tbh I'm disappointed at Hungry Marie and RxL formula. They don't challenge themselves. Hungry Marie has Beel's cast, and RxL has KnB's cast. It's like they both playing safe and hoping for old fans to catch on, and they success at that. It took me 4 chapters but I'm finally enjoying Hungry Marie, and RxL looks like a cool series to read. To me personally, I would like to see authors challenge themselves.

What I mean by challenge themselves

Death Note to Bakuman

Dr.Slump to Dragonball

Leader Takeshi to Toriko

Eyeshield21 to Dr.Stone

Each part of JoJo

Funny, but both are from Square. the Niso Isin and Akatsuki Akira that bought us Medaka Box, and the now Shounen Shoujo. Medaka box had its flaws, and went on for too long, but it was a good concept and had some amazing characters (Kumagawa being one of my favourite villains of all time). I love Akatsuki's art style too. Shounen Shoujo was wacky, but the premise kind of made it a failure before it began.

Also the obvious Ohba/Obata duo with Platinum End. I actually quite enjpy it unlike most people, but its nothing compared to their other 2 series which are some of my favourites ever.

Does Kimetsu No Yaiba have low sales because of its art? If it had a better art at first, would it be more successful?

Sorry for my bad English.

Granted on the Bulge point.
However they waited till after the third volume was released, not the first.
I recall it being added around chapter 20 or so but maybe I'm mistaken

I hope Dr. Stone and Hungry Marie survive.
RxL was very generic. I'd rather have the humor from Hungry Marie over that.

To me RxL and Dr. Stone are safe... My doubts are Hungry Marie and Poro.

hello ( sorry for my bad english ) it's been a while that I am wondering about something concerning tite kubo... as i see in every manga running in shonen jump, even if it was a small one ( not successful work ),when the manga ends, they write in the last page of the last chapter ( thank you so much for reading blablabla ) but in the last chapter of bleach that didn't happen. does anyone here have an answer or explanation for that? or does it mean that kubo is not going back to jump again ?

I remember that being quite controversial in the Bleach fandom when the last chapter came out. To answer your question I have never seen there not be a message at the end of a series in Jump but that's just from the series I have completed.

Even Red Sprite's last chapter thanked the readers for reading. No reason to not do the same for a 15 year old series with 90 million in print in just Japan but what can you do I guess.

My guess is that Kubo is completely done with the manga scene, with everything bad that happened since the end of the Arracar arc. Maybe he just wants to fade into obscurity and live a quiet life with his family. He very well may not need to work with all the money gained from Bleach. It's a shame, because even until the end of his career his art was really good. I would have really liked to see a new work from him.

I didn't just pull the seven months number from my ass.
Viz didn't start serializing it till Feb 2015.

well, it didn't help

anyway, it's doing better than the pretty colors one you posted

Kimetsu no Yaiba #5 (65,822) Tomodachi Game #8 (43,327)

I'm like 90% sure he will talk about his next work in his Giga interview

The new English Jump issue has an interview with Katayama Tatsuhiko (Black Clover's editor). There's a pretty interesting bit where he talks about the situations where he'll step in and tell the artist to change something. I'm not going to copy over or post the whole thing but essentially says there's two main reasons for changing things.

The first is to make it easier to read, the example being a panel of Mars looking at Fana that he had Tabata flip because he felt the readers would find it easier to follow if Mars was on the right (since the readers would feel that they are on Mars' side also looking at Fana)

The other situation is to make sure nobody is acting out of character, the example being a part where he had Asta be more aggressive when telling I think Mars to keep living and save the girl instead of dying.

He says they don't change the story much since it's already set but they will change some dialogue for the above reasons.

Sounds like a reasonable thing to do, so long as it doesn't happen to often. Makes you wonder how many other series has this happen to them.

One other thing is that Tabata is apparently really passionate about his art, there's been a quite few times where's he's almost missed deadlines because he kept wanting to put in more detail (even when they were only expecting rough sketches from him).

You can tell. Say anything you want about the writing, but his art is great. His backgrounds are especially beautiful.

It'd be nice to see him paired with a writer for his next serialization.
He's probably the worst writer to ever gain success in Jump but I really do dig his art.

There is one problem with Tabata's art for me: the faces. Everyone looks the same. On the cover of Volume 4 Asta and the younger Fire Lions guy look like twins
But i agree, his backgrounds are good.

Here's the interview:

I hope they post the Horikoshi interview next week, seeing as the anime is starting.

The Horikoshi interview is indeed coming next week, they mention it on the next issue preview page.
