The people working on MHA are really talented but some of them aren't able to show off their skills because they're using the manga as storyboards. For example, compare it with Bones other adaptations like Kekkai Sensen season 1 or Mob Psycho. Both were amazing because the directors were allowed to go wild and not just copy paste panels. Both took advantages of the anime medium to surpass the source material.
That's an interesting insight, much like what Naruto anime did with episodes by Atsushi Wakabayashi (30, 71 and 133). In MHA it did happen in one episode in my opinion, which was Izuku vs Todoroki, but it's not out of the question that it will happen again.

Yeah the two episodes by Wakabayashi are good example but to expand on your Naruto point, it doesn't have to be episodes that involve lots of action. Toshiyuki Tsuru's Naruto shippuden episode 82 took a single panel

And expanded it with an anime original episode that was so masterful, you even have source purists from the manga arguing that it should be canon.

In one episode, he gave incredible depth and layers to Shikamaru, whereas the manga entirely glossed over the impact of certain character's death to those around him. In the manga, Shikamaru's dad doesn't even speak a word in that specific arc.

I'm still waiting to see if MHA will have an episode like that someday.

MHA didn't just copy paste the manga panels though. There were lots of moments that the anime handled completely different and way better than the manga did. I think during season 3, episode 3 was one where it was easy to notice. Just compare the episode to the manga and you'll see the differences.

Without spoilers, there was one double spread panel in the manga that showed lots of class 1-A students doing stuff. It was quite detailed but a bit confusing in the manga tbh.

The anime however, instead of copy pasting this panel, went on to focus on every single detail of this panel one after the other. And not at the same time like the manga did.

This makes it impossible for the viewer to miss sth. While in the manga, you could miss stuff because there was so much going on in one panel. Plus imo it was way more memorable than in the manga. I completely forgot that scene even existed until I saw it in the anime.

Sure, some moments could've been handled better, but quite a lot of moments were handled even better in the anime than they were in the manga.

Honestly, the anime of My Hero has nothing to complain about.

On the contrary, the manga is made on purpose in order to give the best in anime.

Noah's Notes has fallen in total irrelevance so I'm not surprised it is in axe danger.
Huh lol. I thought you said you were 100% confident this was a success and the next pillar? Nice bait, I’m onto you now.

Will Act-Age be the next Sesuji/Samon?
Maybe now Kei and the assistant can grow a chest with the extra time.

Honestly I think that’s the one thing MHA has lacked at, I truly believe it’s becoming a classic cause I consider Soul Eater’s anime a classic, and up there when it comes to masterpieces but they have the ability to go beyond of what they have done so far when it comes to improving upon the source material. Endeavor scene from S2, first two episodes of S3 are just great examples of what the staff can do when it’s not reined in.

That’s why I never had an issue with BC adding filler or fleshing out its world. Filler seems like a toxic word now cause of what we went through with long runners but I don’t believe all filler is the same. I agree the beginning of BC was weak compared to the current but I think padding can give manga readers a different experience anime-onlys can get. It’s just the direction that’s important, SP making characters repeat the same lines a million times, Asta’s screaming, stuff like that. That’s not what I was expecting and shit got old really fast and it removes any hype from what is happening on screen simply cause you cannot focus on it.

That's not important.

So much does not matter the quality of the anime, but the new readers it brings.

Haha funny you mention episode 3 from season 3 because I had that episode in my mind when I pointed out MHA. It was storyboarded by Kekkai Sensen season 1's director but it was so restrained I could barely recognize it as her episode until I saw her signature mark.

That MHA episode was nowhere as good as her previous ones in other shows but despite being restrained, it was still one of the most energetic episodes of MHA.

I see your point but I can’t say I fully agree or its accurate. This is the only thing I’ll say but one example was golden dawn transporting the rich kid to his kingdom as well as stopping at the church. They took time to slow things down in between the travel to have characters talk with each other and actually give Mimosa and Klaus some charactization outside of Mimosa looking good and Klaus touching his glasses and being like every other citizen in the series by knocking non-nobles.

That’s what I mean by direction. Instead of doing the same SP poured its gasoline on making the Black Bulls and some of the captians into cartoons more than people. By repeating the same lines over, making characters perform their tropes instead of just having a normal convo (Sol “sis” stuff) I really found it hard to take them seriously and it affected my interest in the plot. The characters have lacked heavily. Why do you think people accurately shit Sakura as one of the worst characters? For majority of the series she was only SASUKE-KUN, beat Naruto, and cried cause she was useless. She’s terrible.

There’s no problem with having a funny character trope. It’s just how it’s delivered. Something like Shikamaru saying “what a pain/troublesome” or Gray stripping is funny to me cause that’s not all their character revolves around, it’s a part of their personality and both cases explain why they are like that. BC makes it all their character revolves around and tells the audience exactly what kind of character they are by doing so. I find it unfortunate cause you see potential cool characters but outside of golden dawn and one or two others the cast is the by far weakest point of the series imo.

I have faith and manga is really good but unfortunately is being very ignored in Internet. It hasn't the presence almost rest of Jump has. Same happens with Jujutsu and Act-tage.

Edit : Internet connection trolls me

But these are personal opinions, not facts.

I understand that they can not please, but they do not affect the work the anime is doing.

What luckily at least for now Black Clover has no Sakura inside (let's be clear, Noelle had more character devepeloment in 7 volumes than Sakura in 30).

TPN's staff is the best assembled team I've seen for a Shonen Jump title since the staff for Bleach was first announced.
That's some major hyperbole. You have an unreliable studio at helm and a director who hasn't really done anything that stands out.
as long as they don't get restrained like in MHA, the anime will easily be the best Jump adaptation like Haikyuu.

Yeah...restrained. I too remember this panel from the manga. I know shitting on MHA is a pastime here but don't say stupid shit and not expect to be called out on it. Ironically enough the third seasons feels the most restrained of the seasons despite looking overall better because a lot of the staff are currently working on the movie but that has allowed for more expressive character animation and of course episodes like 41 If you're going to complain about the staff being "too loyal" to the source of material I hope you didn't watch Your Lie In April which was mostly a panel to panel adaptation which was elevated by the talent of the composer through key scenes and not the director.
Every single manga adaptation using the manga as a storyboard even the examples you listed used the manga as a storyboard. The MHA anime doesn't even copypaste panels like you're talking about. Ironic enough when those two series didn't follow the source of material and went off tangent they got criticized for it (the 3rd episode of Kekkai Sensen was considered a huge disservice to the source of material and certain scenes of Mob didn't have the same impact).

Sakura being a bad character is a fact cause the author has outright admitted she was poorly received among males and females. But yeah I suppose the other stuff is just my opinion. It would of been a better experience to digest if this direction didn't happened, at least in my mind. The potential lost in translation.

I'm glad Act-age did well this week. I've been enjoying the little bit I've read so far.

Remember that it was just rumored staff. Yonkou probably forgot to mention that it was from those Chinese investigations or whatever, if that's where he got the rumors from.

It's also very unreasonable that Cloverworks will do TPN in good quality assuming it comes out before Spring 2019. Right now them and A-1 have 4 projects which 2 ends this season and 2 ends 2 ends in October, they already have 3 projects set for October and one of them is SAO. I really hope that Mappa/Madhouse will be the one to handle this adaptation with Kaiji's director at the helm in Winter 2019.
