Reading this with your hatebonner of Yuragi is Hilarious.
Are you comparing my dislike for ecchi with lack of interpretation skills? One is completely understandable since nobody is obliged to like ecchi. Interpretation skills on the other hand are necessary for someone who calls himself native or fluent in a language. I'm trying to analyze the series while you guys are just saying that the character is bland, something you are already complaining before even reading the series. I say that his blandness is completely understandable given what the author is doing, and you guys insist that he is bland and continue to complain. I know that he is bland, it obvious, but it has a purpose, the character is clearly not likeable, nobody wants to be that way, it is also obvious. And although the manga is a bit exaggerated, most of them are anyway, there are people like that, I know many people who are recluse like that and only talks freely on the internet. This is not unreal, it truly happens, even more when you are talking about Japan, where we all know that this happens, it is often described in mangas, animes and novels.
I don't see why it was not well executed, at least in this first chapter, the series really showed for what it is coming.
For you convince you have to explain why the character blandness doesn't fit the series, why he has to be likeable anyway, and why it is so unreal. If the intention of the author was to do just that, make him bland and unlikeable, I think it was, then we have a good series because the author was able to transmit exactly what the intended.
