It was never specifically stated Spring Weapon was ending this issue. Just that the editor's text implied an ending soon ("The end is sudden" or something like that).

Can't really call that a good ranking for Boze. Sure it's not dead last like everything else has been lately, but I can definitely see it falling further. Though stuff with similarly low debut ranks have survived fine before, so it's not completely dead.

That's about where I figured Boze would rank for ch1, it was decent enough to not get absolute bottom but not enough to be a hit. The problem now is it was by far the strongest chapter, it's only downhill from here and it only needs to drop a little to be done with.

I've practically given up on Jump Battle Shonen. All the newer entries post MHA (aside from KnY) are all pretty uninspiring and mediocre. The magazine seems to want to be going in a different direction anyways and it seems the readers perfer it this way. Nothing wrong with that though, probably for the better. I like Bozebeats but its pretty much following the same trend all the other canceled ones from the last 3 years have followed.

Wait for the third season and you will see that My Hero's TOCs will skyrocket.

Having said that, it seems clear to me that the Battle Shonen is a genre that no longer pulls, I believe that the latest "recent" members are My Hero, Black Clover and Kimetsu.

Just think of the Golem Hearts flop. Perhaps finished one of these in a few years you can return to have a successful one.

Who cares about the ToC anyways. Its only purpose is seeing what series are getting canceled and what Jump is trying to promote.

Black Clover's still around because it's always focused on being fast and exciting above all else, never dwelling on any one scene on conversation long enough to feel drawn out or skippable. Bozebeats' chapters past the first have mostly just been boring infodumps and meaningless conversations about nothing, it's about as opposite to Black Clover's appeal as it gets, with the battles feeling like they're only shoved in there because there'd have been no exciting content in the chapters otherwise.

What direction are yall seeing Jump go through? There was just an entire page of discussion about the hope of ActAge surviving cause its different. From the raws the current events are intriguing if anything and art is good to look at, but different doesn't equal good. I mean Dr. Stone is different but its sales are straight up uninspiring for its premise and notable "veteran" artist.

Less battle shonen more of other genres. Other genres are doing well for themselves, battle shonen have been garbage and been getting canceled 1 by 1 since 2015.
