I liked the art,but in my opinion there was too bloodshed

The oneshot was pretty nice, pretty dark and a bit wtf at times. Would love to see how this would turn out in a short series of like 2 volumes or maybe even more.

I don't have a problem with the blood, if you remember the one shot Akage no Achou that was published in wsj in March it was very bloody as well, but iirc the reception for it was very good.

my problem with it is the text! there's way too much text in it imo, most of the speech bubbles have a page worth of text in it

i feel sorry for the poor viz translator that will have to do this one

I really have no pity for them as one of the Gintama translators for the last few years. When they go back and finish that series properly then we can talk about feeling sorry for Viz.

Just seems like something that just doesnt belong in manga. Why does everything have to be bloody, incredibly mature, and incredibly dark? I dont think there is an audience for this stuff. I miss the days of good storytelling.

I think there's a minimum amount of text per page that has to be fulfilled before a series can get serialized on Jump+. Either that or it's just an average between all the series, which would basically let Ana no Mujina take care of everyone else's quota.

abandoning gintama was a complete **** move, the didn't give us a reason or anything & don't give me "no one was buying the volumes" excuse, I know a lot of the people who were buying them.

& for what it's worth, i feel sorry for gintama translators & kusuo saiki translators too, those series must be a nightmare, not only they are text heavy, but the translator must be very familiar the Japanese pop culture to get the reference jokes & then try to communicate that to the readers while keeping the joke funny

Ana no Mujina is basically jump plus Gakkyuu Houtei

all the way from the crime solving theme, to the mc that can't decide whether the color of his hair will be blonde or brunette so he decided to go with both

People were talking about how Shueisha should release One Piece in kanzenbans, but the things is those are reserved for finished manga, the only exception being Bastard!

As for re-editions, as dar as I know One Piece has tankobon, remix and soushuhen released, but no bunkoban, apparently manga whose tankobon sold really well didnt need a bunkoban release, Shueisha just prefered to sell the tabkoubons..
That's why most of the most popular series either never had bunkobans like Dragon Ball or Slam Dunk or got a bunkoban release waaaay later after they had finished like Rurouni Kenshin, Yu yu hakusho and Dr. slump.

So tl, dr Shueisha wont print One Piece in other editions (especially bunkobans which are aimed to people that had not bought the manga , which is what the LOGs do anyway, or kanzenban which is for 'collectors' or people that already owns the tankobon editions and will double dio..
They wont do that until they see the tankobons stop selling, Then they will try to get more fans (bunkobans which are xheaper.. Again LOGs already kinda do this..) and/or get older fans to double dip (with deluxe editions/kanzenbans )

It is the first ranking. This week was chapter 6, the spoiler is for chapter 7 and it says next issue(chapter 8) is the color page. Not usual but happened with Psyren and ST&RS

Who knows? Could be accurate. Guess we'll just have to see the full ToC + Preview on Thursday.
