So the only major character that's left to be announced is Noelle. I would personally like her VA to be either Risa Taneda or Akemi Okamura.

Can anyone tell me what the cost of OVA production is? If Hinomaru Zumou has an OVA made by some studio, does it increase the chances of interest in producing a Hinomaru anime?

The coast for making an OVA really depends on the studio that produces it, but it's probably safe to assume that it's at least the same amount as one episode of a normal anime. Also since most OVA's are bundled with a volume of a respective series, if it's based on a manga, it doesn't typically increase the chance of a series getting an anime I could be wrong though.

Both are getting better and better so it's good to see them out of the bottom. Both are selling well so I think they are more safe than we realize. My hopes are up.

HZ getting adapted by IG would be heavenly. I think it's too late for an OVA, anime sure. Instead of giving series like SnS a season 3, they should've gave HZ an anime. Even if it's 1 cour.

He was probably just joking around/exaggerating or just being extremely humble. I do think Oda is a "higher level" but I also feel Shimabukuro is underrated at least outside of Japan. I'm surprised how many people didn't know Shimabu and were surprised to know about his relationship with Oda. I guess Toei's bad adaptation of Toriko didn't do much with pushing his series out there.

If the gap was that huge then there would've been no way that they competed with each other during the early days of One Piece/Takeshi.

Yeah Tabata is an egg compared to Shimabu and microbe compared to Oda.

If you want a pokemon reference then Tabata is a magikarp holding an everstone. Huge exaggeration, dont kill me BC fans

Which is bullshit. I'm not going to argue Toriko vs. One Piece (even though I greatly preferred Toriko) but the difference between them is NOT that massive. This was just a friend of his speaking kindly about him. Don't read too much into it.

It was weird that it was a lot of 5 min episodes (100+ episodes). I wonder if it'll change or remain the same.

I just realized that even if Zumou ends it wouldn't matter as much since Edited Mangas are going at a snail's pace. Anyone know what the untranslated current chapter number is? Gotta know how far behind it is.

On another more positive note, it's great to see Robot and WNL rising in the ranks, even if it's just temporary.

Not so good but given the fact that it was a Shounen Jump adaptation solely meant to promote the source of material and boost sales of merchandise and let's face it the anime look incredibly under budget it didn't really matter how well BD/DVDs sold as long as it brought more awareness to the franchise which it did. Given how the second season was announced at the end of the first one it was already planned regardless of BD/DVD sales.
