Beast Children was meh tbh. Though that’s pretty standard for the first chapter of sports manga I guess.
Devs troll you can’t see it on the appWhere do you guys find the author comments on MangaPlus?
Saiyuki was excellent this week. Set up relationship dynamics between them and there's a high-stakes, can't-escape, out-of-our-league battle coming up
Also, Stivie that's actually so true, Chainsawman is definitely the new Gintama. A bit more battle-oriented initially but definitely Gintama. And to you guys saying Gintama isn't quite as graphic... I have to question if you actually read it.
References?
It's hard to get sales number prior to like 2008 but there are copies in print figures. Part 5 had 10 million copies in print (17 volumes). When JoJo's was running in WSJ, how did its sales compare to the other big names running alongside it?
It’s a “consensus” thing that part 5 sold 10 million in its run, though it’s hard to pin point a sourceWhen JoJo's was running in WSJ, how did its sales compare to the other big names running alongside it?
It was from a TV announcement. I think iceemperor is the one who posted it. Part 3 is the most popular in Japan but part 5 is very popular especially with the fujos. It’s a “consensus” thing that part 5 sold 10 million in its run, though it’s hard to pin point a source
And part 3 is the most popular
And the series report 100 million copies sold
^ another dbz case where there are lots of editions for older parts
And i think the first 3 parts must have sell a tons for Araki to keep doing what’s he doing
You can, it's still on a delay and the same place (2nd tab, star in a circle). It does load a browser link though if that's what you meant.Devs troll you can’t see it on the app
If you access from the web browser it’s in features
look at my avatarThat brings to mind a question, are there other creators who had 2 flops then got a big hit? I suppose Horikoshi's first series wasn't a total flop but it ran for less than a year so it was still mostly a flop.
I can think of a bunch with one flop before their hit but nobody else immediately comes to mind that flopped twice then succeeded.
Not Furudate but ratherBeast Children is good, not exception, but something enjoyable to read, i can see it sticking around, the art is good, character design reminded me of early Furudate (considering that and the similarities in the story, I wouldn't be surprised if the author turned out to be a old assistant of him) but the background seems to be non existent sometimes, it's pure white, hope it improves, also, loved the Act Age and BnHA references.
Interesting....Not Furudate but rather
You must secretly really love MHA because you can't let ANY opportunity to badmouth the series pass by...Found this interesting in the BNHA editor interview.
—What are the most notable points when reading “BnHA?”
Monji: I don’t wish for our readers to read the series seriously. It would be much better to have them casually read it and feel that the series is entertaining. But if I really have to pick a point, I would say it’s the design.

Yeah I wish BNHA were better and it loved up to my expectations...You must secretly really love MHA because you can't let ANY opportunity to badmouth the series pass by...
I expected more of Beast Children, but I really liked Sora.
Do you have a link to 2008 and onwards numbers? I remember reading that in 2013 , it sold 2nd only to OP in total but I don't see JoJo on any top 10 oricon lists recently. TIAIt's hard to get sales number prior to like 2008 but there are copies in print figures. Part 5 had 10 million copies in print (17 volumes).
Look up the year season 1 got animated -201x, then search the oricon sales around thatDo you have a link to 2008 and onwards numbers? I remember reading that in 2013 , it sold 2nd only to OP in total but I don't see JoJo on any top 10 oricon lists recently. TIA

Circulation Numbers:So if its got 100 mil "sold" on 123 volumes then it must have been around 1 mil per during the wsj days cause its not even near 800 k recently per vol from what i can see or those numbers are super inflated/bs to hype it up for 25th anniversary?
