Yoshiaki Sukeno (mangaka of Twin Star Exorcists) launched today a oneshot on Jump+ called Seiji & Roti no Monsuta Shinryosho (Seiji & Roti's Monster Clinic).

That looks like it could be really cute. I haven't read Twin Star Exorcists, but I did really like Binbougami-ga, so I wouldn't mind seeing this serialized after TSE ends.

Do we know why Astra Lost in Space is suddenly getting an anime now, a while after it ended? I suppose it could've just taken a long time to plan it out or something but even then you generally don't see adaptations of already completed manga unless it's an older classic.

Makes me wonder if Shinohara's maybe starting a new manga soon and it's a semi-promotional thing.

when it was announced didn't they say it was greenlit around volume 3 or is that something else? Maybe they decided to start production once the manga was all done but the staff already signed on were busy or it just had pre-production issues?

It was decided around chapter 20, but they didn't really start working on it until after it had finished.


He mentioned he was planning his next work at the end of 2018.

now that sales are posted... time for charts

first... minor corrections for the error on TPN & HQ charts last week, they are slightly off due to counting week 0 twice ( TPN by 476 , and HQ by 897)

2nd.... thoughts:

• TPN 14 had a relatively slow 4th week, but with reports of immediate reprints, there might be some stock shortage, anyway, it almost reached 590k and if nothing goes wrong it shoud cross 600k next week
• HQ 38 with a 30k drop VoV from vol.37 that had less days, and 70k less than the previous 6 days FW volume (vol.35)
• WT 20 slightly up VoV
• SNS 35 managed in 4 weeks (27 days) just 1673 copies more than Vol.2 in 2 weeks (13 days)
• Boruto 8 seemingly stabilised with around 7k less than the previous volume that had an extra day
• while WNL 12 is the best performing volume in a month but the boost is not that noticeable,
• Yuuna with a noticeable decline, especially considering that Vol. 11 -13 had limited editions
• Jigokuraku 6 almost reach 90k, should reach it in 2 more weeks

I've been studying Jump history now and really liked to know if there's any way to read ancient manga like Harenchi Gakuen, Otoko Ippiki and alikes.
Also, it's really funny to see how some of the most successful manga in Jump's first years were all gag manga (Harenchi Gakuen, Dokonjou Gaeru, Toilet Hakase, Arashi! San-piki

Yes and no. Right now TPN is selling more than HQ, but HQ's volume 14 sold 770k compared to TPN's volume 14 with 587k in the same time frame.

One often forgets just how much of a strong seller SnS was in its initial volumes itself.
230k for a 3rd volume is incredible irrespective of which year you put it in.
