So with my bad Japanese I could understand that they changed editor after chapter 7, Murakoshi former editor of Tonkatsu DJ Agetarou and Assassination Classroom and now the editor is Ishikawa Souske.

Do you guys think we can sort of assume that Black Clover will get a “3rd Season”.

The manga is in the middle of a huge arc, which feels like it has a ways to go before being complete. At least a few months.
And the anime isn’t even on that arc currently.

Which means, with its current pacing, the anime will probably either be in the middle of that said arc by the it reaches the end of “season 2”, or they’ll have to enter a filler arc. Unless the anime just has an anime original ending.

I feel like it’s definitely a “anime will run until the series either ends or no longer pulls in a profit” type deal

I thought or figured it'd stop at the end of year 2. Year 2 was already good enough for me, getting a 3rd year (season) would certainly be awesome but not something I'd imagined most people would have thought. It'd be unpresidented.

As long as the anime remains profitable, I have no doubt it'll get renewed for a "3rd season" unless some unforeseen incidents happen like the director stepping down or the manga ending.. This is pretty much how TV Tokyo operates.
