Beside the Limited Edition of Kochikame which sold for 500k+, i don't remember any instances of the last volumes spike in sales within WSJ, maybe Naruto? I do know a fair amount of people bought the magazine which contains the last chapter of Naruto. Not really. I think people already pick and choose which volumes to buy, additionally we've seen how final volumes of series suddenly get a huge increase over previous volumes.
Bleach's did but its sales were already below its peak at that point.Beside the Limited Edition of Kochikame which sold for 500k+, i don't remember any instances of the last volumes spike in sales within WSJ, maybe Naruto? Yeah they announced it earlier todaySomeone was asking yesterday about Muhyo & Ryoji being on Crunchyroll. They just posted a subbed preview so I assume they have it
Facts and figures for proof please that show One Piece and every other manga in WSJ has been overwhelmingly affected by digital sales.... not to mention that now the digital has taken hold overwhelmingly affecting the sales of paper.

Some cast translation
New PV too
Seriously ?Facts and figures for proof please that show One Piece and every other manga in WSJ has been overwhelmingly affected by digital sales.

If it gets a sequel like Muhyo, the probability is higherAnd now Mr.Fullswing is the only 2000s long title with no anime. And doesn't look is going to get one.
Funny thing is last succesful baseball manga Jump has had.
Well I never thought Muhyo and Roji would gett an anime, so never say neverAnd now Mr.Fullswing is the only 2000s long title with no anime. And doesn't look is going to get one.

I just hope Rokudenashi Blues gets an anime one of these years. If it has managed to be the 12th Jump top seller with no anime, I can't start to imagine how much would it sell if it gets anime (see JoJo).Well I never thought Muhyo and Roji would gett an anime, so never say never
JoJo anime sells Blu-Ray discs not backlog volumes. None of the part beside the on-going one made it in top 50 Oricon but a lots of Discs charted.I I can't start to imagine how much would it sell if it gets anime (see JoJo).
Didn't it get some sort of short episodes?Jaguar never got more than a single OVA I think and it ran for 10 years.
I guess gag series go by slightly different standards though.
JoJo anime increased manga sales. You can see that seeing manga sales yearly numbers of this decade.JoJo anime sells Blu-Ray discs not backlog volumes. None of the part beside the on-going one made it in top 50 Oricon but a lots of Discs charted.
Yeah for one year in 2013, don't exaggerate like it sells gazillion copies when the anime dropped.JoJo anime increased manga sales. You can see that seeing manga sales yearly numbers of this decade.
What percentage of this increase affects WSJ manga? How much do each individual manga from WSJ contribute to digital sales market? What are the sales for each series from the digital market from WSJ? Are their digital sales for individual volumes consistent throughout? Is one series selling more than another digitally, are they in the same trajectory as their physical copies and if so or not, why?Digital sales of printed material have increased more than sales of printed material. Thus, it is highly unlikely and very improbable that Digital Sales HAVE NOT affected Jump manga sales. Even in this very thread, calculations have shown that a meaningful and not insignificant amount of manga sales are digital.
According to a survey by the Research Institute for Publications, sales of digital manga last year are estimated to have risen 17.2 percent from a year earlier to ¥171.1 billion ($1.6 billion), while sales of physical manga fell roughly 14.4 percent to ¥166.6 billion.
But it is also well known, established and recorded from over the past 2 decades (basically when the internet came and people started keeping track of such stuff) that sales hit their peak and then decline for every single series out there if they run long enough.Seriously ?
No evidence is needed, it is well known.
