Wow, Kubo looks so different now, even from last year. Probably the hair and the glasses.
I'd be surprised if he ever came back to weekly serialization. He'd probably do one-shots every now and then.
He said that it's unlikely that his one-shot will become serialized in that interview and that he has no plans for now. I highly doubt he'll ever make a weekly manga again.

It seems he talks about other manga (MHA, Dr. Stone, HxH).

It's nice to see that Kubo is getting healthier. Whatever I may think of what Bleach became, I still think of him as a really great mangaka. I'm sad that it seems that he may not serialise again for a very long time, if at all, but if it gives him more time to recover and enjoy himself, then all the power to him. Looking forward to some fresh Kubo material from the oneshot later this year. I've been dying for something non-Bleach related.

He has the right to take any time of rest he wants. The man created one of the most selling manga of all the times and was serializated for years and years. Bleach having quality or not (I never read, just watched like 10 episodes), we all need to respect he and his work. Seeing him taking care of the health is great.

It seems he talks about other manga (MHA, Dr. Stone, HxH).
Its not so much he talks about them but more like they're used as reference points. The interviewer Arino asks him if the editor he's with is the editor he had from the beginning and Kubo replies that Murakoshi (the editor) is his 9th editor (they've only met, including this meeting, around 10 times). Arino then shoots back whether Murakoshi knows about the Arrancar arc to which Kubo jokes that he doesn't. Arino remarks that Murakoshi is from the "Academia Generation" to which Kubo agrees jokingly. When Arino asks what Kubo is doing right now, Kubo says he's not doing anything manga related and is just playing video games Arino shoots back that "isn't two years already a long rest" and that if he continues he'll (Kubo) will become "like HxH" because Kubo says that he wants to rest even longer. Everyone then laughs. Dr. Stone isn't brought up directly but Kubo talks to his editor about how Inagaki took a 7 year break after writing Eyeshield 21 for 7 years before starting Dr. Stone and that he wants to do the same. When asked about how his name is in the first issue of this year's Jump regarding a new work, Kubo says he's got nothing as of now.

All according to...
All as per Troll-sama's plans

I just want to see more of his art.
Same. As much as I'd love for him to be back either with a weekly or monthly manga, I honestly don't mind him not being serialized again as long as he does occasional one-shots to allow us to see his art again. Him being healthy should be his top priority.

from the "Academia Generation"
Don't they mean the Clover Generation? :3c

Anyways, please Togashi, don't fall back into the depressing author comments again. They were too much before, and they only make me get a sense of impending doom for the serialization.

Even the WSJ makes jokes with our Hiatus-boy.

Well, 2 years cannot be considered a rest when you don't have to do a series indeed. Togashi rested for more than that he has a series. XD

The more I read BokuBen the more I believe it should end within 15 volumes at the maximum. I'd say 12 volumes would already be stretching it but I really don't want this to continue beyond 140-150 chapters and lose its fun atmosphere. Its a nice, episodic series with occasional plot and with charming characters. Stretch that out too much and you'll have to start putting in unpleasant, and more importantly, unnecessary plots. I'm fine with unpleasant plots as long as there is a net change in the characters. I don't want drama and misunderstandings just for the sake of filling up volumes and everyone ends up back where they started before the arc. The sales are rising and digital sales are also doing well. I should break 100k by volume 7 so end it off with a nice clean ending with a ribbon on top and you'll have a gem that can be remembered as one of the great rom-coms of Jump. This series is prime material for a live action with up and coming actors and actresses. Put it in a mainstream timeslot on Fuji TV or NTV and you should get decent ratings.

Yeah, feel the same. I see Yuuna lowkey as the one with the most potential to run the longest due to its premise but reception on the anime is probably going to be a deciding factor. Nisekoi would of been a masterpiece of its genre if it ended within the first 140 but guess it was too in demand with 2 seasons and a couple ovas.

The Promised Neverland and My Hero Academia chose a good week to raise their quality without One Piece. It will be a great battle for the top in my rankings. It took a long time, but TPN is finally moving well and this arc in My Hero Academia looks better than I thought although the villains still looks like out of a anime filler episode. XD

So is this the last chapter of Spring Weapon? http://lhscans.com/read-spring-weapon-no.-1-raw-chapter-66.html

I'm not going to lie, if it is the final chapter, I was not expecting a gag comedy like this to end in such a sad way. I'm not exactly sure what's being said in the last 5-6 pages, but it definitely had a somber feel to it.
