So Kimetsu got a website, does that mean it'll get an anime sooner than TPN/YnY? Unless those series got their websites.

Happy about the 1.5 million copies print notice. Im excited to see how volume 7 will perform. It's been increasing at a good rate so far.

Well, I sure don´t want Toei or Pierrot doing Kimetsu. But a series that needs more substance to be more than "just another shonen action series" IMO doesn´t need Bones, Madhouse, Production IG or Wit Studio. Shonen series these days are too busy folowwing the footsteps of the Big 3 and Dragon Ball, and unless they do better storytelling than that, none of the big studios should touch them. Sword Art Online is all style no substance, so I don´t want Black Clover or Kimetsu to be defined by that.
I have no idea what you're even trying to argue here lol

Also, prepare to be "scared" because My Hero Academia will feature an anime original episode. Im my opinion, this one comes too late, there were a lot of chances to put anime original material on the Sports Festival Arc, and extending the screentime of a few manga panels it´s not the same for me, nor is it enough creative liberty. I don´t want My Hero to stick completely to the manga content, given that they haven´t bothered to give more screentime to some of the supporting characters.
Why exactly do you want anime original content again? To give more character to the supporting cast? Because they basically do that by fleshing out the minor panels. If they constantly did anime original content, it would only cause the story to move slower. Not much happens as it is in the early arcs, so your precious filler would only be a detriment to the anime as a whole.

And no, the pacing shouldn´t matter in an anime adaptation, so don´t put the claim of "but muh pacing!!!!!!!".
You do realize that the pacing was a big problem of the first season right, as well as a problem for other anime like SnK and One Piece? And let's not forget the whole "five minutes until Namek explodes" thing. Pacing can actually be a real issue.

By the way, putting "muh" before a valid argument doesn't suddenly invalidate that argument, it just makes you look dumb.
muh anime original content! muh filler! muh shit taste!
See? I can act like an idiot too.

It´s only a detriment to those who want a faithful, 1:1 copy adaptation. It´s not a detriment to anything else. Pacing it´s a problem when you don´t have anything to fill dead time with. In the case of MHA´s 1st season, there were a couple of instances whre original content would have benefitted instead of "slowing down the pacing" like you say. But then again, hardcore anime viewers don´t know what is an adaptation. They thing a copy 1:1 is the only type of adaptation that should be made for an anime being good, and that´s hypocrite.

MHA S2 already isn't a 1:1 adaptation though. Saying it's somehow too late in the season to do anime original content is ridiculous. Hell, an entire sequence in the latest episode was original.

Oh really? You're welcome to share any examples and ideas you have on your mind.

Do you even know what a hypocrite is?

At this point I firmly believe Tadahiro has a roulette wheel with 3 options on it, and every week he throws a dart at it.

- Develop the current harem members chapter:XD
- Develop the protagonist chapter :hip
- Add more girls to the current pool :derp

But like I said, extending a panel, A panel, of the manga into 10 seconds of animation still falls under the 1:1 copy adaptation process. I think episode 19 will be truly original material, unless you can describe what was original content before?

I actually agree with you, but now with an anime original episode it truly isn't 1:1 anymore. Your hopes have been answered for MHA at the least. I'll leave it at that.

The use of "pool" in the bolded phrase is interesting. It is a allusion of bikinis or the lack thereof? :derp
These three types of chapters is true for almost all harem manga, really. Nisekoi had this pattern, "We Never Learn" has this pattern, although both has a small harem, I don't know about Yuragi harem size.

Likely it'll get one before Neverland, unsure about YnY yet but Shueisha's been promoting Kimetsu more than it so possibly.
It's the first series to get a website separate from the shonen jump official site though. Neverland has an "official website" connected to the SJ official site already.

Why people defend toei? I mean you really have to be blind to not see how bad they are. Everything they touch die.They war good in the 60s but not now.
Interestingly, 5 decades after being good they are still here. And are still the best!

Interestingly the big boom of weekly shonen Jump started in 1981 with Toei Animaiton Dr. Slump. Unfortunately they weren't good anymore at that point :(

I don't know about the other people who are defending quality besides me, but I was thrashed many times in this forum for pursuing quality over anything. People seems to not understand the concept of quality and that success doesn't mean quality.
I do understand what was said about Kimetsu no Yaiba, you guys wants the exposure that comes with having an anime by Toei, I got it. Part of us however cares more about the quality of the animation than the overall success of the anime and, let's be honest, it should be the first worry of who's going to watch the anime, but anyway, and Toei proved many times that it can't do a good job animation-wise. We can debate here all week about this, but in the end we will see who has the best point of view when the anime comes out. One fact, though, is that the most successful animes from Jump series recently was non-Toei and all of them had a huge success with good reviews about the animation, which is the best outcome possible. A series doesn't need Toei exposure to make success, even more when it is coming from Jump so I think you guys should have a little more confidence that Kimetsu no Yaiba will make success, no matter who picks it.
You're confusing and merging different ideas.

.Quality
.Quality of animation
.Quality of the anime

They aren't the same thing! I know strange isn't it.

Question do you even know the difference between Quality and Craftmanship? Because it seems you're conflating both of them. And even about craftmanship you just looking at a small part of it.

Also

.Experience of watching the anime -> Assuming that it mainly due to your "animation quality" is wrong. A stickman series with flash animation can bring more enjoyment than a AAA animation movie.

.Success doesn't mean quality -> This argument. No body said they are synonyms. But you know what? Eating a lot also doesn't mean You're Fat, that doesn't mean that Fat and Eating doesn't have a strong relationship.

.Good reviews about the animation = best outcome possible. -> The best outcome for a series is its review? O_O

Jump recent most successful animes are One Piece and Dragon Ball Super. What other recent jump series had/have more success? My Hero Academia, Shokugeki no Soma, PSI Kusuo no Sainan, HunterxHunter, Gintama, Nisekoi, Haikyuu?

what makes you think Toei is the only option for the amount of exposure/money?
1. Nobody argued about that.
2. Toei is in fact the best in the amount of exposure/money. And it been like that since it created the big boom of Weekly Shonen Jump, when created Dr. Slump anime.

Toei killed the Toriko anime for me with censoring the violence, adding a permanent anime original character and the shitty anime original ending.
Toei is dead for me and I wish for no manga to have the misfortune to be adapted by this studio.

First, are you trying to use bullet points with the periods.
  • Because there's a button for that.

This is true.
it created the big boom of Weekly Shonen Jump, when created Dr. Slump anime.
Could you source this please? I thought the boom wasn't until the 90s.

Before Dr. Slump little anime was ever adapted from manga in any place, specially in Weekly Shonen Jump. After the Huge Popularity of Dr. Slump, that was in 1981, Toei Animation started making Jump adaptation one after the other and other studios rapidly jumped to the hype ship.
During that Time Toei Animation had around 3 or 4 anime adapted from Weekly Shonen Jump running at the same time:

Toei Animation WSJ series release year:
1981 -> Dr. Slump
1982 ->
1983 -> Kinnikuman, Hibari-Kun
1984 -> Wingman, Hokuto no Ken
1985 ->
1986 -> Dragon Ball, Ginga: Nagareboshi Gin, Saint Seiya
1987 -> Hokuto no ken 2
1988 -> Sakigake!! Otokojuku
1989 -> Dragon Ball Z
...

This was the start of the Boom in Manga Adaptation to Anime and Weekly shonen Jump start of the Golden Era.

For what you're saying you kept until the ending of the anime. So certainly the censoring of the violence and the permanent anime original character weren't that bad. And the shitty ending, was just what ... 3 episodes, so basically "the end".

I saw the PV and it was meh. I think TPN PV was much better than KnY's. They could've showed a bit more.
Likely it'll get one before Neverland, unsure about YnY yet but Shueisha's been promoting Kimetsu more than it so possibly.

Then maybe Neverland may get an anime first?

Well all I hope for is a 2 cour & a good staff/studio. 1 cour could very well work but I prefer 2 cour.

I dropped it after the miserable Ice Hell arc Toei created. One of Toriko's best moments, punching Tommyrod with the remains of his left fist, was censored with endless smoke. From what i heard and a 5 minute research on Youtube the Toriko vs Starjun fight is even worse. In the manga Toriko lost an arm and leg in that fight and both of them dropped an ocean worth of blood, but in the anime there isn't even one drop of blood nor any limbs lost. What kind of adaptation is that supposed to be, because it sure as hell isn't a faithful one.
Maybe for you the character and censoring wasn't bad, for me both of them were unnecessary shit.
So just because it was a short ending it wasn't bad? It was pure garbage with the Infinity Kugi Punch, which was created by eating all the enemies up until the Four Beasts, defeating Joa. Toriko's Infinity Kugi Punch isn't even Toriko's strongest attack and he had to eat AIR to get the power to use that, one of the Food Treasures, but the anime says "ok, eating a few <350 Level ingredients has the same effect as a Food Treasure".

No, what I was getting, and got, is that you're saying you left Toei because of things that don't make much sense. Or you saw everything of the series, and so the two first things didn't really killed the series and the studio for you. Or you saw everything and only gave up of the series and studio due to the last 3(or around that) episodes. I gave you the benefit of the doubt, and assumed you watched everything.

So the main infringement was the censorship for you, OK. Still remember that more people were willing to follow the less Graphic and Gore version than the one that had all of that. A lot of people in general doesn't like Gore and Blood, and majority of Toriko fans are Kids and always were(Either you like it or not, that is a fact) and obviously parents will not want their sons to see that amount of Gore, Violence and Blood.
And Adaptation isn't a exact copy and there are things more important than even adapting everything correctly!

I don't remember it that vivedly, with was a good 3 years, 2014, but Toriko didn't defeated Joa because he ate all the food until the Four Beasts. The temporary powerup he got in the manga against starjun, in the anime it was bigger and he got a power-up transformation. In that transformation he used the gormet cells of the creatures he had consumed and used those creatures attacks.
The problem of the last episodes, wasn't even Toriko against Joa, that stuff was done better, in terms of power-ups, than the final of the manga. Where They were able to fight against Joa, Neo, Acacia, and the evolved versions of Neo and Acacia. And that all with multiple powerups.
No, the problem of the last episodes was how they treated Granny Tetsuno and Jirou. They made them loosing against Teppei.

Other than that, the other problem was expecting to see what was in the manga and getting original content that highly diverged of the source material, basically a notice that the series was ending and the possibility of returning was almost zero.
