I want to believe that this whole story about Gintama's ending has always been planned, otherwise a behavior like that, historical author or not, is unacceptable
Why is it not acceptable tho? He's no longer in the main competitive magazine. His series in Giga is literally the biggest boost it can get. I'm fairly certain WSJ made the logical choice of switching magazines for Sorachi for two reasons
1. He won't be taking up any spot that a potential new series will get and deny them a possible new success
2. Gintama has a presence that can help Giga.

Gintama volumes still sell more than Kimetsu, Dr. Stone, WNL, Zumou etc. It gives them an opportunity to still milk the franchise as much as they can (keep in mind how we see Gintama in the best selling media franchises list every year). There are literally no negatives for WSJ in this.

It’s generally considered unprofessional to repeatedly break deadlines, it wreaks havoc with promo and makes everyone involved look clueless.

In terms of deadlines Sorachi-Sensei has rarely been on break and every week consistently makes the deadline with close to 20 pages, which is more than can be said about some other series in Jump right now. Some very, very popular series.

I’m guessing that Journey To The West inspired series is going to take elements from the novel and take place in a modern, urban environment, or in a future environment

For someone who has kept his deadline for 15 years, I'm sure there are different rules and expectations (like in every work environment) especially when they are almost at the ending of their work.

Exactly the point. Despite his image as messy gorilla the guy actually pretty tidy. Thats why everything that happening now feels so strange.

It's either he takes his time to end it the way he wants it to end or it'll end like how Bleach did. Sudden and not planned well.

And where would the problem be?
The point was if Sorachi, a well respected veteran who created arguably the most well known comedy manga of his generation, can't have the luxury of postponing his manga's ending despite not being in the main magazine, then newcomers like MHA and BC are definitely not up to the mark because of their shorter chapters and unfinished art in several chapters.

This surely isn't the case though since WSJ clearly respects them enough to be OK with such shortcomings.
So you can easily say WSJ would also not really have any issues with how Sorachi is handling Gintama's end.

Again, I'd much rather he takes his time and finishes it when he wants to and not just end it because of something he committed to previously and rush the last 3-4 chapters like Kubo did.

Wrong sort of deadline, but I get the confusion. The uh ultimate deadline as it were. The end. Publically missing announced endpoints is the issue.

Yeah the big issue here is that he went to the editors himself to say that he was ready to finish the manga. He's already been on record as messing up the timing so they were generous enough to give him the space in GIGA. He believed he could finish the manga then but he decided to do a random parody of DB instead, which while it was funny, it really didn't add anything to concluding the story. As much as I love the manga and Sorachi, he has to take some blame here for not planning out his stuff properly. Like I said before, he's lucky that there are people at Shueisha who love him enough to let him do what he wants and not just fire him on the spot for missing two of his own planned deadlines.

Didnt he already take the blame for when he couldn't finish the manga in WSJ? I'm sure if they approached him to make more public comments, he'd just say its his fault again.

Again, people seem to be making this to be a bigger deal than it actually is. It'll be a huge problem if there was a lot of money at stake if this deadline wasn't met which we can assume there isn't, not negatively for Shueisha anyway.

SergioM3, a dataminer, has said he thinks he has found the 9 DLCs in his datamine. He advices this list is his interpretation so it can be possible for some characters to not happen. Datamine list would be:
-Buu (Dragon Ball)
-Law (One Piece)
-Madara (Naruto)
-Hitsugaya (Bleach)
-Grimmjow (Bleach)
-Biscuit (HunterxHunter)
-Kaiba (Yu-gi-oh)
-All Might (My Hero Academia)
-Bakugou (My Hero Academia)

Also, he has found 4 scrapped characters from initial roster, who maybe could be joining in second DLC pass if they release a second one: Kenpachi and Byakuya from Bleach, and Shun and Hyoga from Saint Seiya

My impressions:
-Completely dissapointed DLC list was acaparated by the 5 titles which have like 75% of the roster.
-No new franchises (no Reborn!, no Toriko, nothing new); missed opportunity
-In terms of franchises, most originality would be for Kaiba, since rest of DLCs are from the ''Big 5'' + My Hero Academia
-Bleach gets now as many characters as Naruto (if we don't count Boruto).
-If that second DLC pass with these 4 characters would happen, Bleach would be the title with most characters with 8 (while the Big 3 would be in 7). If that happens, I completely see another DB, OP and Naruto character happening (my bets would be Gohan, Sakura, and whoever from OP, Nami? Smoker? Akainu?)
-If they didn't want to add new franchises in the DLC, at least add Raoh instead Hitsugaya or Grimmjow

Jump Force representation after ''confirmed DLC'':
-Dragon Ball and One Piece 7 characters
-Naruto and Bleach 6
-HunterxHunter 5
-My Hero Academia 3
-Yu Yu Hakusho, JoJo, Saint Seiya, Kenshin, Yu-gi-oh 2
-Hokuto no Ken, City Hunter, Dragon Quest Dai no Daiboken, Black Clover, Boruto 1

Yeah he already admitted in that final letter it was his problem that he couldn't meet the deadline that he had originally set when he first went to meet the editors. Regarding your second point, I get your point that in the grand scheme of things, taking into account Sorachi's nature and the fact that he can lampoon himself in ways others wouldn't dare, this missed deadline doesn't mean that much.

Do people even care about this game anymore?

Lol Again this is mistake in my option. DB parody only lasted 6 pages. And all other pages were blatantly wasted on talking and running.

Chainsawman STILL doesn't give me any impression of ending soon. Just the opposite impression.

Meanwhile Shokugeki continues releasing flags of ''ending in 10 chapters''.

I still haven't seen Yuuna-san, but I wouldn't be surprised of ending flags after the last 2 chapters.
