Pretty sure there has been one, just not one that I think was popular enough for people to remember. A big part of shounen manga characters is their hair after all. I remember reading somewhere that a good main character design is one you can recognize from a silhouette.

You see in various places talking about that.Though is not about the main character, but any character design and started with Disney.

Original Kinnikuman isn't exactly a series people are flocking back to watch, it's understandable that a lot wouldn't know.

Even in his mask though he still has that skin mohawk thing which isn't the same as a shiny bald head.

Isn't the main character from Isobe not completely bald? I thought he had hair on the side of his head. Also, thanks for telling me where I read that, I couldn't remember for the life of me.

I'm pretty sure that if someone tried to make a bald main character they would get called out for trying to copy One Punch Man lol. You can't really make them look different unless they had really different eyes or body build.

Kinnikuman could use a reboot. There's so much content they can adapt & Toei went on some BS filler ending for Ultimate Muscle I think.

but seriously, the Edited Manga for the manga comes out once every blue moon, the subtitles for the anime comes out once every blue, so how are people that can't speak Japanese supposed to get into it if they never watch it when in first aired on tv in the region they live in?

speaking on nostalgia boners, my cousin recently gave me some o his anime dvd and all of them are titles from mah childhood, I almost cried like an insane person (Yaiba, Tekken Chinmi, Ginga Sengoku Gunyuuden Rai, Dodge Danpei, Mashin Eiyuuden Wataru, Dash Yonkuro)

speaking of Dash Yonkuro did you know its manga is getting rebooted by Shaman King's Takei?
he must be insane thinking he can remake perfection, like go draw Shaman King or whatever dude
