Until there is someone who is capable of making the next chapter better than the previous chapter, One Piece will still continue to the best manga ever.

The Promised Neverland did that for a while then it stopped.

In a way, I think it's pretty safe to take that as a joke. :) The man would be 55 years old if he were to start up a new series by then and while it wouldn't disqualify him from creating manga...it wouldn't be an easy feat either. (Especially since I believe he has a shoulder injury as well.) Not everyone can pull off an Akimoto!
However, I believe Kubo has said that he made enough from Bleach to live comfortably for the rest of his life and so in a way you could interpret the not creating a new series for 15 years statement as him telling people to not expect a new series from him at all. It would be incredibly hard even for a super diehard fan to wait that long in the hopes that Kubo would start a new series. That hardcore Bleach fan would have likely given up and moved onto greener pastures by then. That just might be the pessimistic side of me speaking though.
To be honest, I really doubt either Kubo or Kishimoto will ever return to make a weekly manga again. I'll only believe it if it actually happens.

Both of them might never make a new manga again. If they do return, it could be something that's very short, but nothing else. Realistically, one of them could make a monthly manga or something like that.

You know Kishis dropping a new manga this year right? He's showcased the story board already

Honestly, TPN had more great cliffhangers than great chapters per se. Now the formula has become tiresome. If Shirai were less gimmicky and more character-focused like Oda is, the recent arc could have been a masterpiece.

it is a joke, people are taking this statement out of context

he was comparing himself to Inagaki, he said Eyeshield lasted 8 years and Inagaki took 8 year off before Dr Stone
Bleach lasted 15 years so he will take 15 years off

Let's wait for the first chapter to come out.

I don't read it either. It's hard to say how long they'll let it run. I think it will end as soon as the anime finishes. Since it's monthly, I can see it lasting for 10 volumes at most?

06/18 issue of jump looks like its going to have a lot of Bleach news. All 74 volumes of the manga are also being reprinted on 06/18. On top of that look at what Kubo chose to write on Ichigo's sweater which was used to promote the new artbook. I'm not jumping to any conclusions but it is looking more and more like Kubo's oneshot will be Bleach related or better yet an actual "little sequal" like Naruto's Scarlet Spring mini series.

That would require Boruto's anime to finish sooner than expected mind you, it's director is the only one interested in animating Bleach according to Bleach previous character designer Masashi Kudo. No chance it's happening by the time Black Blover finishes unless it's getting 25 extra episodes which is completely possible IMHO.

Or maybe its just promotion for the live action movie in a month that seems to be on the back of everyone's minds.

I mean, that was Toriko during the cooking festival arc. Literally every chapter was better than the last.

I found Toriko's cooking festival one of the weakest arcs of the series personally. Toriko's strongest aspects imo were the exploration and world building but the cooking festival dropped those parts for a full year. It's the point where the rankings took a turn for the worse too, I think it honestly hurt the series overall.
