I think we've still yet to see properly if this huge batch will be good for new series or not. We've seen a few different times that it can take a while for stuff to get going and gather a solid fanbase and a big batch of new series could be great for that. The complete failures drop to the bottom right away which will keep the stuff with at least some fans high up enough to survive a round or two, giving them some time to figure out what the readers want to see and potentially rise up to a safer spot in the rankings.
This you are describing doesn't exist in Jump. They never gave enough time for any series, if it doesn't go well enough in the magazine, it will be cut out as soon as possible.

That's what I'm saying, there are series that would normally have been cancelled right away that will have a bit more time due to others from the batch filling up the space below it and being cancelled first, giving them more time to find their feet and figure out what works (like Spring Weapon seems to have done).

From what I can tell, Tabata's drawing of HeroAca doesn't look so good.

Hori's Asta and the black haired dude do look like Bakugou and Aizawa lol, but still looks great. Who do you guys think has the worst case of "same-face syndrome"? Jump artists of course

Ashihara. It's one of the main reasons I dropped World Trigger. It's worse there since there are so many characters introduced.

Honestly, you're going to come across "Same-Face Syndrome" from almost any artist who doesn't use a somewhat realistic drawing style. I think Oda avoids it by using really goofy designs.

Idk who does it worse, but I think Akira Toriyama made good use of it and created an iconic style. And currently I think Horikoshi's Art style and character designs are so strong you barely notice that a lot of his drawings have same face

Yeah, after my second time reading through the series I probably remember a single digit number of actual names to go with the =3= now. The hiatus hasn't really helped, maybe I should give it a third reading when/if it comes back.

I think it's mainly his use of coloring. MHA is a very color manga(in its color pages that is). Horikoshi's method of coloring is digital paint, which allows his colors to pop and look super vivid, and have an American comic feel.

Tabata looks like he colors with markers, like most traditional manga artist, and markers don't really do the charcater designs of MHA Justice when we already know how it looks drawn by Horikoshi.

Honestly, it makes me appreciate how Horikoshi colors his manga a lot more.

beside Ashihara there are Tabata, Shun and Komi

I think Komi even admitted he can't tell the differences between the girls in Nisekoi in one of his authors' comments

I don't want to see how Uraraka looks like in Tabata art style from close. It will traumatize me forever by what I can see in the thumbnail.

Not the "worst" kind of same-face syndrome, but still quite bothersome: Oda about many of his female characters. Several of 'em look like Nami. Doesnt help, that his skills to write women are disappointing sometimes.

Saw the Cover of Black Clover characters drawn by Horikoshi, but where can I see the MHA cover drawn by Tabata?

You can see it at the bottom of the magazine cover. That's the best view we have of it at the moment.

From what little I can make out of Tabata's MHA picture it looks closer to water color paint. I know they usually us Copic Markers but the picture makes it look like paint to me. Since Horikoshi borrows heavily from western comics it makes since he'd go with a darker color pallet for his art, because it gives the setting a somewhat darker more realistic tone to MHA while Tabata's lighter more traditional color pallet works better for the fantasy type setting Black Clover has.

(To be honest I much prefer the more traditional coloring of Black Clover over the digital coloring of MHA)

What's funny is that Hori's coloring was not good in the beginning of the manga but he improved tremendously as he went on where now I actually look forward to his color pages now same with his volume covers. Tabata definitely uses watercoloring, his spreads remind me a lot of early Naruto in that regard where the rough exterior of the manga was highlighted before it got way too clean.

I don't think the full image is out yet, but you can see the thumbnail size in the Jump Giga cover.
Judging by the tiny image, Bakugo and Deku look fine, basically how I expected them to look, although I wish Tabata tried to keep a bit of the circular shape of Deku's eyes. But holy shit is that Ochako bad. She lost all the cute fluffiness that made her so charming and now she looks like a skeleton. 10 bucks if he forgot the finger pads.
Hori's renditions of Noelle and Yuno were good (I'm torn between his and Tabata's), but he really made Asta look charming instead of annoying. Can't really fix his character itself though. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

On the topic is these artist crossovers, why doesn't Jump do these more often? Are they expensive to print? It's cool to see different artists' take on other characters, like the anniversary specials they did for One Piece, Naruto, and Dragon Ball. They should do more pair crossovers like this Tabata x Hori one. Think of the possibilities. RoboLaser x Zumou, Study-koi x Yuragi, RoboLaser x Haikyuu. What crossovers would you guys like to see?

Take more time and they're suppose to be for special occasions wouldn't really be all that fun if they did it all the time. One Piece should be getting another one of these this year for its 20th anniversary.
