The people working on MHA are really talented but some of them aren't able to show off their skills because they're using the manga as storyboards. For example, compare it with Bones other adaptations like Kekkai Sensen season 1 or Mob Psycho. Both were amazing because the directors were allowed to go wild and not just copy paste panels. Both took advantages of the anime medium to surpass the source material.
MHA didn't just copy paste the manga panels though. There were lots of moments that the anime handled completely different and way better than the manga did. I think during season 3, episode 3 was one where it was easy to notice. Just compare the episode to the manga and you'll see the differences.
Without spoilers, there was one double spread panel in the manga that showed lots of class 1-A students doing stuff. It was quite detailed but a bit confusing in the manga tbh.
The anime however, instead of copy pasting this panel, went on to focus on every single detail of this panel one after the other. And not at the same time like the manga did.
This makes it impossible for the viewer to miss sth. While in the manga, you could miss stuff because there was so much going on in one panel. Plus imo it was way more memorable than in the manga. I completely forgot that scene even existed until I saw it in the anime.
Sure, some moments could've been handled better, but quite a lot of moments were handled even better in the anime than they were in the manga.
