And the line "a new project of Nurarihyon no Mago" makes me wonder if it refers to have a 3rd season anime or now that it seems that the title and plot of "Nurarihyon no mago" is over, it (the story) could be continued from the point NnM point finish with another title... But I suppose it will be the first, more likely.
Best case scenario is that it is a sequel to NuraMago, especially if it gets published in the monthly magazine (not only does becoming a father make this possibly a wishful result but some stuff like the HM arc would have probably worked better there than here). Gokadoin Arc was definitely the end of Rikuo's story so I always expected that if it continued, it would continue as someone else's story... and thus a different Manga.

But whatever it may be a sequel or something completely else, I am looking forward to Hiroshi's next project.

I dunno what is going on with Bleach votes. I mean a lot of people may not like the series anymore but selling more than half a million volumes in 1 week has to count for something.

Not to mention all the shinigami appearances has to make some fans happy >.>^ Going by the -8 chapters,
Ichigo and co have just entered HM and Quilge is killing some hollows so that might explain the recent low rankings

Its like Kubo has become Togashi and his manga sells really well while his rankings are horrible as is the case with Bleach and Hunter X Hunter.

Well besides me complaining about that, I'm happy to see some new series so up high. Just wish Kurogane would get a boost.

I would find it pretty interesting if Naruto or One Piece ranked in the bottom 5. There would probably be mass outrage in the Internet and 4 chan lol.

Comparing Bleach to HxH is like an insult to HxH.

Anyway, I'll be looking forward to Ansatsu Kyoshitsu. It kinda reminds me of Saw for some reason.

Comparing HxH to Bleach is like an insult to Bleach <- (I don't believe in this statement at all nor the reverse) Starting flame wars aside it was an observation made by me based on what I've seen from the past few TOCs and when HXH was in the TOC which holds true for the most part.

Comments like yours serve no purpose than to instigate something. If you don't like a manga then thats on you. But I ask that most users here do not go sprouting crap like comparing 2 mangas is insulting to one specific manga they like when its their own opinion.

I just started reading Nura (2-3 chapters). I'm just making wild guesses and am no way right;

1)Since people think that there were too many plots left unexplained, it may as well be an error on the part of Shueisha....just like how they did with Claymore (very unlikely)

2)There's a mention of a new project, so it may be serialized in a different mag (SQ maybe?) with maybe a different title...that would be a boon for Nura fans :)

It seems really absurd for them to end it now....if they wanted to end it due to low TOC positions, they could have done it long time back. I have been following the TOC for almost a year and Nura has been consistently in bottom 5...and it survived due to the so called "Good Volume Sales" and which makes it even more absurd for Jump to cancel it, when you have low selling series like Magico.

Anyways if they can do it for Nura, I dont see why they cant do it for Reborn. Lets hope that it manages to stay away from bottom 5 and get a proper ending.

Damn Mago! THIS SERIOUSLY SUCKS. Now that I got that out may system. WTF BLEACH!? Seriously, the bottom again, I said I wasn't going to complain ever again about its position but the cancelling of Mago has me hyped. But come on, (am borrowing this Darjaille) theirownmissfornotreadingorlikingthecurrentarc

Well it seems that Magico will be the next one to go seeing it looks the story is wrapping itself up.

Mago will finish this monday but conclude in Jump NEXT!

NNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! and can I also say BOOOOOOOOOOO

I would be happy if they bring it back renamed with the same characters, that would be find by me. Ending it like this is just so wrong.

The Matsui series looks really....I think I'd be remiss to say 'good' until the raw hits, but 'interesting' seems to be a better assessment. I want to work on it, but I'm fairly sure with the speed that Jump manga get translated in comparison to everything else that I'll be beaten to the punch. I'll settle for reading it though~

I didn't read Mago much, so I can't comment on it. Although I'm only reading Bleach for the lulz now, and could really care less if it survives or not, that's...really low for it. It's a widdle early to say, but it seems like it's become the new Mago. Maybe Jump let Mago go now that it's got a replacement?

People don't vote for HxH because they know it will stay anyway. Their art is the opposite too, one put's heavy emphasis on the plot and will draw it like a "name" if he wants to, the other put's everything into art style.[I'm not bashing either. :P]

Once a fan base is build up over a couple dozen volumes, it's clear that it will sell well for the next couple of years too. In this case of the "one week" thing, it's obviously because it had an extra book[was it the novel or databook].

If Nurarihyon no Mago has really ended without a proper ending, no problem from me. The mangaka had it seen coming for a long time now. There is no reason to prolong a series just because it HAS many chapter, but a continuous bad rating. Once can see that every year with american series too.

Not in WSJ anymore, so it's a different case. You can be sure that Reborn will end soon too, the sales get worse and worse. At least we can see a goal/ending for Hatekyo within reach. Maybe the franchise didn't get big enough to support it much longer despite the sales figures.

I think the complaint is rather why doing a rush ending now after years of particular treatment. If the sales continued to be good it was probably because the readers believe shueisha would let finish this serie properly and this make it seems like the editor broke the deal. It would make more sense if the new project was the continuation of mago so as to end everything correctly.

I want a continuations of the story and I think it would make perfect sense to do so. If your officially ending the story the last chapter should be more than 20 pgs. giving the major characters time to shine.

Oh goodness, they really canceled Mago? It's been a low ranker for sure, but it was already in its final arc. They gave Enigma enough time to wrap up its final arc before giving it an epilogue chapter in NEXT, but now Mago has to wrap everything up in one 50 page chapter.

In other news, I hope Viz picks up Assassination Classroom for Alpha, now that Mago is gone.

Yeah you could tell Magico was about to be dead and gone by those rushed fights before the whole Anise drama started. I expect it gone in a few chapters. I can't say I'm too surprised about Mago. If anything since the trend was going on so long Hiroshi probably should have begun wrapping it up sooner but we will have to wait and see what this project is. I swear if I get another Jump cast off in Jump SQ I will be irate. Kurogane will likely be taking the lowest spots with those two out of the picture soon.

As for the rest of the ToC, really happy with Nisekoi and Sket Dance in the top 5 with Kuroko getting a nice rank too. Once again, not surprised by Bleach's ranking since this is where it should have been years ago. Despite that it will manage to coast along until Jump or Kubo pulls the plug. Kind of sad about Pajama's ranking. I can understand a bit why its there but I admit I'm pulling for it to rise up a bit.

Also the Medaka color did not disappoint one bit.

There is no reason to prolong a series just because it HAS many chapter, but a continuous bad rating.
From the top selling 2011 and first half 2012 lists, here's how just Jump's list looks:

01. One Piece (37,996,373)
02. Naruto (6,874,840)
03. Toriko (4,665,634)
04. Gintama (4,415,491)
05. Bakuman. (4,399,938)
06. Bleach (4,187,258)
07. Sket Dance (3,157,012)
08. Hunter X Hunter (2,922,876)
09. Nurarihyon no Mago (2,853,552)
10. Beelzebub (2,607,474)
11. Katekyo Hitman Reborn! (2,550,542)
12. Kuroko no Basuket (1,712,983)
13. Medaka Box (1,111,444)

01. One Piece (13,833,116)
02. Naruto (3,081,822)
03. Hunter×Hunter (2,721,003)
04. Bakuman (1,986,502)
05. Kuroko no Basket (1,969,727)
06. Toriko (1,655,367)
07. Gintama (1,617,572)
08. Bleach (1,499,322)
07. SKET Dance (1,493,600)
08. Nurarihyon no Mago (1,186,572)
09. Katekyo Hitman Reborn! (998,116)
10. Beelzebub (847,868)

8th best selling currently running series in Weekly Jump (7th if you consider Bakuman having ended) is something most people would consider reason to prolong the series despite continuously "bad" ratings. Granted for the 2012 list I don't know offhand which series had 2 volumes released, and which had 3, and this doesn't factor in profits from merchandising, but I really have difficultly seeing Reborn for example being more profitable than Nurarihyon at this point.

Did you read my post, Reborn is clearly moving towards it's conclusion, as I read here Mago did not[imo], so there you have a reason. Stopping a series a couple volumes before it's ending naturally and being still quiet open.

We don't know if there will be some kind of continuation or not. If we knew how exactly the editors chose which series to cancel, there wouldn't be much of discussion here. :D And it would be lame ont top of that too.

From what i have understood mago was also in its final stage. When i stopped it a few months ago the last enemy battle was in preparation. That's why it is a decision that seems really weird
