i'm new here so i want to ask, is it usual for bleach to be low ranked like this?
No, it is like this since the new arc started. Judging by yearly manga sales and these Weekly ratings, chances are not low that BLEACH will lose its position as one of 3 most popular manga out there.

Interesting week for the Saturday Jump. It's really tough to say if Bleach is "out of the top 3" considering it's lackluster performance as of late since it's hard to say if it has to do with the new arc or not. Though...Mago's collapse could be bad for it but could help other series. (these things happen)

Boo Medaka appears to be stuck in another rut. It needs to get itself together.

Sket in the top 3? Thats the highest I have seen it in ages. I'm so happy for it.

Bleach's lackluster standing in relation to its contemporaries is justified. Its a joke that this nonsense has been allowed to play out for so long.

Things should be interesting when the new series finally start ranking and giving us a better look at how things are shaping up in the magazine.

wow naruto isn't at the top, i don't read Gintama but maybe i should since it got a very high rank without color pages or so.

i guess Naruto will be back to it's place once a good fight starts. the current fight is kinda boring.

i'm new here so i want to ask, is it usual for bleach to be low ranked like this?

Yeah, Naruto not getting #1 when One Piece gets color page is really really rare.
Bleach is usually top 5. And a few times in the year, it ranks a bit low. I think the lowest position I saw Bleach was 8th or 9th.

But Bleach is still the 3rd best seller of WSJ in tankobons and the smallest gap to the 4th one is about 200-250k copies.

If you have time, as i did during carnival (i hate it), you can check like 80% of the toc in 2008-2009-2010 in old threads. Look for closed threads in this section.

Well, Hunter x Hunter sells better than Bleach when it comes out. But yes, Bleach still sells well enough that it isn't in any real jeopardy at the moment.

I have a question. When I looked at preview for upcoming issue of Saikyo Jump, most of works from last issue will be included on upcoming issue; are these works going to be serialized in Saikyo Jump regularly?

I love the top 5 this week because it had variety. It's nice to see series that don't normally end up this high be in this position.

The KHR story looked as if it could continue as a running series so I think it could have the same/similar line-up. (This is just my assumption.)

Thanks for the info Negative....does this mean that there will be no issues of WSJ for the next two weeks?, since the March 28th one comes out on April 4th?

It means there's just no Jump next week. They're skipping just the one. The official street date of this week's is the 21st. The next would've been the 28th. The following is the 4th.

^ My friend is a huge Yu-Gi-Oh nerd so I'll happily pass on the news to him. :) Thanks!

I was expecting the delay to be weeks instead of one week. It's quite hectic in Japan with gas shortages so I'm glad there won't be any severe delays. Hopefully they'll be able to send the issues to children in the Touhoku in the future.

They've cited difficulty in securing materials like paper, fuel for transportation etc. If the shortages keep up, I imagine they will need to schedule even more delays later on...

There is also the golden week break, coming up in April/May, though, so there'll definitely be another "delay" (albeit already scheduled much earlier).

The shortage of fuel is a big problem so I can see why it's a severe setback for WSJ. Things might get back on track in summer, but there might be a lot of absent weeks in spring. :darn

I wonder if they'll move the Golden Week break to fit their schedule as it stands right now.

I don't mind that at all. What used to be a speedy process has slowed down remarkably so the magazine needs all the time it can get to produce the same quality as before.
