Lady Justice in the bottom five but not last.
Devily Man dropped like some people said it would.

It seems to me viz is at least considering to include Best Blue. The survey question about sports manga was quite conspicuous

5. Would you like to see more sports manga like Best Blue?

And why?
It is a typical Ganbatte-sports manga so far. Nothing much happened in the first chapter. For once I liked it that an introduction chapter wasn't packed full of new characters and twists. However I don't think swimming is a very appealing theme for a sport manga. It might be another Fujioshi title but the first title didn't give me that impression.
As far as I can tell, Hinomaru ZUmou is the best sports title since Eyeshield 21. Best Blue might have to step up the game if it does not want to rely on the fujyoshi-fanbase. Anyways, it is a tad unfair to judge a manga solely based on the first chapter

I pretty much agree with you except on the best sport title thing (well, I think any topic can be good for a shounen manga too, but that's another thing), I never read Eyeshield, but I think Haikyuu is probably the best sports manga in Jump of the 2010's (so far), I mean, for me, it doesn't seem to have such a deliberate appeal to the fujoshi market (though, as any good shounen sports series, it ends up appealing to that fandom one way or another) and it's actually pretty realistic for a Jump series

Don't get me wrong, I like all the sports series in the current Jump (Haikyuu, Hinomaru, SujiPin, and Best Blue), and while Hinomaru has a lot of really cool parts, it just isn't that exciting as a whole as Haikyuu

With all that said, I don't understand why some people are bashing Best Blue, as I said before, I actually liked the first chapter, Hirakata's artwork is actually fitting for the genre and the overall story so far looked like a good mid-point between Free and Haikyuu (I mean, the MC and the coach are pretty much Hinata and the coach from Haikyuu and the whole island setting and some of the character designs in the CP remind me of Free characters), and I think that's quite good, because both are IPs that sell a lot in every possible way

And you know, I'm actually beginning to think that the series people go out of their way to bash here because of reasons like these are the ones that will actually survive in Jump (*cough* Black Clover *cough*)

If you didn't read ES21 I highly recommend it, especially if you like sport series where things are actually thought out and the asspull level is very low. I watched the anime before reading the manga and as such spoiled myself some of it's nature but then the manga depicting in the manga of struggles, running in general and of course extremely likable characters, not to mention growth of each of the characters made me read the whole thing from the beginnng in a week.

As I didn't read Best Blue yet, I can judge nothing but a story in my mind and the art which seems better than Kiruko yet once it reaches the first ranking and scans might do it I'm curious to see where will the author take it

like Sesuji wo Pin! to and Hinomaru Zumou? well, both are doing pretty good so far, is much more easy to a manga like Best Blue be popular that a dance and sumo manga. Hinomaru Zumou is a great manga but has nothing different or outstanding compared to other same great sports mangas, is the same thing, the same male character, same plot, same development, same cliches and etc, the only thing is that don't has much characters to make girls fall in love. Like i said, is a great manga, is a shame that sells that poor, but is basically the same thing like all others but with a different sport, and obviously more realistic than mangas like Kuroko, but is technically the same level with Haikyuu, but personally i like Haikyuu much more

I don't Hate Best Blue, also I don't have a bad think about that, only is a green first chapter in my opinion, but it has potential.

HQ is great and so far I really like the Dance Manga and I agree to your points. As someone who is really into sport mangas I m not looking for "unique" elements under every stone . In my opininon Hinomaru Zumou just does an excellent job in conveying an intense "sports feeling" that keeps you reading. It has got "don"-moments. It is a simple concept but the author is really good in what he is doing - that is my reason for calling out Hinomaru Zumou as the best sports manga since Eyeshield 21 in Jump. HQ steps more into the shoes of a title like Slam Dunk which I really appreciate and I m seeing it as different kind of sports manga.
Regarding Best Blue, I think it is very difficult to portray a non-team sport title in Jump that does not have a compelling technique (in a sense Hikaru no Go was also a sports manga) but I guess that is the reason the author wants to introduce swimming in relay teams.

I also agree with everything that you said, i really like Sesuji, was a big surprise for me, i also very into sport mangas, for me Shonen Jump could have even more mangas. I not exactly look for "unique", i love the base and simple structure of sports mangas, but obviously that the manga need to be fresh and have a good and solid story and characters, what happens with Hinomaru and Haikyuu, Sesuji until the moment. I agree about Hinomaru Zumou and also Haikyuu, actually one of the reasons that i like Haikyuu more is what you said about following Slam Dunk, Slam Dunk is my favourite sport manga, and in my top 3 of best mangas ever, so i always got that "Slam Dunk" feelings with Haikyuu, what i love.

I will read Best Blue today, but only looking the raws, i'm already excited to follow the manga, but swimming has teams in school competitions, not only solo.

I did part, I talked a lot about in the survey. But my post was deleted here. Anime Expo was such a disappointment. It's a shame this magazine doesn't have at least one sports series. Perfect time to announce Haikyuu with the anime coming back.

It's kinda ironical how Black Clover is lower when it has color pages than when it doesn't

It's not. The mangas that receive color pages cannot be too close to each other.
