Double taisei and TSS were better.

Hmm I wasn’t aware of the situation with the spanish chapters. That paints it as likely being Seven Seas not opting in out of the whole “no revenue, just exposure” thing you’re describing there.Couldn't they do as they're doing with spanish licensors in order to release series in the platform? I'm not knowledgeable in SS licenses and stuff, but Shueisha doesn't own Planeta, Norma, Ivrea or Panini, and they're all participating in the platform without getting an actual revenue more than the advertisement that it's done in the website (those images you can see that say 'Buy the volumes!' in spanish-translated series). Of course, whole decision in taking part in the project is the licensor alone, but I don't find it that crazy for other editorials to participate in the future.
Other publishers are participating that aren’t owned by Shueisha - Medibang and Media Do.Couldn't they do as they're doing with spanish licensors in order to release series in the platform? Actually the 'no revenue' thing would make sense since for spanish editorials, translating chapters now would mean not having to do it later when releasing volumes, but of course, they have that 'rush' of publishing chapters weekly. Still I can't safely mention that as a 'rush' since as far as I know, even freelance translators get, at least the text of the chapter, more than 1 week before the chapter is released in the platform. Don't know about the editing process later of when do they receive raws, since a member of Norma (spanish licensor participating in M+) said they received everything, text and raws, 2 days before the chapter release (contradicting what spanish freelance translators say on Twitter, but whatever). Anyway, as you said, no actual answers we could provide or get I guess.Hmm I wasn’t aware of the situation with the spanish chapters. Though I do wonder if Seven Seas’ first wave of Ghost Ship titles aren’t a bit of a sore point. There was a period of several months where something they couldn’t talk about was preventing the digital volumes from even coming out, and I think most new licenses since have been from different publishers. Much to think on with no actual answers I guess

As I mentioned earlier, this spanish licensor stated that 'It was a huge rush and their translators and editors were exhausted because they received raws without almost time'. Again, don't know how much of this can be true due to some other translators tweets. About the payment, can't say anything there except editorials not being paid.Other publishers are participating that aren’t owned by Shueisha - Medibang and Media Do.
Pretty safe to bet that Yuuna not being included is because Seven Seas didn’t want to be involved in simulpubbing, since they don’t do it at all unless for shorter series. It requires a completely different editorial process, so if it’s not something you’re kitted out for/have experience in, or your focus is elsewhere, it’s probably not worth it. Note that everything is either being done by Viz (who have their own platform) or very small companies who will take anything they can get from a big publisher. I know for a fact Shueisha isn’t paying well to have these previously unlicensed/not simulpubbed series done, so there’s that too, and it’s certainly reflected in the quality of work on some of them.
Media Do are a bit different to a publisher. Or at least they like to think so. They do double duty as an ebook distributor for several other publishers, Which is a big part of their involvement here. They’re also, as a side-note, a massive ballache of a company to look into.Other publishers are participating that aren’t owned by Shueisha - Medibang and Media Do.
Trust me, you get used to Asta after a while. Mostly because the cast is well-constructed enough to properly support him.Decided to read black clover on a wimp. When will this get good? The main character is too obnoxious.
The hordes of people shutting him down eventually make you root for him. Plus in such a crazy messed up world, his no bullshit straightforwardness becomes a pretty rewarding trait for the reader.Decided to read black clover on a wimp. When will this get good? The main character is too obnoxious.

I’d assume it differs between publishers, but I’ve heard from people on both the English and Spanish side who recieve the translated scripts and files roughly a week before release, so the translators probably get it earlier. We know Viz translators get them roughly 10 days prior at least. This is all for Jump though, Plus stuff probably has much shorter turnarounds. Even Viz editors have spoken about 24 hour turnarounds for stuff like Vigilantes/Jigokuraku before. And who knows when the actual deadline is anyway, since it’s probably like 3-4 days before release.Actually the 'no revenue' thing would make sense since for spanish editorials, translating chapters now would mean not having to do it later when releasing volumes, but of course, they have that 'rush' of publishing chapters weekly. I think you hit the nail. One of the reasons why the current lineup of battle shonen is doing well (MHA & BC being the foremost examples) is because of a strong supporting cast. Sam8's standing is shaky right now, so if he wants to pick up the pace he's going to have to introduce the rest of his cast soon. And hopefully, he actually LEARNS from his last series this time.Trust me, you get used to Asta after a while. Mostly because the cast is well-constructed enough to properly support him.
Honestly, I know some people are sick of me ragging on Samurai 8, but I feel regarding the complaints surrounding Hachimaru that it's very valid, the fundamental problem with Hachimaru as a character is that the rest of the cast is far too weak to support him as a protagonist. Thus far, the only two really solid characters he's been able to interact with are Daruma (who would be an exceptionally generic mentor even back in the Golden Age) and Nanashi (leaves without any idea when they'll be back). Without anyone to really interact with (no, his dog does not count), Hachimaru is left to support the manga on his own, and he's simply no unique enough to do that.
Man I should really shut up but I don't think BNHA's supporting cast is strong. People love them, yes. But there's no depth to 90% of them because they never get any focus besides getting to say their taglines every now and again.I think you hit the nail. Naruto had majority of prominent characters introduced by Chapter 4 lol. In Samurai 8 we have nothing besides your usual sensei character.I think you hit the nail. What deep have kimetsu cast? The only one who had a good character development is Zenitsu...Man I should really shut up but I don't think BNHA's supporting cast is strong. People love them, yes. Kimetsu and Hinomaru's side squads geniusly weave into the story and maintain relevancy, and I love their stories all the more for it.
You forgot to mention BLack Clover, Food Wars, and Beast Children.MHA, Haikyu, and Jujutsu Kaisen def have the better supporting casts rn
Yep, Jujutsu has a great supporting cast. I can see why some would mention MHA, but I don't think it does it well enough as it should haveWhat deep have kimetsu cast? The only one who had a good character development is Zenitsu...
I think the ongoing jump series with the best suporting cast is Haikyuu and surprisingly... Jujutsu (and I find in general my least favourite battle shonen in the moment)
Shokugeki no Souma?? Isn't it hated for how horrible it handled the supporting cast and ruined Erina's character (among other plot things)? You forgot to mention BLack Clover, Food Wars, and Beast Children.
I mean , both MHA and Kimetsu have a good suporting cast, but Jujutsu had the advantage(compared to MHA) that had a shorter amount of character to develop.Yep, Jujutsu has a great supporting cast. I can see why some would mention MHA, but I don't think it does it well enough as it should have
MHA supporting cast is really good with good character depth in many of them, there’s just a lot of characters, not only in the world but in Class A and B alone. But he’s worked really well with what he’s hadYep, Jujutsu has a great supporting cast. I can see why some would mention MHA, but I don't think it does it well enough as it should have

Shokugeki had a really good supporting cast development during it's run, but in this past arcs it all went to completely trash. Support characters didn't have any kind of importance or even the slightest action here. They were just in the tournament in order to win some matches and then lose and make Soma stand out even more as the hero that will save them all and defeat every enemy. Like for real, they developed them all and made them confident in themselves just to throw that away in this arc and make Soma the ultimate chef and everyone else complete useless.Shokugeki no Souma??
