It was his first serialization. He'll come back, right?

...Right?

Didn't he say he realized he wasn't good enough to make manga? Hits in the feels Man, Horikoshi said he felt the same after Barrage and he had no good memories from it.

Horikoshi's story got to me too. When Barrage was canned he wanted to quit being a mangaka altogether and his friend convinced him to try again and look what it got him. Which just goes to show to never give up.

Funnily enough, Ole Golazo ended the same issue that Hungry Marie began. In retrospect, I do not like this trade-off.

I think Moue had a good sense of character design and fun art. Loved the design for Bamba the Man and the other 2 main characters.

Really hope he returns with a battle Shonen. I really think he could come up with some sick designs

Fujimaki made a guest appearance on the TBSRadio x Shonen Jump collaboration campaign with the comedy duo Sandwich Man.

https://www.tbsradio.jp/189848

Its a rather interesting talk. Some of the more interesting bits include one question from the hosts about the one of the most difficult experiences Fujimaki has had in his career. His answer was "I cried when I was unable to draw manga". This was during the early parts of Kuroko. According to Fujimaki, if you consider each weekly chapter's story and overall components on a scale of 100 pts, having a chapter be 100pts is near impossible. Usually you're around 90pts, 80 if its a rough week. He says you can consider 60pts to be the line at which its okay to be printed in the magazine. This is usually a a self-imposed line as Fujimaki himself decides on the "marks" for each chapter. Once he was unable to get to that 60pts line and his editor also didn't give him the okay and due to the deadline, time was getting more and more shorter but he still couldn't draw a chapter up at that line. He was basically huddled up in the room and soon the clock became scary with each tick and this almost became too much and he then let out sobbing sounds, like a child, and was soon full out crying. He says, " A grown adult was letting out tears". Even then he didn't get any ideas right away but in the end was able to put something together and make it on time.

There was also a best three and the guest determines the theme and he determined it as the top 3 moments ( as in moments that stood out the most) with his first editor Mr.S.
Number 3 was back during the beginning stages of Kuroko. Fujimaki would work facing the wall and his editor would basically come to pick up the manuscript. One time, while waiting to pick it up, he was siting around and had a cutter in his bag and began playing/putting pressure on Fujimaki with it. This sound began scaring Fujimaki and he basically had trouble concentrating and called his editor out on it.

Number 2 is titled "Kabedon". During a meeting, an argument began between Fujimaki and S regarding the direction of the story and S basically snapped and yelled "Why won't you understand!?" and slammed the wall. Fujimaki was surprised and got a little put off as violence broke out and thought "What kind of person...". Eventually they both cooled their heads and reached an agreement though Fujimaki doesn't remember who's direction they went with.

Number 1 is titled "Hard pressing for gratitude". When changing editors, mangaka usually give a shikishi to their editors and then they meet with the new editor and all three of them talk in a cafe or some other place. S said "You got his far thanks to me so don't forget that". Fujimaki did feel greatful but once he's basically told this, he pulled back and didn't give the shikishi he had prepared. He gave every other editor a shikishi but he didn't give one to S. He still has that shikishi.

Later, a fan asks that since Fujimaki likes Majong, would he ever write a majong manga and he says he won't as you have to be very careful and grasp all the players and their moves and he tends to write rather haphazardly so it doesn't fit him. Towards the end, he says he usually thinks of the story while taking walks and once its mostly put together he'll come to the table.

Finally, when asked what Shonen Jump means to him he answers, "probably a different dimension". He says that its like going to a different dimension. He has few memories during the time of serialization. Once he ended the series and "came back", he felt lost about what happened in the world as they're constantly working almost cut off from the world but at the same time, after finishing a serialization, he felt a sense of missing something as well. The stimulus was almost a little too strong that you feel a sense of missing something. They joke and ask him if hes an "M" and he laughs and says maybe he is.

It's not about pandering to one gender or the other. It's about pandering to tastes. Manga in shounen magazines pander to fans of the shounen audience.
Fujos prefer YoI (68k) to Haikyuu (26k). One reason why fujos stick with shonen taste series like Haikyuu because lack of better options. How many anime, manga are like YoI? I don't know any.
Jump is not in the business to lose money.
High tier fujobait YoI is best sold dvd/blu-ray sport anime. There is potential.
Any female (or male if you’re into that stuff) coming to Jump looking for serious homosexual and gay connotations between male and female character will be disappointed every time
Very likely.

I also thought that, it can't be helped, Barrage was terrible.
He got a lot better, but I'm starting to think that he can't handle a long serialization. My Hero Academia first year was fantastic, but now it is... meh.... I just want this arc to end, really, it has been kinda boring.

So , all the romcom have to be like monogatari series?

I dont think it makes sense to compare anime discs sales to claim which series fans prefer, far cheaper for Haikyuu fans to buy the manga over the pricey discs, yuri on ice fans have only discs to buy. Plus theres three seasons of hq to buy thats way more of a financial commitment than a season of yoi.

Where did I write that all the sport have to be like YoI series?
I mean, series with high level fujobait are lucrative and untapped market.
