I think this is the funny thing: Those "Hype thing" also are in souma (the fanservice when someone eat something, some scenes, crackships) and most shounen have it(bad or good series), most people read it because of those thing, in the same way some people read late toriko.
I think the problem with toriko is that most reader dropped toriko after the TS(or did like icemperor) and the fans still reading it developed a sorta-cult following with the series and the author.

I mean, it isn't bad, is a fandom and is not a problem if you like toriko, but deny that both Souma and Toriko were overstaying their welcome because you like one of the author and you don't like the path of the other series
I rarely ever seen SnS being praised for it's hype. Yes, all series have their hype moments but that's not what I see as the strengths for SnS. Toriko's strengths, at least more so in the TS, was it's hype moments. It's not a bad thing for SnS. Clearly its subjective what people find as hype but more often I see Toriko being associated with hype far more than SnS. Also, a lot of people just dropped SnS or are just along the ride to see how it ends. I couldnt bare it so I just dropped it, hoping for the series to get axed. I never found that "most" readers dropped Toriko after the TS.

I found the timeskip to start pretty well (there were bumps in the road like skipping out Toriko saving Komatsu) with the Heracles/Bambina arcs. I never felt frustrated with Acacia as a villain, my main issue comes with the area skipping since it throws away the structure of the gourmet world saga and the goals of the HK's are skipped. That was at least 10+ volumes worth of content just skipped and Shimabu foreshadowed/setup the framework for those areas. The character interactions of those duos and the world building would've been great to see.

How can Toriko overstay its welcome when the majority of the content got skipped? The gourmet saga was less than 3 years, unlike the central saga which was 3 years when it didn't need to be that long. Now, it's getting a blue saga/arc? Yeah, if thats not overstaying its welcome then idk what is. Toriko's final arc was only 30 or so chapters, that's not overstaying its welcome and it was Toriko's end goal. The people who wanted Toriko to end were just fed up with rushing. I don't blame them but at that point Toriko didnt have much longer. With SnS, who knows when its gonna end.

isn't a good argument and it doesn't help that your post end with "you're the only person who I heard posting that toriko was boring".
I said one of the few people...Its true though. I rarely seen people call Toriko boring, even when the series was rushing people still had fun reading it. Anyway, what people find boring/fun is subjective.

Thats it? Was expecting it to have more than the population of United State of America. Sad.

That's really weird, considering that an Oricon News article from 10 years ago already gave the sales as 350 million worldwide. You'd expect Oricon News at least to have their sales data right D:

That can't be right... we got so many times the 350 million worldwide figure in various news sites over the past 10+ years.

Imagine a typo error happened lol

Can't wait for Kinnikuman special one in December. Is the only one left, too.

That 250 million figure is definitely correct for two reasons.

Firstly when Shueisha announced that they were creating a Dragon ball department in 2016 the figure given was 240 million.
https://mantan-web.jp/article/20161012dog00m200016000c.html

Secondly One Piece was officially recognised as the most printed comic book by a single author ever in 2015. The figure that was given to compliment this record was 320,866,000 which is less than the 350 million Dragon ball was rumoured to be at in 2008.

Even reputable sources can make mistakes sometimes as that Oricon article from 2008 is definitely incorrect.

I'd like to point out if 350 is true then that means the international sales of the manga would match the domestic sale, which to be honest IMO unlikely (especially at this scale)

also I won't fully trust Oricon(sales) pre-early 2008

edit:
Shueisha words overruled other sources

At the Lucca Comics it was confirmed that Kimetsu will arrive in Italy. Better late than never.

That's probably the closest we'll get to it animated at any rate, since Toriko's Gourmet World arc will never be animated and Togashi's never going to actually get to the dark continent at his current pace.

Is anyone up to date with Gunjou? How is it?

He did make this comment recently.

While it may be long but I think we will get to the DC for sure. This arc is the arc where HxH is hitting new peaks in sales so they will definitely animate this...Togashi is putting out content at a consistent pace so it could work out.

They'll definitely animate it as its HxH but this arc isn't hitting new peaks, its hitting new lows for the series.

What new lows? This is the arc where HxH is hitting 1.2M, close to 1.3M with volumes 33 & 34. I think the recent volume was lagging behind compared to the rest but it should catch up in the long run.
