akuma level 4,which looks like an angel.The toning and the use of white in the action scenes also reminded me of her style.
Well,it was not the best one-shot i read...

Did any other one-shots get scanlated?

The general idea of akuma angels killing humans by the order of the Millennium Earl Venus isn't very original. And the akuma angels look like they came straight out of DGM. There's even an order of exorcists who use their weapons to destroy the akuma angels. I know that recycling can be good (Dragon Ball is the ultimate proof of that), but seriously?

The art is kind of inconsistent. It reminds me of DGM, Tegami Bachi, Soul Eater, and Magico.

I already saw Ikkyuu crashing from a mile away. The riddles are too much for younger Jump readers (13-15) and they probably don't want a series that takes them too much to figure out. It's something that's better off in Sunday instead of Jump.
