I think this is the point I wanted to get across: sports series to me were always something of a light read, something that was never meant to be taken seriously. If someone won a match you go "yay" if they lose you go "eh whatever". Nothing in there should trigger you vice versa you shouldn't get triggered on anything in there. But truthfully it might be cause I'm a product of my environment. I mean, I'm American and found about anime growing up the same way like most people in my country did, through Toonami and 4Kids dub. You had the Sailor Moons, Big 3, DBZs, Pokemons, Yugiohs, Zatch Bells, Gundams, Kenshins, Inuyushas, YYH, etc. I don't ever remember any sports series cause maybe CartoonNetwork never thought kids would care for that stuff, I damn sure wouldn't when I was a kid. The landscape has definitely changed from 2004 to 2017 so I'll give you that.
They actually did air Prince Of Tennis a while back during that era. It went about as well as you expected.

Do any stage events get streamed from Jump Festa?
Yes.
The Super Stage Events that I know will be livestreamed on NicoNico are:

December 16th:
My Hero Academia - 10:30am JST
Yuragi-sou Yuuna-san - 12:50pm JST
Tokyo Ghoul:re - 2pm JST
Prince of Tennis - 3:50pm JST
Haikyuu - 4:30pm JST

December 17th:
Black Clover - 10:20am JST
Saiki Kusuo no Ψ-nan - 12:40pm JST
Boruto - 1:50pm JST
Kekkai Sensen - 3pm JST

Souma, Gintama and One Piece won't be streamed on NicoNico as far as I know.

Here is the page for the Jump Festa streams - http://ch.nicovideo.jp/jumpfesta
Know that you can only watch them live from a Japan IP address, and NicoNico are pretty clever with region blocking.

But be real, can you honestly say, without a doubt in your mind, gun to your head, that watching VOLLEYBALL or GOLF is more hype than All Might vs. AFO or Hisoka vs. Chrollo? If yes, I just gotta know why.
Yes, I was extremely more excited watching cute boys hit sportsballs against godly opponents. Seeing Tsukihina triumop over the great wall of Datekou, or Karasuno defeat Aoba Josai and the great King Oikawa, or Ushiwaka exerting his great power over Tsukihina but still losing it when Karasuno triumphed, or Hinata after hundreds of chapters finally getting a momentum turning receive was vastly more exciting than the dull Hisoka v Chrollo fight, and All Might is pretty dull character so any of his moments are yawn inducing. .

Actually there is nothing fight wise in HeroAca Id put over Haikyuu intense moments, Most of the brilliant heroaca moments have simply been character development driven moments (Kaminari sticking up for his incapacitated teammates, Todoroki rushing in to save Midoriya against Stain) etc,

Of course you'd prefer the sports manga from Weekly Shounen Jump where the boys play with balls. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I've seen a lot of people panic lately because of the DavidPro and Tsubasa remake announcement. I don't see why DavidPro couldn't work on two projects at the same time, they did it with Jojo's latest season, the last cour at least, they had Monster Hunter Stories: Ride On to work on as well which got extended it seems and they also still worked on Monster hunter while Sakurada Reset aired. I doubt the Tsubasa remake will be any longer than 2 cours for now. Jojo also has a stage at Jump Festa, but who know, they might announce another live action movie or something like that xD. But yeah, if no part 5 for Jojo gets announced at Festa, then Jojo is probbaly only going to come back in 2019, unless another studio picked up the project.

How did Kakegurui as an example backfire? All you did was claim that it isn't popular because you think so and because of some negative videos on youtube, wow great statistics! My point is, there are a lot of anime that are not on CR that are very popular, the top 2 most popular anime of the summer season are not on CR, this is why CR is unreliable, it doesn't have a lot of things on there and Amazon and Netflix have been taking away more and more popular titles.
Actually I provided examples to counted your claim which you didn't even bother to argue. Again if Kakeguri was so popular last season why did it have less members/people voting for it than views of someone trashing it? And once again DBZ Super was the most viewed show of this year and the one hour special that aired in October broke several website severs when the episode was uploaded so why does it have less members than Kakeguri on MAL? How the hell you can say MAL is reliable when the most popular anime of 2017 is poorly represented on there compared to everything else?

Those charts don't say anything really, they just highlight like 5 shows and the rest of the 35 anime form an anime season don't exist I suppose?
Yes because I'm sure people are dying to know how Yodel no Onna, a show that's not eve available for streaming, is doing this season. This is like complaining about why box office numbers only cover the top 10 releases and not everything else.

In general, MAL the amount of people that have added something to their lists. Other platforms are pretty useless because they don't have that. Anime fans use MAL and track what they watch. How are youtube videos indicative of anything?
MAL isn't even the first platform to do that its not even the most informative one. Anidb for example is much better than MAL and actually does have a mean system that's not easily exploitable many people don't use it because its old and not user friendly. Even YT as a platform is more useful than MAL because at least you're getting an "honest" opinion on something versus an inflated score based on the "opinion" of a select group of people that's totally not the fandom spamming.

What does negative reception have to do with the popularity of the show itself? Kakegurui is clearly popular, if all those people prioritized making videos on them, doesn't that make sense?
Its not. Flopped hard in Japan, no boost in sales for the manga and the numbers aren't even a thing to brag about. Its not really a sign of anything if people are saying how much something sucks (see Black Clover)

Again, put ratings aside which you will not do no matter what from what I can see, I was mostly referring to the actual numbers, the amount of menbers that have an anime on their lists on MAL.
Okay but those numbers are not indoctrinate of anything just the people who uses MAL and among those people who voted for for it. The only way this could be accurate is that every anime fan in the US uses MAL which is not possible since MAL's userbase isn't even a fraction of how many anime fans there are in the US. Yes its interesting that MAL liked Kakegurui what does that say for the rest of us?

Just delete that since the mod deleted the entire discussion, I deleted my last post about the topic as well and I'll delete this one soon as well. Now you're bringing up how well Kakegurui did in Japan when we're talking about Western statistics? Anidb barely has any users, how is that a good statistic at all? So other shows besides the top 5 most popular don't matter at all and don't exist? LMAO. So people outside the US don't matter, Europe is worthless and from what you're saying. Stop bringing up scores, I said put them aside. Look at the amount of people that have a show on their MAL account.

Shows outside of CR don't matter, don't exist. Again, you're bringing up the DB example, I feel like most people that religiously follow DB don't even care about anime in general and they only care about DB, so they aren't really like your typical anime fan that cares about more than 1 show.

Fuck opinions, reviews and ratings, put them aside, look at numbers to determine popularity, CR does not offer that.

And have you paid attention to the amount of outsourcing they've done for part 4? If you read part 5, you can see why it'd a bit worrisome since it's the most action heavy part in the entire franchise by far. It boils down to how David Pro will schedule themselves with this and if part 5 is going to be done in one run like with part 4 or if they'll do split cours. Split cours is the best decision and they probably did part 4 in one run since there's not a lot of action/fights to animate. Also, part 5 is one of the most popular parts in Japan so I don't see why David Pro wouldn't animate it and I highly doubt they'll hand it off to another studio. I don't think any other studio can do JoJo like David Pro does it, their directing is top notch and their love/care for the series is always there.

Why would they announce another live action movie when the first flopped so hard? It's most likely a part 5 announcement, it's the perfect time.

I haven't paid attention to the outsourcing, since I haven't even started watching Part 4. Hopefully all ends well.

Ninku remake when?
I wanna see that prequel manga adapted.
This, I've always had my eyes on that series and I've always been curious about it. Not sure how good the original anime is, but this is a pretty popular forgotten WSJ manga.

That's pretty surprising, especially considering how much Jump seems to be pushing this one. Are people in Japan missing the stamina guy and his not-girlfriend? I thought building the kingdom of science has been interesting, but that may not be sticking as much over there.

It's just a 2k drop...

Rather than the admittedly insignificant drop, for Dr. Stone the worrying part would be the lack of growth. Neverland has been consistently selling more and more with every new volume.

This lack of growth is what I was referring to as well. 2k isn't that much of a drop, but this early on in the series, it should still probably be showing some form of growth volume-per-volume, rather than stagnation. I'd say it's still too early to raise any flags yet, but if this trend continues for its next volume, then I'd be concerned.
