I googled "ハ ー フ" and one of the first pics I saw were of this model, Yuriya/Julia Kimura, daughter of an Australian/Russian guy with a Japanese woman. She is more Chitoge than the Chitoge of the live action. Hey, japanese casting, pay attention!

Only now I remembered that the last issue was a double-issue.

She's waaay better but no where near as popular as Ayami.

Yeah that's pretty much the reason why I can't get into these live action adaptations of high school manga. They always use actors who look like they're 30.

So I just looked them up and turns out the dude is 25 and the girl is 21. I don't know if it's just me, but that promotional image makes them look older than that.

I really like the movie and wish more people enjoys it, plus it have shun oguri

She doesnt even look like a halfu

Chitoge doesn't look that much like halfu either, I googled Imaged Ayami and she is... good enough for me at least

I think if they found a famous celebrity that has a Japanese father & Russian mother would be better. The daughter will usually have more features of her mother (Russian) yet still look kinda Japanese that would be good. Just nitpicks on my end though. I'm fine with the roles, even if Chitoge can be better.

She could play Tsugumi, she seems like best girl material so it would be a good look. Also halfu is a term I never heard of, guessing it’s the equivalent to “blasian” (Black & Asian).

Chitoge doesn't look that much like halfu either, I googled Imaged Ayami and she is... good enough for me at least

Chitoge is barely halfu anyway, I thought she was born in America and could speak Japanese or something

Never heard the term "halfu" before but it sounds eerily similar to "halfbreed" or "mulatto" and that makes me uncomfortable. Doubt it has less malicious origins. Oh well...*whistles and walks away*

yeah because they all spell it wrong. It's Hāfu (Haafu) which means half.

Only now I remembered that the last issue was a double-issue.

This isn't even a full traditional double issue. No. 23 comes out on 5/2, which is basically two days after a normal issue. Last year the double issue came out on the 24th of April and then the next regular one on the 8th of May. This year its out on 4/23 and then 5/2. That's basically next week. We'll get the chapters probably on the weekend instead of Friday but we don't really wait another week. I thought with golden week they'd push it back to 5/7 but it seems like it'll be out in the middle of Golden Week.

Well, VIZ is owned by Shueisha and Shogakukan so if they wanted, they could but I think that due to the reality of the west, it's not coming.
