the amount of development and characterization for the characters 6 chapters in is refreshing to see. Its also surprisingly darker than what I expected

Ill still never forget how people thought Food Wars was the greatest thing since sliced bread, and now people have mostly turned on it except for some of us who've been loyal since day one.

Asahi is still my fav antagonist thus far, having a Soma and a Yami Soma (honestly he looks like it at times) is the coolest thing ever. And we had the ultimate SoTaku moment this arc so Im incredibly pleased.

I'd rather say that Food Wars turned on its fans with the atrocious treatment of characters and that poor excuse for a plot, rather than the fans turning on it.
