Maybe, but statistically speaking, veterans get cancelled just as often as newbies, if not more tbh."One-hit wonder" is almost a Jump policy.
Indeed, but I don't remember the last time that 3 veterans were serialized in a row. Also they were not that famous as THESE 3.

The last "really" famous mangaka was Matsui Yuusei and we know how it ended =)

that's funny because most of the users are saying it's okay or even interesting/enjoyable
Most of users are not like the people of this particular forum, that are members of Manga Editors and familiar dealing with new series. Not that "our" opinion is better, but at least people here are not only readers...

Doesn't matter what people here think about the series...since only Japanese readers that can choose whatever the series "stay" or "getting canceled"
well it does for this side of the world readers. Since people here as pretty much the responsible for bringing the series to them they getting canceled in the future in Japan, or not.

I have to disagree with this. The only veteran that is still fresh on reader's mind is probably Fujimaki. Extra Game plus the Movie coming out in March,2017.

Eyeshield21 ended on 2009 (almost 8 years gap from Jump), and Inagaki hasn't create anything else after that. Heck, when people mentioned Eyeshield21, Yusuke Murata is the first thing that come to mind, not Inagaki. Bocchi is a seinen author. Murata even shines now with the redraw of One Punch Man. Heck, you can say that he has to build up his fanbase from square one.

Tamura is a wild card, his series only ended 2 years ago. Plus he wrote a one shot last year.

About Matsui, he attracted an ENTIRE new audiences. Neuro helps him a bit. But there is no way Neuro's audience help him achieve First volume with 300,000 print copies. It's the NEW READERS.

Not trying to prove you wrong. Dr Stone is my most look forward to from the batch (Eyeshield21 is one of my favorite manga). But you seriously cannot sleep on these rookies (maybe leave U19 out).

Definitely don't think Beelzebub was a big enough success to assure Tamura an automatic hit .

Stone is based off of the mangaka and Boichis art

Suddenly everybody is a time traveler and can say which will be successful :teehee.

Boichi's art doesn't mean jack if he has to draw 2 weekly series/month. Plus it has to adapt to SHOUNEN's art style, not the usual seinen he worked with.

There was just a whole debate above about veteran vs. rookie authors, I don't know much but it was informative. Can't call anything successful until it drops and the first couple chapters are a hit.

I don't think Eyeshield 21 is fresh enough for a lot of the kids reading Jump now to care about its writer coming back. I'm sure they're people who care, but I don't think he has the same respect and recognition as say someone like Kishimoto. If Kishimoto came back to jump I'd say it would be more likely that he succeeds than fails.

And Obata is a hugely respected manga artist with at least 3 hits in the magazine. However, School Judgement still got axed in 23 or so chapters. Him having 3 previous big hits doesn't and being a beast of an artist doesn't gurantee him a hit.

I'm predicting Dr.Stone will be good and survive too. But for all we know We Can't Study, Poro and U19 could all succeed while all 3 veterans get axed

Its just a fun prediction that I whole heartedly believe. Knowing how impactful his art is and the person writing the story.

I don't know how the VETERANS will handle themselves... But I just can't see these rookies beating them... It's as simple as that...

Also... Tamura, Inagaki and Tadatoshi need to screw things hardcorely to not mantain a serialization in the same magazine that now has:

HZ, Saiki, Samon-kun wa Summoner and Kimetsu no Yaiba...

I'm not saying that because they are already "famous"... But because they have experience.

I just don't get the standpoint that the veterans are automatically better than the newbies without reading all 6.(especially given that despite Beelzebub being good, I definitely wouldn't say Tamura is a writing genius that always release gold, based on Beelzebub alone)

I never said that they have any advantage or that are "better"... Just more experienced and I personally am looking forward them...

Already thought that the newbies would not be able to provide what I particularly like in manga (I generally prefer adventure,action/mystery) themes... Never liked escolar or romcom.

I find funny seeing "veteran vs rookie", in what way we refere a rookie ? If it's a returning author Boichi is a rookie and if we talk about a new author , the nisekoi spin off author have writing manga the same time that tamura.
And with all the problem, I still think the new tamura's manga look better than the three rookies.
Also... Tamura, Inagaki and Tadatoshi need to screw things hardcorely to not mantain a serialization in the same magazine that now has:

HZ, Saiki, Samon-kun wa Summoner and Kimetsu no Yaiba...
The heck? Kimetsu is still selling and reprinting his previous volume , It isn't a bad seller.
Also , one day all people will know the difference between a gag manga like Saiki/Issobe/Bobobo/Jaguar and the other manga in jump.

And Obata is a hugely respected manga artist with at least 3 hits in the magazine. However, School Judgement still got axed in 23 or so chapters. Him having 3 previous big hits doesn't and being a beast of an artist doesn't gurantee him a hit.
Obata was a +10 year veteran with arround 7 failure in his back when he serialize Hikaru no go.

There is nothing wrong with that. You feel free to predict whatever you want. But there are two things you need to keep in mind before the first chapter dropped.

1. Boichi's impactful art is from SEINEN series. Who know if he can adapt it to Shonen's style. Or i'm wrong and he is another Takehiko Inoue who can change artstyle at will.
2. Boichi has to draw 2 weekly series. Who know if he has a capability of that. Or i'm wrong and he is a robot like Hiro Mashima.

Fair enough, different strokes for different folks :verily. And escolar means fish and it has nothing to do with manga genere :derp

Its all subjective friend. All your points imo isn't gonna make a difference to how readers see his drawings. I'm not gonna sit here and act like I know everything about Japan and WSJ, it's just a feeling I have based on some variables

I'm talking about him being a veteran after Hikaru No Ho, Death Note, and Bakugan. I'm saying that the fact that he had 3 hits in the magazine didn't gurantee that all his following series would also be a success

G_I_A has assured to us U19 is an immediate flop so we don't have to worry about that

Still a veteran. And this is the proof what I said some pages ago... "I prefer a possible failure from a veteran than a 100% failure from a rookie".

I'm sorry. I generally am translating stuff while commenting here haha... In portuguese escolar means literally "school life", at least for genre.

G_I_A has assured to us U19 is an immediate flop so we don't have to worry about that
Do you wanna bet, sir?
