Mag Talk Weekly Shonen Jump [2019] - Discussion and TOC Talk

[shoyoboyo]

Anyway, how is OP's popularity compared to the rest of the series? And the top five most popular?

you new here? havent seen you around.

to answer your question, one piece is still the most popular series in jump, at least sales wise. for top 5 most popular, its more complicated and depends on where you look. for example, if you check r/manga, you would think chainsawman is the most popular manga in jump right now. physical sales numbers is really the only concrete evidence we have. the top 5 of that would be something like this

one piece
mha
neverland
haikyu
black clover

[MangAniMY]

Manga Plus scheduled SPY x FAMILY for a release on the same time as Weekly Jump Issue 32

that means the special chapter will be available there

[Tarot]

I agree with you, but if I recall Black Clover had already a fanbase (and anime didn't help at all. T-thanks Pierrot).

Are you sure? The BC subreddit had 5k subscribers pre-anime and now it's over 30k.

Yes it is.

Any word on info about Issue 32?

[Mankichi Togawa]

WSJ Issue #33 cover: My Hero Academia

[Aeneas]

Expected that.

[Jovan]

Is this how the WSJ actual polls look like? Dunno what the right side means (left obviously means to pick the top 3)

No surprise. Still, that says we still aren't yet at a new batch. Wonder when it'll be...

I've seen it in enough tweets that I feel confident in saying it is.

[Aeneas]

Last Saiyuki at #1

[Shinuki no Reborn]

Poor reader, trying to support Saigo no Saiyuki...

Maybe the right side is the least favorite one?

I think it's Kamio Yui so maybe this reader's thinking is 'I want Sayuuki to survive, so better try to sink the competition'.

[Jovan]

New Jump+ oneshot, Happiness Duo (by Akira Hoshinoya)

Nah, the right says something along the lines of "And, I wish for series [ 2 ] as my present", so that appears to be the choice of the prize you want for sending in the poll, if you become one of the senders who are drawn to get a prize.

You know when it get usually translated? I'm curious about this one

Poor reader, trying to support Saigo no Saiyuki...

The pain is real...

[Jovan]

I have just read the Jump+ oneshot Yuusha Goikkou no Kaerimichi from the Bozebeats mangaka (scanlated version). Visually top notch, I really need the guy to get a good story and be successful! Had few goosebumps even though the story is quite predictable.

MangaPlus does not pick up oneshots, so it would depend on Edited Mangas....which is unlikely, especially with this coming from what I can see a new author.

Guys, for future reference, can we try to reduce the amount of one-liner responses in here? If you're going to post a short (less than a sentence long) response, at least quote the post you're responding to.

Let's try to make responses more substantive, if possible.

Yoshiaki Sukeno (mangaka of Twin Star Exorcists) launched today a oneshot on Jump+ called Seiji & Roti no Monsuta Shinryosho (Seiji & Roti's Monster Clinic).
